Ashley Madekwe Front Row @ London Fashion Week

Ashley Madekwe has been my fashion darling of London Fashion Week, hot on the strappy heels of Solange Knowles who took the crown for New York.

We’ve seen Ashley looking super slick and sexy at her first-ever Burberry Prorsum show; here is a look at the rest of her looks.

Topshop Unique: Quite the master of the high-low mix, the British actress kick-started her LFW adventure at the Topshop Unique show, where she wore a simple black top with an attention-grabbing forest-green Topshop sequin skirt styled with a Chanel shoulder bag and Charlotte Olympia sandals with a gold platform.

Matthew Williamson: Wearing a fuchsia shirt dress with a tweed wrap plaid skirt from the British designers Pre-Fall 2014 collection, she styled the look with her Burberry Brit leather jacket, that is working its way up my wish list, and her Chanel bag once again.

Whistles: Perhaps my favourite look from her this week (my mind keeps on changing) was her blush-pink strapless Whistles jumpsuit with a fitted bodice and loose-fit tapered pants. This elegant look was styled with Shamballa Jewels earrings and dusky-pink accessories. I love the dark-and-light-pink combo here. She has a keen eye for what works well together.

Which was your favourite look from Ashley?

It’s a Burberry-Whistles tie for me.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 Womenswear Show

The Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 fashion show took place during London Fashion Week this afternoon (February 17).

As we’ve come to expect, the hottest ticket in town attracted a lot of celebrity faces, some of whom also attended the menswear show last month. Bradley Cooper didn’t take to the red carpet, but you can see him seated next to Anna Wintour below.

Paloma Faith: After working a summery BDOTY-worthy look for the menswear show, Paloma was in a more Fall-like mood. Wearing pieces from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection including a London landscape printed tee and green jacquard pencil skirt, she wore the same maroon hat she wore for her last red carpet appearance, but it worked much better on this occasion when styled with a matching coat.

Naomie Harris: While the coat-and-open-toe-sandals fashion police may not favour this look, I have to say I’m loving the chic combo of the velvet devore coat with the chartreuse velvet sandal. Did I say love? Yes, LOVE.

Calvin Klein Collection Fall 2014 Front Row

Lupita Nyong’o and Naomi Watts attended the Calvin Klein Collection Fall 2014 fashion show during New York Fashion Week, held at Spring Studios on Thursday (February 13) in New York City.

There was heavy snow in the city, but both ladies opted for light pastel hues.

Lupita Nyong’o: The actress, who was seated next to Anna Wintour, wore a soft-pink Calvin Klein Collection Pre-Fall 2014 cozy long-sleeve dress with a tied waist which she styled with matching CK sandals and a CK grey clutch. The dress is gorgeous; it’s yet another great colour choice , but I’m not a fan of the grey clutch.

Naomi Watts: I also found myself frowning at Naomi’s dark accessories against her baby-blue sleeveless high-neck Calvin Klein Collection dress. Silver may have been a better option, however, I do love the effortlessness of her look. Both her hair and makeup are perfection. A gold Delfina Delettrez Detaille Unique bracelet completed her look.

Take both clutches out of the equation and we have two perfect chic looks.

Solange Knowles NYFW

The usual suspects have been spotted front row at shows during New York Fashion Week but one girl has stood out, managing to look effortless and stylish as she hopped from show to show wearing fancy footwear, avoiding snow boots at all costs.

Noor by Noor: In her Pre-Fall 2014 outfit, the singer layered a blue printed sweater over a striped shirt, opting for a conservative black skirt, with standout Michael Kors ‘Sahar’ pumps and a chic white Kate Spade New York ‘Georgica Road Emmanuelle’ clutch rounding out her look.

Milly: I had to catch my breath when I saw this look. It might be too bold for some but I’m buying everything she’s selling here, from the electric-blue Milly coat and matching faux-fur-trimmed clutch to the orange separates and pink Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps that matched her lip colour. I think I even prefer this look over her Carven outfit.

Honor: Turning down the dial on colour, the singer wore an Honor look consisting of a sheer blouse, black collarless blazer and printed double-split skirt, styled with terracotta Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps and an M2Malletier ‘Amor Fati’ leather shoulder bag with a gold needle handle.
