Carrie Underwood In Randi Rahm – 2012 CMT Music Awards

Carrie Underwood channeled her inner rockstar at the 2012 CMT Music Awards, which took place in Nashville on Wednesday evening.

Opting for a surprising black ensemble, Carrie showed off some leg in a silver-and-black sequined Randi Rahm mini dress.

The country singer accessorized the look with edgy Gio Diev ankle-cuff booties and a matching Rene Caovilla black satin and Swarovski crystal clutch.

I was completely shocked to see that Carrie did not wear yet another tulle-heavy gown, especially for such a major country music event.

Whilst I am ecstatic to see something new from Carrie on the red carpet, those ankle boots bring the whole look down for me.

Kristen Bell In Reem Acra – 2012 CMT Music Awards

Kristen Bell hit the red carpet at the 2012 CMT Music Awards, held in Nashville on Wednesday evening, before heading inside to co-host the awards.

The actress looked gorgeous in a shimmering gold Reem Acra Spring 2012 gown with sequin embellishments.

Although Kristen stands at just 5’1”, this elegant dress elongates her frame, making her seem just as statuesque as the runway model.

Kristen certainly has the right look in mind for this particular awards show, as this dress easily could have been stolen from Taylor Swift’s wardrobe.

Graziela A Rose World earrings, smoky eyes, a bright pink pout, a gold Judith Leiber ‘Phillips’ ribbed crystal clutch and a faux wavy bob complete the look.

Taylor Swift In Porcelain – CMT Artists Of The Year 2011

Taylor Swift has been honoured yet again for her country music, this time at the CMT Artists of the Year 2011 event at Nashville, Tennessee.

Red has always been a great colour for Taylor. The 2010 CMA Awards and the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards proved that.

On this occasion she opted for the rich hue again wearing this striking Porcelain strapless corset dress with pleated skirt.

Gold shimmering Christian Louboutin pumps, diamond-encrusted earrings and gold ring by Lorraine Schwartz completed her look.

Taylor’s look wouldn’t be complete without a wavy updo and that perfect red pout.

Jennifer Nettles In Valentino – 2011 CMT Music Awards

Jennifer Nettles joined Sheryl Crow and Nicole Kidman on the red carpet last night at the 2011 CMT Music Awards in Nashville last night.

The singer wore a sexy Valentino leather and lace dress from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection with an asymmetrical ruffled neckline and short leather skirt.

This look was the perfect choice to show off those perfect pins.

Jennifer didn’t add much other than a ring and black strappy sandals to her look, as the dress speaks for itself.

Sheryl Crow In Catherine Malandrino & All Saints – 2011 CMT Awards

Sheryl Crow looked divine as she walked the red carpet at the 2011 CMT Music Awards in Nashville this evening.

The Country singer dazzled in a white Catherine Malandrino gorgeous silk cowl neckline gown with a multi crystal patch at the hip.

Whilst I’m a magpie to any type of embellishment, I think Sheryl’s dress would’ve looked a lot better without that hip detail.

It’s not really adding anything to the look, plus I makes her appear a tad wider than she actually is.

A more streamlined version would’ve been preferred.

Some ethnic bangles and a beaded clutch completed her look.

For her performance on the show with Kid Rock, Sheryl changed into a crush white blazer which she paired with an AllSaints Aztec skirt which showed off her super toned tanned legs.

She added long necklace with a crucifix and tan wedges to her laidback performance look.

Nicole Kidman In Proenza Schouler – 2011 CMT Awards

I have been crushing on Nicole Kidman for a while now, so I was really excited to see what she wore next on the red carpet.

She wore another interesting look tonight at the 2011 CMT Music Awards, opting for a modern Proenza Schouler Fall 2011 dress.

The green and blue striped velvet dress with a black chiffon skirt appears to be modified from the runway.

Either Nicole’s version has a nude lining; her dress isn’t as lined as the runway version; or the skirt doesn’t look as dark because she’s (thankfully) not wearing tights.

Whatever the reason, I’m not too fond of how the nude lining looks on Nicole.

The dress was better presented on the runway.

Nicole’s dress gives me the feeling that something is missing.

I do however love those Pierre Hardy lilac sandals.
