Jessica Chastain In Elie Saab – 40th Anniversary of Sir Charlie Chaplin’s Honorary Academy Award

The final stretch to the Oscar has officially begun.

Festivities kicked off in LA yesterday evening with the 40th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin’s honorary Academy Award at the Chateau Marmont.

Jessica Chastain completely blew me away in a Kelly green Elie Saab Spring 2012 gown.

The bright dress makes the actress’ waist look teeny, cinched with a matching green belt, and lace insets around her décolletage add a hint of skin.

I can’t wait to see what Jessica brings to the carpet over the coming days.

FINALLY she wears something exciting! Love it!

  3. Dhppy February 23, 2012 at 17:08 #

Yay! Elie Saab to the rescue! She looks amazing here. This is such a successful rebound from some of her recent red carpet faux pas.

  4. Alina February 23, 2012 at 16:09 #

WOW! Her best look EVER !

  5. SandTony February 23, 2012 at 12:21 #

Still missing the clutch. But, who cares when she looked this good.

    BDOTW nominee

I adore this. The colour on her, the silhouette, teh hair (excusing the behind the ear thing), the ring, everythign is much improved.
I have hope for the Oscars, so much so that I think we might even get a clutch, but I don’t want to push it.

    WOW. BDOTW!!!

I really hope she wears Elie Saab to the Oscars. Perhaps explore the peach and peacock blue colors in the same season.

Love this look on Queen Chastain <3

I would have loved this in a darker shade of green.

  12. Maz February 22, 2012 at 22:48 #

The King works wonders again! Her best ever so far…

  13. Paulo February 22, 2012 at 22:13 #

To me, this is the most youthful and best she has looked throughout her entire red carpet run.

  14. J February 22, 2012 at 22:02 #

I’m tired of seeing her in green.

I think this is the best she has looked this awards season. Still missing the clutch… maybe we will get lucky on Sunday 😉

      maybe 🙂

  16. Paddy M February 22, 2012 at 20:45 #

Why can’t she do this more often? 😀

    • CreoleLady February 23, 2012 at 01:44 #

I was asking myself this same question. Saab to the rescue….

  17. Leni February 22, 2012 at 20:38 #

    BDOTW. Amazing.Now that’s what I’m talking about.

  18. Emma February 22, 2012 at 20:27 #

The green looks amazing against her hair. Still longing for a clutch, but she’s radiant

    • Fashion Critic February 22, 2012 at 20:30 #

I think she’s saving a clutch for the Oscars 😉

I’m not sure I like how it looks around the bust, but the red hair and green dress combo is working its magic.

  20. Rahel February 22, 2012 at 20:02 #

I’m not a big fan of her outfits but she looks stunning in this green dress.

  21. Sea February 22, 2012 at 19:57 #

Love the hair, makeup and the dress. Perfection! BDOTW please! 🙂

I wish her hair was a bit brighter/deeper shade of red, I’m missing these pop of red against green that usually works so well. Perhaps brighter lips would’ve helped then. The lace inserts don’t quite work with her bust.

  23. SilentVisitor February 22, 2012 at 19:50 #

I love love love it but I am probably biased since I am a huge Elie Saab fan. Perhaps it is the picture but I find the green version of the model much more vibrant while the one of Jessica is pale.
One of my dreams is to own an Elie Saab gown…….

  24. Henrique February 22, 2012 at 19:44 #

I think this is her best look this year to date.

    • anna February 22, 2012 at 22:23 #

agreed! i think it’s the first time i really like what she’s wearing!

    • smolls February 23, 2012 at 01:19 #

Totally agree! She looks amazing here & you can’t beat a redhead/green dress combo.

    • Jess2 February 24, 2012 at 14:56 #

      Absolutely!!! love this look

  25. EmmaWoodhouse February 22, 2012 at 19:43 #

Lovely!!! (I’m assuming part of that bodice is lined) I LOVE her in green and this is a great comeback after that McQueen disaster! She got the makeup/hair right here too. I wish she’d carry a clutch at the Oscars…:D

    • Audra February 24, 2012 at 02:26 #

I love her in green too!

I think she is the best discovery of 2011… even though she hasn’t hit it out of the park on every red carpet, her personality and natural charisma come through in each and every look…. unlike say Rooney Mara who sucks the life out of every look. I prefer her a 100000000000000000%

  26. DivaDebbi (Beauty and Fashion Blog) February 22, 2012 at 19:31 #

Its quite wonderful, though I prefer it on a smaller bust. Can’t wait for Sunday!
