Meg Ryan and Maggie Gyllenhaal showed their support for the Opera Garnier’s 350th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday (May 8) in Paris, France.
The audience took their seats under the venue’s stunning ceiling painted by Marc Chagall to enjoy a performance by Russian soprano Anna Netrebko, as part of the fund-raising gala supported by Schiaparelli and Rolex.
Meg Ryan: The actress’ style has always been regarded as understated and classic. So this Schiaparelli Fall 2018 Haute Couture gown feels like a slight step outside the norm with the collection of crystal detailing dripping from the bodice.
You wouldn’t feel like this velvet gown needed much else, but I have to say the diamond necklace added to the glamorous feeling here.
I would regard this as one of her best red carpet looks. Do you agree?
Maggie Gyllenhaal: ‘The Deuce’ star is usually all about colour and bold prints, but this Schiaparelli Haute Couture look saw her opt for a more simple and classic look.
I don’t think there are many occasions where a red lip doesn’t work with black and white, and here it adds a dramatic accent spicing up the dual-coloured look.
