Greta Gerwig In Lanvin – ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Greta Gerwig In Lanvin - ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Greta Gerwig attended ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ premiere, which served as the opening ceremony of the 64th Berlinale International Film Festival held at Berlinale Palast on Thursday (February 6) in Berlin, Germany.

The actress, and jury member for this festival, wore a Lanvin Spring 2014 custom-made bronze liquid lamé tiered gown featuring black grosgrain detailing and a black woven belt with crystal paisley accents.

Usually, when I’m not sure about a dress, I say to myself ‘could Diane Kruger, Cate Blanchett or Tilda Swinton pull this off?’ If my answer is no, then I know I really don’t like it. That is sadly the case on this occasion.

Between the colour and the tiered detailing on the hips, this has to be my least favourite custom piece by the great Monsieur Alber Elbaz.

Tilda Swinton In Schiaparelli Couture – ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Tilda Swinton In Schiaparelli Couture - 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' Berlinale Film Festival PremiereThere was no missing Tilda Swinton at ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ premiere on Wednesday (February 6) during the 64th Berlinale Film Festival at the Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany.

After dialing down her look for the film’s photo call, the British star came out with fashion guns blazing in a Schiaparelli Spring 2014 Couture ensemble.

Slouchy yet still sharply tailored, the black suiting separates, white blouse and ruffles became nearly regal on Tilda’s statuesque frame, giving us sophistication and a slight daring edge—especially with that massive, door-knocker cocktail ring on her finger.

Naturally more mannish in appeal, as we are accustomed to seeing on Tilda, the entire look was really stripped straight from the runway, retaining even the quirky, feathered sandals and the hair and makeup styling.

While she didn’t take her blonde locks to the model’s colourful range of hues, she did have a similar slightly wild, barrel-curl ’do. And that bright red lip lacquer was fully intact, too.

Yay or nay?

Olivia Munn In Michael Kors – ‘RoboCop’ Stockholm Premiere

Olivia Munn In Michael Kors - 'RoboCop' Stockholm PremiereOlivia Munn attended the Stockholm premiere of ‘Robocop,’ hosted at the Rigoletto in Sweden on Thursday (February 6).

The actress was back to embracing colour in her Michael Kors Spring 2014 halter gown with ruched detailing and a backless silhouette, removing the coat seen on the runway.

Between the frock’s grass-green hue and the white flower print, this was a sunny and fresh red-carpet entrance that had all the makings of low-key, easy glamour.

She completed the breezy appeal with a bronzed tan, pink lip and wavy locks.

Saoirse Ronan In Valentino -’The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Saoirse Ronan In Valentino -'The Grand Budapest Hotel' Berlinale Film Festival PremiereAfter attending ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ photo call, Saoirse Ronan took to the red carpet alongside Léa Seydoux for the film’s premiere on Wednesday (February 6) during the 64th Berlinale Film Festival at the Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany.

The actress found inspiration in the Valentino Spring 2014 collection, wearing a loosely silhouetted, emerald-green gown.

Leaving most of the theatrical styling to the runway, she did add the drama of the same studded headband atop her sleek, straight locks. While she accessorized with a gold cuff, that pendant choker necklace was nowhere in sight.

She also skipped sandals in favour of black peep-toe heels.

The colour of the dress was captivating here. But my wish is that it had been a bit more flattering and bit less tent-like.

Lea Seydoux In Prada – ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Lea Seydoux In Prada - 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' Berlinale Film Festival PremiereLéa Seydoux was on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ on Wednesday (February 6) during the 64th Berlinale Film Festival at Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany.

The actress took a Prada gown out for a spin, wearing this nearly neon-pink number with a slight train.

The design house’s signature quirk came in, not only with the colour, but also with the short sleeves and stark black embellishment around the bodice.

That said, I’m not sure the dress translated as effectively as would have been preferred, especially with the rather unfortunate sheen of the fabric.

Keeping her makeup to a minimum with only a light-pink lip, she pulled her hair into a side-parted low bun—although I believe there are far better hues than bright bubblegum to go with those flame-red locks.

Did you like this pink Prada moment for Léa?
