Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Roland Mouret 1

Dear Readers,

Thank you so much for all your votes over the last few weeks which has created my look for the Oscars.

I am excited to finally reveal my Roland Mouret Couture gown which I’m going to wear to the Oscar parties this evening.

A huge thanks to Roland Mouret, who says I will return to London an engaged woman, for creating this gorgeous gown and allowing me to take this amazing journey.

My faux bob was created by Luis Santelices from Serge Normant at John Freida.

Matthew Militello at M.A.C. created my Sunset Starlet’ look.

Christian Louboutin ‘Au Hameau’ slingbacks, Annoushka jewels and a Kotur clutch completed the look.

I hope you guys like the look you created.

Love Catherine aka FC x

Hair & Makeup

Thank you for all your votes over the past few weeks.

The final pieces to the puzzle were the hair and makeup.

For the hair, you selected the wavy faux bob and for the makeup you preferred the ‘Sunset Starlet’ look.

Tomorrow I will be attending the InStyle Oscar Viewing Party and the Elton John party. Taking to the red carpet at the main event is unfortunately not going to happen, but the parties will be a fun place to watch the event and mingle with celebs.

I’m not allowed to report live from the events; so no tweeting or instagraming, sadly, but I will promise do a post on the everything afterwards.

Thanks again for all your support.

UPDATE: I will be allowed one picture from inside the InStyle party and plenty from the Elton John party so make sure you follow me on instagram and twitter for as many updates as my battery will allow.

Karolina Kurkova In Roland Mouret - The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Supermodel Karolina Kurkova flew in from Milan to be a guest on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ Thursday night.

There to promote her new gig as a model coach on ‘The Face’ on which she stars alongside Naomi Campbell and Coco Rocha, the model showed off her enviable figure in a dress from Roland Mouret Spring 2013.

The dress, which was previously worn on the red carpet by Samantha Barks, was a perfect study in color-blocking by mixing a fresh winter white with Pantone’s colour of the year, emerald. The halter neckline and high-waisted dress fit the model perfectly.

I’m thrilled Karolina ditched the belt shown on the runway and she expertly continued the two-toned theme from the hemline all the way down to her toes, as she paired the dress with black-and-white Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina’ pumps.

Oscars hair

Today I collected my Oscars gown from the Roland Mouret store in Carlos Place in Mayfair, so the fact that I will be attending the big event on Sunday has never felt more real.

The next stage is for you select my hairstyle.

Celebrity hair stylist Luis Santelices, from the Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, specializes in creating red carpet glamorous styles, and he will be creating the look you select for me.

As you know, Kerry Washington has been my constant inspiration during this journey, so you won’t be surprised to see many of her looks featured here.

Look 1 is a low ponytail.

Look 2 is a simple bun.

Look 3 is a wavy Veronica Lake–esque do and;

Look 4 is a wavy faux bob.

Jennifer Lawrence In Roland Mouret - Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood 2013

Jennifer Lawrence attended the Vanity Fair, Barneys New York and The Weinstein Company celebration of ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ in support of The Glenholme School in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday evening.

The actress wore a Roland Mouret Spring 2013 bi-colour black-and-white dress.

Her dress features the same asymmetrical neckline with folded details we saw on Jessica Chastain’s BAFTA gown, with Jennifer’s shorter version featuring a central slit.

The blonde beauty added some emerald drop earrings and black Giuseppe Zanotti ankle-strap sandals with a gold trim to her look.
