Robin Wright In Haute Hippie – ‘A Most Wanted Man’ New York Premiere

Robin Wright In Haute Hippie - 'A Most Wanted Man' New York Premiere

Robin Wright attended the New York premiere for ‘A Most Wanted Man’ held at the Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday (July 22) in New York City.

Being the yin to Rachel McAdams yang, the ‘House of Cards’ actress opted for a laidback mannish approach, wearing a beige sleeveless top with Haute Hippie Fall 2014 tuxedo capone striped trousers paired with tan leather laceups.

While I am someone who tends to favour a more girlie approach to red carpet dressing – unless your name is Tilda Swinton – this look is very well executed. Strange as this may sound, it looks like she dressed herself.

I’m not crazy about the look but I do like that she looks comfortable.

I’m actually glad she didn’t mix it up with a more feminine touch – there’s a lot of sex appeal here. If she wanted to dress up a bit more I’d suggest going with what she already has here: an ivory cuff, or a simple green pendant, maybe a simple stone, or a beautiful leather jacket folded and carried on one arm.

Too butch. She should have put in more of an effort.

call me decidedly unimpressed by this all-too-casual getup.

That’s a statement “I don’t care what you think about my red carpet look”, I believe she really doesn’t care about us, here, posting… and I love her for that 🙂

I like everything but the shoes. They really make this look masculine. If she wore a pump or sandal I would have been sold on this look.

      Agreed.

I’m fond of a bit of a masculine approach but she took the whole thing too literally here. I need a powerful lipstick or statement jewelry and an ankle boot to get on board with this look.

I see what she was going for, but it’s not working for me.

      Ditto.

She’s so sexy! I love her style these days. So confident in her own skin!

I like what she is wearing, but once again, she is looking really masculine. EXPECIALLY in that outfit, with this hairstyle, and the fact that she looks totally flat-chested. No jewelry. I am not wowed – I like a more feminine look, but that’s just me!
