Jena Malone In Wes Gordon - 'The Wait' Deauville American Film Festival Screening

Jena Malone attended the Deauville American Film Festival screening of ‘The Wait’ in Deauville, France yesterday evening.

The indie actress wore a Wes Gordon Spring 2013 black sleeveless metallic eyelash chiffon dress featuring a high round neck, a slight racer front and tonal sheer dotted tulle inserts at the sides.

Black Saint Laurent patent-leather pumps, wavy tresses and barely there makeup styled her look.

My first thought was “why is Jena carrying a clutch and a shoulder bag?” but it turns out that the shoulder bag was actually a camera.

Overall I can’t say I am a fan of the look; as sexy as the dress could’ve been, it’s let down by some pretty lacklustre styling.

Jena normally gets it right, but I’m hugely disappointed by this effort.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Miranda Kerr In Wes Gordon, Ruth Wilson In Balenciaga

Even with so many red carpet options this week, Miranda Kerr’s airport-chic Wes Gordon frock was your favourite this week. My pick was the sharp, sleek Balenciaga look presented to us by Ruth Wilson at the eleventh hour on Friday evening.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Zachery Levi in Reiss & Armie Hammer In Ermenegildo Zegna

Zachery Levi in Reiss has always been a winning combination, and you thought so too on this occasion.

I had more trouble selecting this week with so many great choices. In the end I had to go with Armie Hammer in Ermenegildo Zegna for the interesting mix-and-match element, not only colour-wise but also print-wise as the look featured chequers and stripes – not an easy combo to pull off.

Emily Blunt In Wes Gordon - Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures Preview Comic Con 2013

Among the crush of Comic-Con 2013‘s trending monochrome, Emily Blunt boldly stood out from the PYT pack at the Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures preview on Saturday at the San Diego Convention Center in California.

Punching up the proceedings, the actress brought a bolt of colour in her Wes Gordon navy-and-pink filigree-printed scuba sheath dress from the Fall 2013 collection.

Electric-fuchsia ‘Floria’ cutout suede sandals by Rupert Sanderson further intensified the chromatic spectrum, as did that light bubblegum lip.

With minimal accessories, the hot hues were the main attraction here, so I wish the curve-hugging frock hadn’t fallen quite so long on Emily’s frame.

Miranda Kerr In Wes Gordon - Narita International Airport

Miranda Kerr stepped off a plane at Narita International Airport in Japan earlier today, looking like she was on the runway at fashion week.

The Australian beauty, who is in town fulfilling her duties as the face of Samantha Thavasa, looked stunning wearing an orange-and-olive swan-print Wes Gordon Spring 2013 handkerchief hem dress with a corseted waist and plunging neckline.

A red pout, superstar shades, a royal-blue Samantha Thavasa ‘Azayle’ leather tote and a pair of Bionda Castana ‘Molly’ leopard print heels, which made my heart skip several beats, completed her look.

Airport chic at its very finest.

Model @ The 2013 Met Gala

Here is a roundup of the models who took to the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday night.

Cara Delevingne: Wearing Burberry, the British model nailed the theme, working a studded navy column dress with a plunging neckline. Her part-braided ‘do and studded clutch perfected her look. She was easily one of the best on the night.

Gisele Bundchen: The model wore an Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2013 black mini dress with revealing grommet detailing. You slammed Gwyneth for wearing a gown with sheer sides; does Gisele get a pass?

Karlie Kloss: I never thought I would say this about Karlie: she looks frumpy. Ever since she chopped off her locks she has lost her mojo. This Louis Vuitton granny-chic look ages her about 40 years. Betty White would look better in this frock.

Kerry Washington In Wes Gordon - 2013 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Ever the fashion girl, Kerry Washington turned heads once again at the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night in Washington, D.C.

After her recent Michael Kors eyebrow-raiser, the ‘Scandal’ star stunned in this monochromatic, sweeping halter gown from Wes Gordon’s Fall 2013 outing, paired with Vhemier jewels and a Jil Milan clutch.

I was actually a bit surprised that she picked a dress from this ‘scandalous’ collection for the White House Dinner, as the young designer was said to have been inspired to create looks for a “girl who’s having an affair with one of the Rolling Stones.”

But even with the backless silhouette and the exploded lace-print layered skirt, Kerry managed to tame down the runway exit into a more politically correct look, removing the leather arm gloves (and the edgy, rock-star styling).

The actress really elevates this look from runway grunge to red-carpet refinement.

After pulling back her bangs during her last few appearances, Kerry returned to the full-on fringe, perhaps in honour of the FLOTUS.

Katie Aselton In Wes Gordon - 2013 Independent Spirit Awards

Marching to the beat of her own drum, Katie Aselton didn’t opt for a summery hue, instead opting for a smouldering black and silver look for the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards on Santa Monica Beach in California this afternoon.

The actress wore a Wes Gordon dress.

Her shimmering Chantilly lace and silk tulle embroidered layered dress was styled with a sexy pair of Rupert Sanderson ‘Teoni’ sandals.

Taking her embellished high neckline into consideration, the actress swept her hair up into a high bun to complete her sultry look.

Do you like that Katie did something different, or do you think this look was out of tune for a 10.30 am red carpet event on the beach?
