Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The co-stars of ‘Blue Is The Warmest Colour’, which won the Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or, Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, clearly have such great chemistry (as we witnessed during Cannes Film Festival) that I’m not surprised that Miu Miu has snapped up the pair for their Resort 2014 ad campaign.

While this is a first campaign for 19-year-old newcomer Adèle, Léa has starred in campaigns for Prada (Candy and Resort 2012), Levi and Rag & Bone.

Against a soft-pink background Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin capture their candid chemistry as they are casually reclined across each other on the floor wearing Miu Miu garb that is striking in colour, rich in embellishment and emboldened with prints.

This is a very successful campaign as I am buying everything they are selling, especially the accessories – metaphorically speaking.

Chloe Moretz In Miu Miu - 'Carrie' Tokyo Stage Greeting

Chloe Moretz attended the ‘Carrie’ stage greeting at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo, Japan earlier today.

The young actress wore a Miu Miu black and red polka-dot silk taffeta ¾ sleeve dress from the Fall 2013 collection featuring black twill trims and faux buttons lining the exposed zipper.

Some have expressed a dislike for Chloe’s more mature/aging red carpet looks of late, but I think this funky look has both chic and youthful appeal.

Do you agree?

Black platform sandals, a dark manicure and wavy tresses completed her look.

16th Annual Mark Twain Prize For American Humor

A trio of funny girls turned out for the 16th Annual Mark Twain Prize For American Humor held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. D.C. on Sunday.

Rashida Jones: The actress buttoned up in a Miu Miu floral-embroidered top paired with high-waisted black Celine sailor pants, a Chanel clutch and YSL shoes. A retro-look statement earring, along with a crimson lip and wavy ponytail, finished the straightforward ensemble with a fun flair.

Tina Fey: Lace was Tina’s trend of the day with her black Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress, which she wore with peep-toe slingback pumps and a black satin clutch—and a ponytail.

Amy Poehler: There wasn’t much to like or dislike about this basic black dress with a lightly embellished collar neckline. The clunky black heels didn’t do the frock any favours.

Lupita Nyong'o In Miu Miu - '12 Years A Slave' LA Premiere

Lupita Nyong’o was back on the red carpet yesterday evening for the LA premiere of ’12 Years A Slave’ held at the Directors Guild Of America in California.

You may remember that she was front row at Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 show during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, so it’s not a surprise to see her don a piece from the collection so quickly.
She selected a light-pink long-sleeved high-neck frock with a pleated skirt featuring a festive print of cockatoos set against deco shapes.

Thankfully shelving the black pumps for this outing, she selected a pair of Christian Louboutin red T-bar pumps with gold studded toecaps, with the rest of her accessories including a dark-red Judith Leiber clutch and Kwiat jewels.

I love everything about this look, especially the makeup, which picks up the purple and pink hues from her dress.

Samantha Barks In Miu Miu - Classic BRIT Awards 2013

Samantha Barks attended the Classic BRIT Awards 2013 held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday, where she played a key role in the evening’s proceedings, presenting the award for International Artist of the Year and taking to the stage with English tenor, Alfie Boe.

The British actress wore a strapless Miu Miu lace bustier dress with a fold-over neckline and leather waistband which she styled with gold metallic Prada sandals.

The rest of her styling included copper eye shadow, barely noticeable lip-gloss and a messy, windswept updo.
