Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Amy Adams In Oscar de la Renta - 2013 Vanity Fair PartyAfter debuting an extravagant Oscar de la Renta ball gown on the Academy Awards red carpet, Amy Adams changed into something a bit more manageable for the 2013 Vanity Fair Party at Sunset Tower in Hollywood.

While ‘The Master’ star didn’t win the Best Supporting Actress nod, she still brought another Oscar to the Vanity Fair party, as she wore a dress from de la Renta’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Following last night’s metallic trend, she was dripping in silver with this caviar-beaded fringe gown, which was paired with diamond drop earrings and a bracelet.

With the flapper flair of this look, it would have been expected for Amy to wear her hair in a retro pin curl. But she kept her her auburn locks sleekly swept back into a simple updo, similar to what we saw earlier in the evening.

Anne Hathaway in Saint Laurent - 2013 Vanity Fair PartyAfter a rather perky appearance in a surprising baby-pink Prada gown on the Academy Awards red carpet, Anne Hathaway changed into another dress for Graydon Carter’s 2013 Vanity Fair Party, hosted at the Sunset Tower in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

Her second look was another column gown, this time a custom design from Saint Laurent with a metallic sequin triangular neckline. I’m glad she didn’t try to wear another necklace here.

But the shapeless silhouette and dove grey colour had me yawning; that is, until the ‘Les Miserables’ star cracked her infectious wide smile, which was glossed in a pretty pink hue, as she posed with her proudest new gold accessory.

I really wanted to love Anne’s fashion on her big night. Unfortunately, her looks weren’t quite as triumphant as her Best Supporting Actress win.

Bella Heathcote In Chanel Couture - 2013 Vanity Fair PartyBella Heathcote took Chanel out for a second spin in as many days, as she attended the 2013 Vanity Fair Party, hosted at West Hollywood’s Sunset Tower last night.

After her first floral dress, the Australian actress plucked another nature-inspired cocktail frock, this time from Chanel’s Spring 2013 Couture collection. She took all the sweet elements from the runway and left off the more sinister details seen on the model.

That means the whimsical butterfly brooch stayed put. But she skipped the silver space-age gloves and high boots, the gothic organza eyelashes and that feathered topper.

Instead, she added some delightful sparkle with a metallic clutch, Jimmy Choo ‘Tease’ sandals and Chanel fine jewels.

The off-the-shoulder cape collar and A-line silhouette was charming in this demure, vintage-inspired dress.

Bella’s feminine rose-toned makeup and her old Hollywood updo with a side-swept bang completed the retro vibe.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior - 2013 Vanity Fair PartyNatalie Portman was the picture of grace, as she attended the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars Party with her husband, Benjamin Millepied, at the Sunset Tower in Hollywood, California.

The face for Miss Dior Cherie perfume, she naturally donned a Christian Dior design last night. And she wore it well.

The gown’s empire waist gave way to a long, flowing skirt that fell to the floor, elongating her petite frame. The black sash that sliced through the left side of this gown was a modern flourish to edge up the sweet silhouette.

Emerald green earrings by Anna Hu cut through this monochromatic moment, and I loved them for that.

WIth a sleek, side-parted updo and a petal-pink lip, the actress and former Academy Award winner looked every bit the effortless star.

2013VanityFair_HaileeSteinfeld

Hailee Steinfeld joined a host of other PYTs at the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, hosted by editor Graydon Carter last night at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.

But her Valentino dress was neither pretty nor young.

The heavy leather gown, paired with a Jill Milan clutch, was a near sin for this actress. Her girlish figure was completely covered up from head to toe in overwrought fabric. I couldn’t get past that white bib either.

This is what ‘Little House on the Prairie’ goes goth looks like.

The undone updo didn’t help matters here either, although she really couldn’t have worn her hair down.

At the sweet age of 16, this bright-eyed starlet can do so much better.

Elizabeth Banks In Alexander McQueen

Elizabeth Banks was one of the many stars to attend the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars party, hosted on Sunday evening at the Sunset Tower in Hollywood.

The ‘The Hunger Games’ actress wore a bold Alexander McQueen gown, Brian Atwood shoes, Dior jewels and an Alexander McQueen clutch.

The vibrant orange gown makes Elizabeth look fun and fresh and she pulls of the low-cut bodice well.

Unfortunately, the star’s hair is entirely too otherworldly for my taste. The height of the pouf just looks silly, instead of finishing her look off strong.

What do you think? Is this look a win, or does the hair detract from the gorgeous gown?
