Heidi Klum In Atelier Versace - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Heidi Klum attended the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France this evening (May 22).

As expected she wore Atelier Versace, selecting an ice-blue embellished frock from the Spring 2014 collection.

Just when I thought she had turned a corner, she went and broke one of the cardinal rules – legs or boobs – opting to put both on display.

While she looked beautiful, I would’ve preferred this look without the keyhole detail.

She wore silver sandals, along with a lot less jewellery than we are used to seeing on her.

Jane Fonda In Atelier Versace - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala 2

Jane Fonda continued to grace the red carpet with her beauty, attending the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France this evening (May 22).

Someone be a dear and forward this to Alessandra Ambrosio and Irina Shayk, because this is how you wear Atelier Versace.

The actress looked stunning wearing a custom look inspired by the Spring 2014 collection.

Fitted with a corset intricately woven with Swarovski crystal beading, she styled the look with Chopard jewels, Jimmy Choo shoes and a Versace clutch.

If I were to nit-pick I would removed the arm detailing, but she looked gorgeous nonetheless.

Irina Shayk In Atelier Versace - ‘The Search’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Irina Shayk attended ‘The Search’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 21) in Cannes, France.

Atelier Versace creates some stunning gowns worthy of this occasion (just see Hilary Swank and Jessica Chastain for reference); however, when I look at this should’ve-been-loaned-to-Rihanna-for-the-Grammys gown worn by Irina, the words “a-time-and-a-place” spring to mind.

I just don’t find this kinda look glamorous for a Cannes red carpet, nor do I like that stark colour.

Save it for an after-party – or even amfAR, where a more daring choice is expected.

Once again it’s a no from me. I think I’m becoming a Cannes gown snob.

Salvatore Ferragamo champagne coloured sandals completed her look.

Alessandra Ambrosio In Atelier Versace - 'Two Days, One Night' ('Deux Jours, Une Nuit') Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Following the Chopard party, Alessandra Ambrosio was back on the red carpet for the ‘Two Days, One Night’ (Deux Jours, Une Nuit) premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 20) in Cannes, France.

On this occasion she wore an Atelier Versace Spring 2014 beaded white one-sleeve embroidered with Swarovski crystals gown with fringe detailing on the shoulder and bodice, plus a draped back.

This feels like something Heidi Klum would wear; and that’s not a compliment. If this was strapless and I couldn’t see her underwear I may have forced myself to get on board with this look.

Sadly, it’s a hell no from me.

Hilary Swank In Atelier Versace - 'The Homesman' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Hilary Swank attended ‘The Homesman’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 18) in Cannes, France.

Donatella is on quite a roll, as this was the second stunning Atelier Versace creation to hit the red carpet in as many days.

The fitted silouette is one we are familiar with seeing on Hilary; if I was her, I would want to show off that body too.

Cut with an asymmetrical neckline with a lightly pleated criss-cross bodice, the gown also features a draped back.

Dazzling with sapphire Chopard jewels, Hilary completed her look with silver Jimmy Choo ‘Kallai’ sandals and a silver Jimmy Choo ‘Cameo’ clutch, with sleek, side-swept tresses providing the finishing touches.

The only thing preventing this from being a BDOTY contender are those creases on the skirt.

Jessica Chastain In Atelier Versace - 'The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Jessica Chastain attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere for ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby’ this evening (May 17).

The actress wore a stunning Atelier Versace gown; what’s more, the colour was electric blue: my favourite.

Regular readers will not be surprised to hear that this ensemble left me completely breathless.

The bold colour was a great choice to stand out on the red carpet for a busy evening premiere, but also a great colour for Jessica’s skin tone.

Cut with an asymmetrical neckline and draped to perfection, this look is a non-negotiable on my BDOTY list.

She has never looked more radiant, and that is quite a feat considering she’s had many great moments.

Of course there was no clutch, just stunning jewels, matching Roger Vivier heels, perfect coiffed tresses à la Veronica Lake, and a beautiful red lip to match her polish.

Repeat after me: ‘We are not worthy’.
