Mutya Keisha Siobhan In Sister Jane & Charlotte Taylor – 2013 Mobo Awards

MOBO Awards 2013 - Red Carpet Arrivals

We knew them as the Sugababes, but they are back as Mutya Keisha Siobhan— older and, after much turbulence in the group, hopefully wiser.

The three-piece group, who haven’t aged much since they originally formed in 1998, attended the 2013 MOBO Awards held at The Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday evening. They did what The Saturdays fail to do when they get together— dress well as a girl group.

Siobhan Donaghy: Opting for chic tailoring over a mini dress, the red-haired singer donned a Sister Jane corduroy blazer with delicate teal blue chinoiserie print and black satin lapels; a simple, sleek, long-sleeved, white blouse featuring an eye-catching row of sparkling blue triangle buttons; and black high-waist trousers. River Island high heel loafers accessorized her look with kohl-rimmed eyes and pink lips rounding it out.

Keisha Buchanan: Adding a pop of red to her juicy full lips, the singer wore a Charlotte Taylor, woven jacquard, black-and-white ram print, high-neck, long-sleeved dress that was nipped in the waist. The ultra mini was styled with a sexy pair of caged booties, adding yet more sass to her look.

Mutya Buena: Despite the heavy rainfall, Mutya also wore a mini dress. She selected this Sister Jane blue star-embellished blouson dress styled with ankle strap sandals and oversized hooped earrings.

Of the three, Siobhan’s chic style wins me over with Keisha’s sexy mini at a close second.

Jessie J in Jean-Pierre Braganza – MOBO Awards Nominations Launch

Jessie J in Jean-Pierre Braganza - MOBO Awards Nominations Launch

Prior to the 2013 GQ Men of the Year Awards, Jessie J attended the nominations launch for the MOBO Awards held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

The singer opted for black again, this time wearing a Jean-Pierre Braganza Fall 2013 jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and wrap-tie detail at the waist.

Even with the deep plunge and gold accessories I find this look really boring. I miss the days when she used to have more fun with fashion.

I know many of you disliked her GQ Awards look, but I prefer it over this look.

Rita Ora In McQ Alexander McQueen – 2012 MOBO Awards

Rita Ora donned a second look which she wore to collect her ‘Best Newcomer’ Award on Saturday evening at the 2012 MOBO Awards, held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

The singer gave us our second look at the floral delights from the McQ McQueen Fall 2012 collection within a week.

Her black tulle tutu dress with colourful floral appliqués was styled with the same gold Dsquared² strappy sandals she wore on the red carpet.

Rita styled her look for a gold thin belt, instead of the utilitarian black leather belt the model wore on the runway, plus a selection of gold jewels.

I’m sure many of you will share my disappointment with the limp tulle neckline, but sometimes it isn’t possible to recreate the runway magic, or maybe this was deliberate in this case as not to obscure Rita’s face the whole night.

You may remember that Victoria Justice wore a similar dress back in May to the 2012 Met Gala.

Rita Ora In Mugler – 2012 MOBO Awards

Rita Ora took to the red carpet on Saturday evening for the 2012 MOBO Awards, held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

The singer wore a Mugler Fall 2012 ensemble.

Her white look featured a cropped jacket with exaggerated shoulders, plus a white top paired with a high-waist peplum skirt.

The singer styled her sleek, yet bold look with a rust coloured satin Sergio Rossi clutch, gold Dsquared² strappy sandals and gold statement jewels.

Beautywise, she sported a familiar dark lip, heavy eye makeup and wild blonde tresses.

I love the look. She carries off all the elements very well, but I wish she would switch up the makeup from time to time.

You may remember that Zhang Ziyi wore this same look back in September.

Jessie J In Julien Macdonald – 2011 MOBO Awards

Jessie J was a big winner at the 2011 MOBO Awards last night as she took home four out of the five MOBO awards she was nominated for.

The singer walked the red carpet for the first time without her cast, wearing a Julien Macdonald Fall 2011 gown.

Her dramatic gothic chiffon gown with a lace bodice was an unusual choice for an urban awards show, but she was the most original as everyone else opted for short mini dresses.

Jessie’s look was made that much more dramatic with bold red lips and dark eyes against her porcelain skin.

Her trademark bob has been replaced with tumbling dark curls and she accessorized with gold jewels.

Love it or hate it?
