Olivia Culpo In Mario Dice – 2017 ESPYS

Olivia Culpo may have been supporting her NFL quarterback boyfriend Danny Amendola at the 2017 ESPY Awards on Wednesday (July 12) in LA, but all eyes were most certainly directed her way with her winning statement in white.

From her impossibly chic bob, to her Mario Dice Fall 2017 cold-shoulder gown, right down to her miniature Lucite clutch and white sandals, her look was head-to-toe flawless.

I love how the dress was graced with pearls for a modern interpretation of the eternally classic accessory.

I would have never looked twice at this design on the runway, but Olivia imbues it with so much sophisticated allure that now I cannot look away.

Front Row @ Valentino Fall 2017 Couture

Valentino closed Fall 2017 Couture Week in Paris on Wednesday (July 6), with the balmy evening leading attendees to opt for flowy gowns.

Laetitia Casta: Following her Vogue Paris Foundation dinner unimpressive look, the model turned things around in this feminine Valentino Fall 2017 halter number.

Brie Larson: Taking in her second show of the week, Brie’s Valentino Resort 2018 gown felt very similar to her first in that it makes a dark, whimsy statement; this time without any heavy jewels.

Sofia Coppola: The directors red carpet M.O. has always comfort and easy wearability; two things this simple green Valentino Resort 2018 dress possesses. I like how her accessories, mostly the necklace, prevents look this from feeling too causal for the event.

Front Row @ Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture

The Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture show was held on Wednesday (July 5) during Paris Fashion Week. Here, a glance at a few of the looks on the front row.

Nieves Alvarez: You may anticipate glittering embellishment and wispy chiffon with an Elie Saab look, but Nieves turned that notion on its head in this Elie Saab Spring 2017 jumpsuit styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a Bvlgari bag and jewels. Naturally, Nieves rocked this star power jumpsuit, and I love how sleekly fitted it was—not to mention its retro yet relevant influence in that flared leg.

Olivia Palermo: While Olivia did introduce some embellishment to her look, she moderated the effect of her bedazzled and feathered coat by contradictorily pairing it with ripped, cropped denim. The fringed, decorative mules tied the look together by echoing the statement jacket.

Clotilde Courau: With a more traditionally pretty Elie Saab look, Clotilde wore one of the designer’s gowns with this sheer number that was whimsically enlivened with luminescent, embroidered hearts throughout.

Front Row @ Armani Prive Fall 2017

A trio of lovelies turned out for the Armani Prive Fall 2017 show as part of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (July 4), each representing a monochromatic Armani look.

Naomi Watts: While I loved the crisp structure of Naomi’s blazer, it lost some of its appeal against the exploded-floral-embroidered dress. The flared length of the frock felt awkward, but it was perhaps the nude shoe colour that was the most distracting miss.

Kate Winslet: The sparkling embellishment at the shoulder and waist of this LBD is what sold it to me—that, and how effortlessly Kate wore it. A sandal would have been preferred, though, to her Rupert Sanderson pumps.

Priyanka Chopra: Methinks the high-low hemline of this white frock ventured a bit too high. Nor did the diamond earrings mixed with the dress’s sportier drawstring detailing and black, lace-up shoes really come together.

What do you make of these three looks?

amfAR Paris Dinner 2017

The amfAR Paris Dinner was hosted at the Grand Palais on Sunday (July 2), and it certainly served up an eclectic array of looks.

Cindy Bruna: Statuesque and striking, the French model was a study in sleek simplicity in a Dsquared2 gown that looked to sharp tailoring and a mode of Le Smoking sensibility for inspiration. I love how the belted waist fully celebrated the structured sophistication with de Grisogono jewels adding a touch of sparkle.

Noemie Lenoir: Alternatively, there was no place for minimalism in this French model-actress’s Jean-Paul Gaultier Fall 2016 Couture ensemble. I was delighted to see this look stripped down from its original runway presentation, as the glittery sequin split tunic top and foliage-embossed pants were plenty decorative enough.

Sarah Snyder: Creating her own sexy, mod superheroine vibe out of this Fendi Pre-Fall 2017 high-low dress, Sarah styled the frock with what can only be called fierce Fendi over-the-knee boots that did reflect the red textural fabric on the underside of the skirt. Or, should we call it a cape.
