January Jones’ Risky Rodarte For ‘The Politician’ New York Premiere

January Jones' Risky Rodarte For 'The Politician' New York Premiere

Taking a provocative turn down the red carpet, January Jones was at the New York premiere of ‘The Politician’ on Thursday (September 26).

I’m sure a lot of heads turned at her daring entrance. But, as the actress starred in the cinematic Rodarte Spring 2020 visual campaign, this look from the collection wasn’t all that surprising — especially right on the heels of New York Fashion Week.

The Studio 54 glitz of the peplum-top trousers — and boots — was one thing. But, it was the white keyhole bodice portion that gave me pause. Something between the top and bottom just seemed disjointed.

All that to say, I’m not sure I would have selected this particular, daring Rodarte look for the occasion. But, I have to commend her for taking the risk and keeping us on sparkly stiletto toes.

January’s style is actually much more interesting and risky than it’s allowed to be, but this look really reflects her true style. Love it. It’s not a boring dress.

Looks like whatever fabric was leftover from other looks were pieced together and voilà!

The top and bottom don’t go together at all…top looks like a t-shirt.

I like it, it’s bananas and looks fun. I could have done without the boots though.

It looks like cosplay of a computer game character.

This is avant avant garde couture straight from the runways.

Norms, stick to your safe, boring ankle boots.

Definitely agree that this is a sexy pirate costume. My first thought was en garde, sexy fencer. I do like the pants though combined with the blouse and the boots, I could consider this a contender for my WDOTY list but I have so many already that this one gets a pass.

I think I would have liked each element separately but together this is a big no from me.

Too many mis-matched elements. It looks very disjointed.
