Keri Russell In Johanna Ortiz – New York City Ballet’s 2017 Fall Fashion Gala & 2017 Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Brooklyn Black Tie Ball

If you look back over Keri Russell’s style file, you’ll notice that since May 30, 2017, there has been a distinct shift.

From that moment on she has pretty much wore Johanna Ortiz exclusively.

The obsession is real.

Gone are the measured, simple silhouettes for plenty of ruffles, tiers and in some cases colour.

Back in July she said in an interview with People Style, “I’ve just been so entranced by Johanna Ortiz and what she’s doing lately. She’s just so fun and it feels so feminine, and so I asked if I could borrow something from her new collection.”

That love has continued into September and October where Keri has gone from an asymmetrical black mini dress at the New York City Ballet’s 2017 Fall Fashion Gala, to a truly unique strapless evening piece with yet more statement ruffles and architectural construction at the Brooklyn Black Tie Ball.

Along with the dress, the earrings are stunning.

Long may the obsession continue.

Wish she’d do her hair, though.

There are a couple of outfits in the collection that I can see on Keri- but not these two. The bangs are not working for her…did she just copy the model?

Looks too much like 80s prom (on both the model and Keri)

    I think she looks great

I dont think this brand suits her at all by looking at these two dresses….Alll the ruffles and crap are not working on her.

Yes, these work! Sexy and feminine.

I think Keri would look amazing in this dress: https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2018-ready-to-wear/johanna-ortiz/slideshow/collection#26

The first is horrendous, almost comical, really, Dinasty Redux.
The 2nd is “nice”, I don’t think that is the best colour for her constitution

The first dress is a nightmare. I agree. The 2nd is “nice.” Sort of.

I agree about the colour of the second one. I do not mind the cut, but the red would have been more eye catching.

She looks nice though I prefer the red version of gown.

Both dresses are too long. Keri Russell is 1.63 m and the model is probably 1.8 m. Those lacking 17 cm are painfully obvious. Why can’t they be properly fitted/hemmed? I know they are just borrowed – but that blush gown is basically moonlighting as a broom, how can that be better than to make some (temporary) adjustments?

Beautiful. Not convinced by the hair in either look, but she looks great. The earrings are to die for.
