Red Carpet Fashion Awards

While Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotillard were strutting their stuff on the red carpet in London for the premiere for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ yesterday evening, Nerea Garmendia was doing the same in Madrid, Spain.

The brunette actress opted for a casual look wearing a Burberry Prorsum owl-motif tee from the Fall 2012 collection, with a Frankie Morello Fall 2012 mini skirt.
I find this look a tad confusing.

The cutesy tee and the edgy studded skirt don’t work together for me. A simple black tee would’ve worked so better. I also think the skirt is sitting too high on the waist.

I’m shocked to say that this is the first time I haven’t liked a pair of shoes worn by a Spanish actress.

Even though she’s wearing a mini skirt, the Christian Louboutin ankle boots are making her legs look stumpy.

The pieces are great individually, but they don’t excite as they are presented here.

Serena Williams was all smiles on the purple carpet at the 2012 Wimbledon Champions Dinner held at the Intercontinental Hotel in London on Sunday evening after winning the women’s title the previous day.

Once again she wore a dress by one of her favoured brands, Burberry.

They have created some custom looks in the past but I really don’t like this look.

Something tells me that this sateen mustard dress with long sheer sleeves would’ve been better off as a simple strapless dress.

Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ spike pumps, gold jewels and a black-and-gold Burberry box clutch accessorized her look.

Medium curly locks and glossy pink lips provided the finishing touches.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone attended the ‘Be Amazing’ Stand Up Volunteer Initiative at Madison Boys And Girls Club in the Brooklyn borough of New York City on Tuesday afternoon.

Both stars kept their look super casual.

Andrew wore a grey hoodie with jeans, whereas Emma was a bit more polished.

She wore a Burberry Prorsum dog-print t-shirt from the Fall 2012 collection which she teamed with a navy Preen Line blazer and Rag & Bone skinny jeans.

Two-tone Chanel flats, a Jennifer Meyer necklace, Dana Rebecca Designs jewels and a pretty pink lip colour provided the finishing touches.

For the Seoul press conference of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, Emma Stone wore a Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012 blue-and-olive striped top with an aqua beaded neckline which she paired with a black pencil skirt with a cascading ruffle.

Contrasting red Brian Atwood pumps added a delightful pop of colour to this look.

Italian TV presenter Giorgia Surina wore the same top when she attended the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2013 menswear presentation during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday.

Her styling was totally different, opting for a mocha peplum velvet skirt with Burberry Prorsum accessories including a tan clutch with a mustard bow accent and patent sandals.

Even though I’m not that crazy about the clutch, Giorgia wins for me.

I prefer her skirt and sandals. Emma’s skirt feels much heavier in comparison.

Fashion and tennis collided at the WTA Pre-Wimbledon Party, held at The Roof Gardens in Kensington, London last night.

We have already seen Maria Sharapova. Here are the rest of the attendees who took to the green carpet.

Serena Williams: The tennis ace was once again dressed by Burberry for this annual event. Her purple taffeta frock with black sheer straps was styled with black t-bar sandals and a selection of silver jewels. The thing I love most about her look are her voluminous curls.

Ana Ivanovic: The young star wore a pretty Matthew Williamson feather-accented frock which complemented her statuesque frame. The stunning lace dress also features a cluster of gold paillettes and beaded details. It may seem like quite a lot of detail, but she carries it off with great aplomb. She accessorized with Christian Louboutin matching heels with a gold toe-cap and a mahogany clutch.
Whilst I love the elegant updo, I wish she applied fake tan to her feet. I guess that is what happens when training in sunny conditions wearing thick tennis socks.

Anne Keothavong: The British number one ranked player wore a baroque-inspired Alexander McQueen ‘Fil’ coupé jacquard green-and-black dress. She styled her look with tights (it’s been a while since I saw tights on the red carpet), black pumps (the same can’t be said for those) and a sweeping ponytail.
