Kristin Scott Thomas In Armani Privé – ‘Only God Forgives’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Kristin Scott Thomas In Armani Privé - 'Only God Forgives' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Electric-blue and embellishments??? Is Kristin Scott Thomas trying to give me a heart attack?

The British/French actress combined my two loves this evening on the red carpet for the ‘Only God Forgives’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival.

She took my breath away wearing an Armani long-sleeve gown with a plunging neckline and nipped in waist, which is high on shine and glamour. I’m not usually so enamoured with Kristin’s red carpet looks as they tend to stick to a colour palette of mostly black, but this made me sit up and pay attention.

Emerald jewels seem to be favoured by a lot of celebs this festival season; Kristin’s Chopard earrings and ring shone almost as brightly as her embellished gown.

Does anyone share my obsession with this look?

She carried a Swarovski clutch.

Alyson Le Borges In Armani Privé – ‘Blood Ties’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Allison Williams In Armani Privé - 'Blood Ties' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The model, who Getty had tagged as Allison Williams, was actually Alyson Le Borges.

Alyson not only bares an slight resemblance to the ‘Girls’ actress, but she also shares the same name. Albeit with a different spelling. I’m guessing this is where part of the confusion began.

Gliding down the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals in France this evening for the ‘Blood Ties’ Cannes Film Festival premiere the model wore a Armani Privé Spring 2013 Couture gown.

Her red strapless gown with its signature accent, which looks like a firecracker, was styled with bi-colour red-and-black Sergio Rossi ‘Flashy’ sandals and a diamond bracelet.

With the responsibility to show off that gorgeous diamond necklace, she opted for sweeping updo.

Amy Kwok In Armani Privé – 2013 Hong Kong Awards

Amy Kwok In Armani Privé - 2013 Hong Kong Awards

Amy Kwok and Lau Ching-Wan also took to the red carpet on Saturday for the 2013 Hong Kong Film Awards.

The actress stunned wearing an Armani Prive Spring 2008 gown, modified from the one-shoulder version which took to the runway.

Her blush-coloured gown with delicate asymmetrical ruffled tiers may be giving you a case of déjà vu.

That’s because Cate Blanchett wore a similar gown to the 2008 Cannes Film Festival ‘Blindness’ premiere just one month after giving birth to her third son, Ignatius Martin.

Unlike Cate, Amy opted for silver accessories, including a Bottega Veneta clutch, Jimmy Choo peep-toes, a diamond necklace and drop earrings.

The clutch needed to be way smaller or non-existent, but she totally does justice to this elegant gown.

Jessica Chastain In Armani Privé – 2013 Oscars

As one of the first stars on the 2013 Oscars red carpet, Jessica Chastain stunningly kick-started this evening at the Hollywood & Highland Center’s Dolby Theatre in California.

After her electric appearance in a cobalt blue Roland Mouret dress at the BAFTA Awards and a red Alexander McQueen design at the SAG Awards, the ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ nominee explored the other side of the colour spectrum today.

She wore a nude Armani Privé custom gown that screamed movie star.

This look unapologetically oozed old Hollywood glamour, especially with Jessica’s soft side-swept waves and her saturated ruby lip.

Normally with her fair skin tone and flame-red hair, this flesh-coloured, monotone palette could be problematic. But the subtle, sequin shimmer of the gown mixed with the bold lippie and the sparkle from Harry Winston diamond earrings and a ’60s-era Harry Winston bracelet pull it all together.

I’m glad she didn’t wear a necklace, though, as that would have cluttered the sweetheart neckline of this simply elegant gown.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé & Eddie Redmayne In Tom Ford

Best Dressed Of The Week - Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé & Eddie Redmayne In Tom Ford

Even though Miss Nina Dobrev gave her a good fight, Queen Cate Blanchett won the majority of your votes for Best Dressed this week.

Cate and Armani Privé has always been a winning combination, and her red dress, which she wore to the AACTA Awards, was no different.

When it came to the menswear poll, that was equally predictable as the no one was able to outdo Eddie Redmayne in his chambray Tom Ford suit.

Until Ryan Gosling and Andrew Garfield come back to the red carpet, methinks Eddie will continue to dominate this poll with his snazzy style and ability to pick a suit outside of the black, grey and navy colour palette favoured by most.

Stacy Keibler was George Clooney’s gorgeous plus-one at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

The statuesque blonde beauty wore a black Armani Privé Fall 2013 velvet column gown featuring silver piping in horizontal stripes, accentuating the column silhouette, ending in a cascading train.

While chatting with Ryan Seacrest, Stacy shared that the dress was “fresh off a plane from Paris.”

Sleek, center-parted hair and Forevermark diamonds completed the look.
