Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Christina Hendricks joined young Elle Fanning on the red carpet for the ‘Ginger And Rosa’ special screening during AFI Fest 2012 at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, yesterday evening.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a L’Wren Scott black sequin dress with a scoop neckline.

Her splendid shimmering cap-sleeve frock from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection was styled with black open-toe Jimmy Choo ‘Clue’ shoes and an embellished floral headpiece.

A gorgeous fuchsia-pink lip colour and simple side-swept bun completed her look.

Nicole Kidman turned more than a few heads at Derby Day held at the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia, on Saturday afternoon as she channelled Audrey Hepburn.

The actress, who I was delighted to see having fun with fashion, wore a white lace L’Wren Scott dress with black-and-white striped ribbon and bow detail which evoked Eliza Doolittle’s Royal Ascot debut in the classic 1964 movie ‘My Fair Lady’ starring Hepburn.

Nicole’s L’Wren Scott dress, which was made to The Green Carpet Challenge’s specifications and strictly adhered to the traditional Derby Day colour code of black-and-white, was styled with a broad-brimmed hat designed by milliner Stephen Jones to completed the reinterpretation of the classic look.

A black-and-white L’Wren Scott bag and black L’Wren Scott slingbacks completed her look.

Are you delighted to see Nicole having fun with fashion, or do you find this look to be too costumey?

Christina Hendricks joined her ‘Mad Men’ co-star January Jones on the red carpet for the 41st Annual Peace Over Violence Humanitarian Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA on Friday evening.

She showcased her fabulous curves wearing a L’Wren Scott dress.

We have found Christina frustratingly inconsistent on the red carpet at times, but the green crepe dress with a modest v-neck, belted waist and slight flare in the skirt is very flattering.

Gold metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Cosmic’ pumps, dangling earrings and a black-and-gold Jimmy Choo ‘Lina’ clutch accessorized her look.

Do you see this look as an improvement, or more of the same?

L’Wren Scott was honoured with the Fashion Group International Lord & Taylor Fashion Oracle Award at the Night of Stars gala, held yesterday evening at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

She was presented with the award by one of her four devotees, Sarah Jessica Parker (Nicole Kidman, Ellen Barkin and Penelope Cruz are the other three).

Both wore L’Wren Scott, but I’m instantly captivated by SJP’s Spring 2013 look, mostly because of the colourful stripes.

The actress opted not to wear a belt with her look, styling it with black glitter Manolo Blahnik pumps and Fred Leighton jewels.

Wavy ombre locks swept over one shoulder completed her look.

Penelope Cruz also kept herself in the background while supporting her husband Javier Bardem who took to the red carpet last night for the ‘Skyfall’ Royal premiere.

They were spotted hand in hand at the official after-party held at the Tate Modern in London, where Penelope dazzled in a gown by her favourite designer, L’Wren Scott.

Her form-fitting gold-sequined and caviar-beaded Fall 2012 cap-sleeve gown was styled with gold Nicholas Kirkwood sandals and an Emilio Pucci clutch.

A simple ponytail completed her look.

Looking at both Rachel Weisz and Penelope, it was a good thing they didn’t take to the red carpet, as they would’ve totally upstaged the main stars.

Pen is breathtaking here.

Nicole Kidman donned head-to-toe red at a tribute gala held in her honour during the 2012 New York Film Festival on Wednesday evening in New York City.

The actress wore a dress by her favourite designer/stylist L’Wren Scott.

Her red fitted dress with fire-red sequin embroidered details had a sexy keyhole opening.

L’Wren Scott ‘Lady’ lattice shoes and Fred Leighton jewels accessorized her look.

Normally quite coy on the red carpet, this striking dress really appeared to bring her out of her shell.

Wavy tresses and a hot-red lip colour completed her look.
