Maggie Gyllenhaal In Preen & Gucci – Berlinale International Film Festival

Maggie Gyllenhaal has been making the rounds at the 67th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, where she’s recently attended a press conference, photo call, and the ‘Django’ premiere on Wednesday (February 8) and Thursday (February 9).

Jury Press Conference
: The actress channeled her inner flower child in a Preen Resort 2017 dress, toughened up with black boots. There was a lot of print here, but the ruched shaping helped manage the silhouette.

Jury Photo Call
: The flower power continued in a Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 frock that fully embraced Maggie’s love of a bohemian style spirit. That bright pink bow was just the right happy finish for this exploded print.

‘Django’ Premiere
: The rich boho vibe continued at the premiere, where she again wore a Gucci gown. Given the highly decorative embroidery and the powder pink colour, this was not an easy-to-wear look, but she carried it off beautifully with this attention-commanding entrance.

Toni Garrn In BOSS – ‘Django’ Berlin Film Festival Premiere

There’s nothing I love more than a European film festival, so all hail the 67th Berlinale International Film Festival.

Toni Garrn had me stunned as she shimmied down the red carpet for the opening night premiere of ‘Django’ this evening (February 9) in Berlin, Germany.

She wore BOSS gold sequin gown which no doubt had heads turning at break-neck speed to take in all of its beauty.

You know I can’t resist sequins, so I’m going gaga over how this captures the casual glamour and elegance of the 1990s slip – while still possessing all the attributes I look for in a BDOTY worthy look.

Olga Kurylenko In J. Mendel – Berlin Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Olga Kurylenko In J Mendel - Berlin Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Saturday (February 14) saw us bid farewell to the Berlinale International Film Festival with the closing ceremony held at the Berlinale Palace in Berlin, Germany, with Olga Kurylenko taking centre stage.

The Ukrainian beauty wore a J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2015 strapless gown in the classic colour-block combo of black and white, with a touch of asymmetry giving the look a modern touch.

I love how this gown marries a sleek crepe fitted body with a silk chiffon pleated underlay that drapes elegantly for a pristine finish with maximum impact.

Shaking up the minimalist nature of the look, she added dazzling earrings for a final flourish.

Lily James In Christian Dior – ‘Cinderella’ Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Lily James In Christian Dior - 'Cinderella' Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Lily James swept onto the red carpet of the ‘Cinderalla’ premiere at Berlinale Palace during the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival on Friday (February 13) in Berlin, Germany.

Having her own enchanted moment, the starlet wore a subtly shimmering, ballet-pink silk gown with pleated detailing and a tonal waistband for shaping.

The beauty of the look was in its minimalist simplicity, in which dainty De Beers jewels provided a graceful touch of sparkle alongside her sleek, centre-parted strands.

Of course, the Jimmy Choo ‘Cinderella’ shoes, commissioned especially for the occasion, were another jewel piece having been encrusted with hundreds of crystals.

Here, Lily is the epitome of a modern princess.

Cate Blanchett In Givenchy – ‘Cinderella’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Cate Blanchett In Givenchy - 'Cinderella' Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Cate Blanchett captivated during both the ‘Cinderella’ photocall and premiere hosted at the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany on Friday (February 13).

Photocall: At the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the actress who plays the Evil Stepmother in the film couldn’t have looked more chic in a Givenchy Pre-Fall 2015 ensemble. The relaxed tailoring of the loose white blouse melded perfectly with the more structured silhouette of the belted skirt and side ruffle detail. The semi-visible balconette bra underneath only added another layer of allure to the look, which she finished with a sophisticated side-parted bun and black Givenchy ‘Matilda’ sandals.

Premiere: Cutting a wickedly good profile, Cate let her hair down for the red carpet at Berlinale Palace and stunned in a bold Givenchy Pre-Fall 2015 metallic gown, slightly modified from the lookbook version. She played her own version of the game of Tetris in the gleaming dress. The pixel-inspired block design was graphic, geometric and glorious, and she balanced it perfectly with Givenchy ‘Clara’ sandals and tousled blonde waves.

An impressive double fashion feature—Queen Cate has done it again.
