Maggie Gyllenhaal Wore Chanel Haute Couture To ‘The French Dispatch’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Maggie Gyllenhaal made a return to the red carpet this evening (July 12), for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘The French Dispatch’ in her official capacity as jury member for this year’s event.

I’ve gone through several emotions when looking at this Chanel Spring 2021 Haute Couture look.

At first I didn’t like it.

Then I started to come around to this satin shirt and tulle maxi skirt ensemble, as it has the laidback New Yorker vibe (I can picture Sarah Jessica Parker wearing this too), which is so authentically Maggie.

Now, I’m at the point where I believe that platform heels, or a shorter skirt was needed to really sell this look.

What’s missing essentially is height.

Chopard jewels completed her look.
