Kat Dennings In David Meister - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Kat Dennings arrived at the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards in rather dramatic fashion—as she should. After all, she’s co-hosting the show tonight (January 8), alongside Beth Behrs at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

Before embarking on what surely will be a slew of costume changes, the ‘Two Broke Girls’ star kicked off the evening in a black David Meister strapless ball gown, moodily sprinkled with the stencil of large red roses.

In keeping with the romantic, theatrical theme of the dress, she wore a dark berry lip stain and styled her dark brunette locks into loose curls, which were topped with a glittering headband.

She skipped the necklace, yet showed off a pile of statement bracelets and a ring.

The one accessory for which she probably had not planned were the gauze bandages that decorated her right hand—she suffered a bit of an accident with a knife over the weekend—although she strategically kept that hand rather hidden in the folds of her skirt.

Octavia Spencer In David Meister - New York Film Critics Circle Awards

Octavia Spencer joined Cate Blanchett on the red carpet for the 2013 New York Film Critics Circle Awards Ceremony held at The Edison Ballroom on Monday (January 6) in New York City.

Ever since her 2012 awards season run the actress has pretty much exclusively worn Tadashi Shoji, but on this occasion she wore a David Meister dress.

The actress wore a black jersey dolman-sleeve faux-wrap dress with a pretty beaded accent at the waist, which she styled with black open-toe shoes.

Even as someone who loves colour, I love this look. Simple, flattering, well styled and event appropriate. What more can you ask for?

Governors Awards 2013 Red Carpet Roundup

Joining Lupita Nyong’o and Angelina Jolie on the red carpet, these stars also brought their own brand of glamour to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards, held at the Grand Ballroom of the Hollywood and Highland Center in LA on Saturday evening.

Jennifer Garner: The actress chose a black, multi-strap Dolce & Gabbana frock, which she styled with Neil Lane jewels, a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, and black Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps. Natural makeup and swept-back hair complemented her more casual approach to cocktail dressing.

Octavia Spencer: In true Octavia fashion, the star wore her beloved Tadashi Shoji, selecting a red satin dress detailed with black lace at the shoulders and neckline and a sweet black bow belt at the waist. She accessorized with a medley of simple black accessories — a wrap, Rauwolf clutch, and heels, to be exact — and partnered the look with soft waves.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus: The ‘Veep’ star stepped out in a sleeveless, floor-length David Meister gown with a subtle front slit and metallic-covered keyhole. Sleek black Casadei sandals, a black Roger Vivier clutch, and shiny, straight locks completed the look.

Daisy Fuentes In David Meister - 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards

Daisy Fuentes was one of the many sexy starlets who attended the 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards held at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California on Friday.

She looked divine wearing a goddess-green David Meister crepe gown with a plunging neckline and satin-trimmed bodice which was radiant against her caramel skin.

An emerald-green satin clutch and John Hardy gold statement jewels completed her look.

Teen Choice Awards 1

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

Anna Camp: The blonde beauty wore an Emilio Pucci powder-blue sequinned long-sleeved dress with lace and point d’esprit inserts and an open back, which she styled with silver Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps, vintage jewels, a Kotur clutch and a chic topknot. You may remember that Selena Gomez wore this in black back in March on Letterman.

Brittany Snow: Also working a lace frock, Brittany wore an Oliver Tolentino green floral lace dress with a nude underlay styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Vamp’ sandals, a coral Oroton clutch – which looks very heavy – and a matching lip colour, with a braided updo completing her look.

Joey King: The ‘White House Down’ actress opted for a pretty lime-green Moschino strapless printed dress with embellishments, styled with gold sandals and a subtle pendant necklace.

15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards

Here are the rest of the looks from the 15th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday evening.

Amy Poehler: The comedian showed off the sophisticated side of her style wearing a black satin Prada dress. The cape-like sleeves gave this curve-hugging number a fresh take while matching black satin heels kept the glam factor going. My favorite part of the entire look? Her Ippolita emerald-green drop earrings that gave this all black ensemble a major boost of colour.

Kristen Wiig: On the other side of the colour-spectrum, Poehler’s former colleague and fellow comedian, Kristen Wiig opted for an all white relaxed shift dress. Taupe suede Christian Louboutin ‘Miyousra’ pumps and a tan clutch with a bright coral stripe accessorized the look by adding depth and a bit of colour.

Maya Rudolph: I can’t say this is my favourite look this awards season, but there are rumours that the comedian is expecting again, so this forest-green one-shoulder printed caftan might serve as a cover up.

Famke Janssen: The’Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’ star wore a strapless body-hugging plum David Meister gown. While this simple gown felt safe especially on someone like Famke, who has the body to show off all sorts of cuts and styles, the end result was beautiful and elegant. The tone played out Famke’s gorgeous locks which had an Old Hollywood glamour appeal, while the form of the dress highlighted her statuesque form.
