Thankfully it appears that Freida Pinto only had one bad night at the Golden Globes, because the Girl Of The Moment, was back to her best last night.

The gorgeous actress walked the red carpet with her co-star Dev Patel at the 34th Annual LA Film Critics Association Awards, wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2008 Couture chain-mail dress.

How this new kid on the block is getting couture for her first red carpet season, is nothing short of outstanding.

Her black belted cocktail dress has a melon coloured cowl neck both at the front and back.

This dress more than makes up for her Christian Lacroix Globe dress. So it looks like she’s not just a one-hit wonder after all.

The pint-sized popstar that is Kylie Minogue performed on stage for the first time in the Middle East at the landmark Grand Opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort and the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai last night.

The star performed a 45 minute set, for which she was reportedly paid an astonishing £1.5million.

For that kind of money it is not wonder that she could afford to splash out on a custom Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2008 Couture ensemble.

As you can see the jodhpurs Kylie is wearing have a sequined detail, whereas the runway version have a suede detail.

Her gold shimmering blouse, also has the added detail of a lace collar and sparkly bow.

The singer later changed into an even more sparkly number of a pink sequined shirt, sequin embellished waistcoat, sequined bow-tie and black sequin pants.

Balenciaga’s Spring 2009 collection had a very futuristic feel to it, like the pieces belong in a sci-fi movie.

The colour palette started of with very neutral colours, then there was a delightful array of colours with metallics, sequins and foil-like boxy jackets.

The opening pieces all had love hearts, which you may remember were featured heavily in Versace’s Spring 2009 collection.

The most interesting features were gloves that were sewn into jackets, and tights which were pulled over the shoes.

Also on display were tunic tops, slim pant, flared pants and the designer’s signature pants, which had asymmetric belts in pastel colors.

Actress Salma Hayek wearing a black Balenciaga dress, fueled reports she is back with her ex-fiance Franciois-Heri Pinault by being papped together at this show.

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2009 collection was a very eclectic mix of swimming costumes with built-in capes, skirts tied at the waist, worn with little tank tops, and fluid gowns, some with cinched waists.

The colours ranged from black to vibrant yellows.

Dita von Teese wore had worn pretty pastel yesterday at Dior, return to darker colours in this grey Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2008 couture suit, which she wore with a sheer blouse.

Not sure if it is the light or her make-up, but she also looks a lot paler than she did yesterday.

Beyonce and Justin Timberlake performed Marvin Gaye’s “Aint Nothing Like the Real Thing” at last nights Fashion Rocks Event in New York.

JT was headed to toe in black, whereas Beyonce was golden, wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2008 Couture gold sequined deep plunging jumpsuit, with paillettes embellishments on the sleeves and the foot of the pants.

Great stage look for Beyonce.

For her second performance, Beyonce wore a mustard Zuhair Murad Spring 2008 Couture cocktail belted dress with beaded embellishments on the bodice.

She wore her dress with matching shoes, and a rather odd wig, but I am sure it worked well with her performance.

I saw The Dark Knight yesterday, and it was better than I expected, and I am more of a romantic comedy kinda gal.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, and the rest of the cast were in Toyko today to promote The Dark Knight, not that it needs promoting, considering it took $300 million since it’s opening.

When I first saw this orange lace dress on Maggie Gyllenhaal, I instantly thought it was from the Prada’s Fall 2008 collection, because many of Miuccia Prada’s pieces were made out of lace. But it is not Prada, but in fact Jean Paul Gauliter Fall 2008 Couture.

For those of you who ever wondered why I hate lace so much, this is why. Lace is actually very hard to pull off, because like Maggie here, you can end up looking very exposed.

The orange bra and the nude slip underneath really ruin this look for Maggie. But I guess she veto’ed the orange tights look that appeared on the runway, which may have worked better for her.

Shame, because Maggie has been doing so well this promotion tour.

Elie Saab’s Fall 2008 Couture collection was presented this week. Elie is a favourite with A-listers such as Beyonce Knowles and Kerry Washington to Middle Eastern princesses. There were a few sparkles on a few pieces, but not as much bling as Beyonce would have hoped for.

The Lebanese designer created a couture collection full of wonderfully breath-taking gowns.

The colour palette was for his collection were browns, reds, blue, and pinks.

All of the model sported classy chignons as they walked the runway in silk, taffeta, tulle and chiffon gowns.

He emphasised waists with giant bows, shoulders were detailed with ruffles, and there were many floor-sweeping trains to add something extra special for those red carpet moments.

Somali-born model Yasmin Warsame wore some of the best gowns from this collection (especially the middle one).

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fall 2008 Couture collection started with some very muted pieces of grey, brown and black. Then the ensembles became more and more dramatic, and more colourful with cobalt blue, neon yellow, orange and green.

The dramatic pieces had a lot of construction in form of cages. Models walked the runway in caged capes, caged dresses and even a caged veil at the end.

The theme was a mix of equestrian and marine life.

Ever since Nicole Scherzinger first wore this colour-block dress to the American Music Awards, I have been dying to know who designed it.

Then Kelly wore the same dress to the Brit Awards last month and I still could not find out.

I finally now know that the dress was designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for his Spring 2008 collection.
