Erdem Fall 2012

Yesterday I attended my first-ever Erdem show, and the experience was just as magical as I had imagined, with power editors Franca Sozzani and Anna Wintour seated directly in front of me.

Erdem’s celebrity fans and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge will be delighted to see that the designers served up ladylike dresses with signature floral prints and plenty of lace.

The florals were more graphic and therefore more vibrant than ever, which will make them stand out more on the red carpet.

Amongst the floral and lace were fit-for-a-Princess tweed pieces and splatter prints.

Laser-cut leather appliqué gave an edge to the pretty pieces and Erickson Beamon for Swaroski Elements added that extra sparkle.

Whilst there was only one gown, there were still many red-carpet options within this collection.

Marc Trinder at Charles Worthington created the models’ super-chic centre-parted buns whilst Andrew Gallimore used MAC cosmetics to apply the wing tips.

Models walked the runway with a collection of Nicholas Kirkwood for Erdem pumps and ankle boots in prints from the runway looks.

Nicholas Kirkwood is one of the designers who will be part of this year’s British Designers Collective at Bicester Village.

Front Row: Alexa Chung, Anna Wintour and Franca Sozzani

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Felicity Jones, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen, Leighton Meester, Alexa Chung, Andrea Riseborough, Florence Welch, Kate Bosworth, Anne Hathaway, Tilda Swinton and Carey Mulligan

Florence Welch also attended the 2012 Style Awards held in London this evening.

The singer wore a fitted Erdem Spring 2012 dress with three-quarter-length sleeves and a shirt-like collar in a muted blue floral print.

The dress was paired with matching ankle-strap heels by Nicholas Kirkwood.

This fitted look for the singer is a refreshing change as we’re used to seeing her mostly in flowing garments.

The granny-chic print is very Florence and very appropriate for the UK event.

Shiny red locks and collections of rings complete the look.

Many of you have been struggling to get excited about Michelle Williams’ style, citing lack of sexy appeal as your reason.

Amber Heard pretty much has that section of the red carpet covered, so I was personally happy to see Michelle give us a romantic spring florals as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre this week in New York City for a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show With David Letterman’.

This is the third time the ‘My Week With Marilyn’ actress has worn an Erdem dress. On this occasion she donned look from the Spring 2012 collection.

Her yellow, green and blue printed shift dress was teamed with Giuseppe Zanotti grey suede peep-toes.

I love the red lipstick.

After the show, the Oscar nominee wore a Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2011 black double-breasted coat with a contrasting shearling collar coat.

The gorgeous Diane Kruger outshined everyone else who stepped foot on the red carpet this week to be crown BDOTW.

She was mesmerizing wearing a silver lace Erdem Spring 2012 dress with a tastefully sexy, asymmetrical strapless underlay to the Sidaction Gala dinner in Paris this week.

It was a risk, but judging by her lead in the votes, you think it paid off.

A gunmetal grey clutch, floral earrings to complemented the print on her dress plus super straight locks and flawless makeup completed her look.

Diane Kruger looked sensational on the red carpet for the Sidaction Gala dinner which took place in Paris, France yesterday evening.

She blew me away wearing an Erdem ‘Pandora’ dress from the Spring 2012 collection.

Her silver lace full-length dress with an asymmetrical underlay is my favourite look from Diane this year.

When some of you say that you don’t get the fuss surrounding her I’m a truly baffled as for me she’s consistent and never boring.

What’s even more commendable is that she is doing it all by herself sans stylist.

Silver accessories and flawless makeup completed her BDOTW worthy look.

Jessica Alba was spotted heading to a taping of ‘Live with Kelly’ in New York City on Wednesday.

I was delighted to see a mix of bold colours as Jessica donned an ombre teal-green Doo.Ri Pre-Fall 2012 coat over an orange Acne ‘Lia’ cashmere sweater.

The colour burst didn’t stop there as she added a beautiful pair of Erdem floral-print pants, Barbara Bui green nubuck ‘Biker’ sandals and an emerald-green Jack Vartanian ring.

I am obsessed with this bold and bright head-to-toe look. I would wear it in a heartbeat.

It’s not often we see Jessica have so much fun with colour.

Do you love this as much as I do?
