Maria Jose Suarez In Emilio Pucci - Emporio Armani Madrid Boutique Opening

Maria Jose Suarez attended the opening of a new Emporio Armani store in Madrid, Spain yesterday evening.

The Spanish beauty opted to wear a sexy Emilio Pucci frock from the Resort 2013 collection to liven up the black carpet.

Her raspberry keyhole dress with flamenco-style ruffles on the open sleeves was styled with Yanes jewels, a gold Escada clutch and the Jimmy Choo ‘Malika’ perforated booties we’ve seen on Diane Kruger in silver-and-gold and Alex Curran in black.

The yellow version really pops against the black background.

Effortless, loose waves and glossy lips completed her spirited look.

I’m glad she didn’t add the belt as featured on the model, as she didn’t need it.

Olga Kurylenko In Emilio Pucci - ‘Oblivion’ Rio de Janeiro Premiere

Your reaction to Olga Kurylenko’s look at the Buenos Aires ‘Oblivion’ world premiere was lukewarm to say the least, so she’ll be glad she had a second chance to impress.

She took to the red carpet once again for the Rio de Janeiro premiere, held at the Cine Odeon Petrobras in Brazil yesterday evening, wearing an Emilio Pucci gown.

The white embroidered gown with feather detailing on the skirt didn’t take to the runway, but the style is distinctive of the Spring 2013 collection.

Keeping the makeup simple to work with the ethereal nature of her heavenly feathered confection was the right decision, as was opting for minimal jewels and a simple silver clutch.

You also didn’t like Olga’s hair last time out, so on this occasion she opted for soft waves.

Much improved, or are you still wanting more from Olga?

Selena Gomez In Emilio Pucci - Late Show with David Letterman

Your best dressed of the week, Selena Gomez, was back out promoting her latest movie, ‘Spring Breakers’, on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ last night.

Dressed in black, the actress wore an Emilio Pucci Fall 2013 black dress featuring sheer polka, sequin and lace panels.

To add a touch of sophistication to the look, she donned a Dolce & Gabbana black blazer with an animal-print lining which was longer than her dress.

Black Brian Atwood ‘Nico’ pumps and layered gold Melinda Maria rings gave her look an edge, as did her high ponytail.

While some of you are still on the fence with her transitional look, I have to say this is yet another home run for me. As always, it feels natural and not as forced and hurried as most teen stars when they make that leap from child star to adult star.

Fotogramas Awards 2013

Here are some more great looks from Monday night’s Fotogramas Awards 2013, held at the Joy Eslava Club in Madrid, Spain. I was surprised by the amount of re-runs.

Celia Freijeiro: The actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2010 silver lurex wrap dress with a lace trim, which we first saw on the gorgeous Charlize Theron back in November, 2009. She styled the look with Jimmy Choo ‘Dream’ elaphe sandals from the Spring 2013 collection with multi-coloured tassels, and a purple sequinned clutch. The accessories and her bold lip colour bring down the look.

Dafne Fernandez: Second only to Nieves Alvarez when it comes to my favourite Spanish stars, the actress wore a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 black-and-white-striped dress which we’ve seen on Nicole Richie. Dafne’s styling of her look was more favourable than Celia’s as Dafne opted for sleek black sandals, a matching clutch, gold hooped earrings and a red pout.

Nerea Garmendia: The next re-run came courtesy of this Michael Kors optic-white top with silver embroidery, optic-white shorts and a silver belt from the Spring 2013 collection, which we saw with gold embroidery on Nina Dobrev. Chartreuse Jimmy Choo bow-accented pumps, a silver Jimmy Choo clutch and Yanes jewels accessorized the look. The shoes upstaged the rest of the look don’t you think?

Blanca Suarez: The final re-run was an Emilio Pucci Spring 2013 dress, which we have seen on Kate Bosworth. Unlike Kate, Blanca opted for colour, adding hot-pink shoes, gold accessories, plus red nails and red lips.

Who wins: Hollywood or Madrid?

Rita Ora In Emilio Pucci - Etam Live Lingerie Show

Rita Ora performed during the ‘Etam Live Lingerie show’ 2013 at Bourse du Commerce in Paris, France yesterday evening.

The British singer wore yet another Emilio Pucci frock.

Her red lace dress with slash sleeves was styled with those Jimmy Choo ‘Mogul’ lace-up boots we have seen her wear once before.

As a performance piece for a lingerie event, this sexy look works.

A braided updo and signature red lip provided the finishing touches.

You can buy Rita’s Jimmy Choo heels from Luisa via Roma US and Luisa via Roma UK.

Naomi Watts In Emilio Pucci - 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Naomi Watts sparkled all night on Sunday, wearing her second beaded look at the 2013 Vanity Fair party held at Sunset Tower in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore an Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2013 one-sleeve asymmetrical dress with black-and-gold panels, which she styled with a Chloe ‘Bella’ clutch from the Spring 2013 collection, and a silver cuff which didn’t work for me.

She has had an amazing awards season, despite not picking up any major honours.

Did she go out on a high, or did you not love this 70s-disco-inspired look?
