Celebrities Love…Stuart Weitzman ‘LegWrap’ Sandals

Celebrities Love Stuart Weitzman 'LegWrap' Sandals

Urban warriors have a new seductive weapon to brandish on the red carpet, strapping their feet into the Stuart Weitzman ‘LegWrap’ sandal.

A fresh take on the gladiator trend, it’s a natural fit for the trendsetting starlet set who have added this come-hither shoe to their style arsenal.

More delicately elegant than the standard strappy pair with wraparound leather lace-up detailing that entwines the leg with a sense of demure allure, the sandal has been spotted on the likes of Emma Roberts, Elizabeth Banks, and Sophia Bush.

Available in a variety of colours, including versions of denim, nude, red, and yellow, the black hue is perhaps the most versatile and ubiquitous.

The secret of this shoe is in its transformative power, injecting a feminine, sexy-chic punch into everything from Emma’s minimal black frock to Elizabeth’s lacy LBD and Sophia’s flowy floral entrance.

Shoe of the Year 2014 – Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ Sandals

Shoe Of The Year 2014 – Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' Sandals

Nearly everyone had a ‘Nudist’ moment this year, putting their soles on full display in the Stuart Weitzman sandal that stomped red carpets across the globe.

An early frontrunner, it wasn’t long before we realized the power of the minimalist shoe and the love affair between starlets and their Stuarts, which played out over the entire year.

The sandal itself is so basic, but therein lies its magic.

Its versatility and its rainbow of colourways are all part of its charm. A stylist’s dream, it can be paired with everything from boyfriend jeans to ball gowns, although it was perhaps employed most liberally this year with daytime dresses and short cocktail frocks.

Yet, despite its popularity, the ‘Nudist’ sandal is rather modest indeed, letting the clothing take the lead while being the quietly perfect plus-one.

The heels had an embarrassment of outings, with Taylor Schilling, Sophia Bush, Elizabeth Banks and Judy Greer only a few of its fashionable fans.

The one requirement of this barely-there shoe? A good pedicure.

Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection

Stuart Weitzman has teamed up again with a select group of young Hollywood stars to raise money for ovarian cancer.

Brooklyn Decker, Julianne Hough, Nikki Reed, AnnaSophia Robb and Chloë Grace Moretz worked with Stuart to each co-design a footwear style, the proceeds of which will benefit Dr. Marsha A. Moses’ pioneering research into ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston, MA.

Brooklyn co-designed a multi-strap ankle boot with a gold metallic toe-cap which is very much on trend.

I can see Nikki wearing her black ankle-strap pump with a burgundy platform on the red carpet.

Chloe Moretz’ menswear-inspired lace-up two-tone navy-and-tan brogues would perfect with slim-fitted jeans.

A simple black pony-hair lady-like pump with burgundy piping was co-designed by AnnaSophia Robb.

Julianne Hough co-designed a sleek pair of high-heel Oxford pumps.

The Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection is available exclusively at stuartweitzman.com and Stuart Weitzman flagship boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills and Boston.

Which style is your favourite?

I love Nikki’s and Chloe’s. Both represent their styles perfectly.

The Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection

Back in July, Olivia Palermo gave a red carpet debut to her co-designed Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection sandals at The Smurfs World Premiere.

The other co-designers for this collection include Hayden Panettiere, Scarlett Johansson and Michelle Trachtenberg.

Stuart Weitzman teamed-up with these starlets to raise money for ovarian cancer.

The proceeds from the sales will benefit Dr. Marsha Moses’ pioneering research in ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston, MA.

Hayden Panettiere co-designed a black suede platform ankle boot with metal hardware accent.

Scarlett Johansson co-designed a red patent cut-out oxford platform with contrast burgundy laces.

Michelle Trachtenberg gave her pumps their red carpet debut at the InStyle Summer Soiree last week.

The denim crystal-snake calfskin platform pumps with a studded detailing down the back of heel were paired with a Tucker vest, black pants and a pink Rebecca Minkoff ‘Becky’ jacket.

The Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection will be available exclusively in late August at StuartWeitzman.com and Stuart Weitzman flagship boutiques.

Michelle Trachtenberg and Hayden Panettiere will be on hand to celebrate the unveiling of the Young Hollywood Cares collection during Fashion Night’s Out on Sept 8 at the Madison Avenue store in New York City.

Olivia Palermo Debuts The Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection @ “The Smurfs” World Premiere

Olivia Palermo is a real film buff, because she never misses a New York Premiere.

She attended “The Smurfs” World Premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater last night wearing an effortless summer ensemble.

The look included a beige sheer off-the-shoulder nude blouse with tie detailed sleeves with an ivory Elizabeth and James maxi flared skirt.

Her accessories were toned down once again, because on this occasion she only added a white thin belt and a tan clutch.

Maxi skirts are becoming a signature red carpet look for Olivia, but I wish she had opted for a shorter skirt on this occasion because she was wearing Stuart Weitzman sandals which she co-designed.

The navy satin ankle-wrap sandals embedded with fuchsia feathers is part of the “Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares Collection.”

All proceeds will benefit Dr. Marsha Moses’ pioneering research in ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston, MA.

The “Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares” collection will also feature other co-designs by Hollywood’s young trend-setters which we will no doubt see on the red carpet soon.
