Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Rita Ora took to the red carpet on Saturday evening for the 2012 MOBO Awards, held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

The singer wore a Mugler Fall 2012 ensemble.

Her white look featured a cropped jacket with exaggerated shoulders, plus a white top paired with a high-waist peplum skirt.

The singer styled her sleek, yet bold look with a rust coloured satin Sergio Rossi clutch, gold Dsquared² strappy sandals and gold statement jewels.

Beautywise, she sported a familiar dark lip, heavy eye makeup and wild blonde tresses.

I love the look. She carries off all the elements very well, but I wish she would switch up the makeup from time to time.

You may remember that Zhang Ziyi wore this same look back in September.

Jessie J was a big winner at the 2011 MOBO Awards last night as she took home four out of the five MOBO awards she was nominated for.

The singer walked the red carpet for the first time without her cast, wearing a Julien Macdonald Fall 2011 gown.

Her dramatic gothic chiffon gown with a lace bodice was an unusual choice for an urban awards show, but she was the most original as everyone else opted for short mini dresses.

Jessie’s look was made that much more dramatic with bold red lips and dark eyes against her porcelain skin.

Her trademark bob has been replaced with tumbling dark curls and she accessorized with gold jewels.

Love it or hate it?

Jourdan Dunn attended the 2011 MOBO Awards which were held in Glasgow, Scotland last night.

The British supermodel is impossibly beautiful wearing a Roberto Cavalli nude sleeveless gown with gold embroidered details.

I have had many jaw-dropping moments over the last 4 weeks, but this ranks very highly amongst them.

Whilst it’s her job to look beautiful and work this gown, I’m still in total awe.

This look will definitely make it into the BDOTW poll tomorrow.

Jourdan did a quick change during the show by donning this Mark Fast dress.

The black-knit fashion-forward dress was paired with floral ankle strap heels, a silver metallic clutch and a coiled cuff.

I loved the addition of the floral heels which is very unexpected with such a dress.

Jourdan has travelled the same miles as me and has done more shows than I have attended this Fashion Month – I wish I looked this fresh.

The 2010 MOBO Awards took place at the Liverpool Echo arena last night.

Singer Corinne Bailey Rae arrived wearing a Derek Lam Fall 2010 black gown with a deep plunging neckline.

The jersey dress is super sexy without being too suggestive.

Her look was paired with a Mulberry Daria clutch which was just presented during the Spring 2011 presentations.

She later changed into Roksanda Ilincic Arisha silk-satin dress from the Fall 2010 collection.

Her forest green silk-satin pencil dress has an oversized collar and an asymmetrical draped panel.

The surprise part of this dress is the back which is a rich chocolate-brown colour which is the same colour as her grosgrain belt with a sequin and bead-embellished floral detail at the back.

Corinne completed her look with a pair of green gold studded ankle boots.

She was by far the best dressed at this event.

2009 MOBO Awards

Even though Alexandra Burke didn’t pick up any awards at the MOBOs last night, she was one of the Best Dressed of the night as she sparkled in an Emilio Pucci blue minidress.

Keri Hilson thankfully brings a bit of glamour to this dull awards do, sporting a cute red strapless D&G dress with a bell-shaped skirt.

Loving the sparkling heels.

Leather is one of the hottest trends of the Fall season, but working the look head-to-toe was Kelly Rowland’s downfall.

Biker chic gone very very bad paired with leopard print heels. eeek.

VV Brown seems to love her faux-fur hat as this is the second time she has worn it to an event this.

This time she paired the hat with a silk print batwings Mansih Arora dress, and black heels.

I remember a time when the MOBOs was a big deal. Judging by this red carpet its clear to see it isn’t anymore.
