Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé - Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Cate Blanchett attended the opening ceremony of the 2013 Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France this evening.

The Australian actress glided down the red carpet wearing a nude Armani Privé Fall 2013 lightly embellished lace coat-dress, which has been slightly modified from the runway as the silk skirt is shorter than the coat.

Her soft, elegant look is in total contrast to the edgy fashion forward Christopher Kane frock she wore earlier this week, which many of you didn’t like.

Initially I was craving a pop of colour, but on reflection this may have been a distraction much like that feathered detail the model wore with this look.

It great to see her back wearing Armani. The house where she belongs. A simple updo and satin Armani Privé ankle strap pumps completed her look.

Does the Queen meet with your approval on this occasion, or is the look too one note for you?

Eva Riccobono In Armani Privé - Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony & ‘Gravity’ Premiere

Following yesterday’s photocall, Eva Riccobono attended the opening ceremony and ‘Gravity’ premiere during the 2013 Venice Film Festival held at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy.

The model wore her second Armani Prive Fall 2013 gown in a row, this time selecting a delicate lace nude tiered spaghetti-strap dress.

This is yet another charming look; I especially love the ruby earrings, but I hope she switches things up for her next look, otherwise this could start to become a one-note run for her.

Kasia Smutniak did wear Valentino exclusively when she was mistress of ceremonies last year; however, her looks were more varied.

Eva Riccobono In Armani Privé - 70th Venice International Film Festival Photocall

The 70th annual Venice Film Festival starts today and this year’s mistress of ceremonies is the beautiful model Eva Riccobono.

She has some big shoes to fill following Kasia Smutniak, who took our breath away with look after look last year.

Eva started off her campaign by partaking in a photocall on the beach outside the Hotel Excelsior in Venice, Italy yesterday, giving us our first look at the Armani Privé Fall 2013 collection off the runway.
She glided down the beach wearing an enchanting silk-organza-and-lace spaghetti-strap nude gown with floral embroidery. A stunning princess gown if ever I saw one.

The opening ceremony will take place this evening with the premiere of ‘Gravity’, with Sandra Bullock, George Clooney and possibly a yet to be name cocktail waitress in attendance.

Couture Wish List 1

With Fall 2013 Couture week behind us and the first piece already taken to the red carpet, here is a roundup of the looks I would love to see on the red carpet and who I would like to see wearing them.

Alexandre Vauthier Couture: This bedazzled and feathered confection has Grammys, Billboard Awards or MTV Music Awards written all over it, so this look gave me a bit of a conundrum. I would love to see it on Katy Perry because the blue would be divine against her pale skin and dark hair; however, with such a deep plunge and being so well endowed, it could be a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, so I switched my final choice to Jennifer Lopez, who would work that slit like no other.

Alexis Mabille Couture: While the burlesque queen Dita von Teese loves black, she does step out of her comfort zone from time to time. This puff-sleeved blouse and floral skirt combo would be a refreshing change. It would be too much to ask for the runway styling, as we all know she loves those retro waves and red lips, but I’m pretty confident she could pull this look off.

Milla Jovovich In Armani Privé - Giorgio Armani Hosts 'One Night Only' Roma

Milla Jovovich wasn’t firing on all cylinders during Cannes Film Festival; however, she had a chance to redeem herself at the ‘One Night Only’ Roma event hosted by Giorgio Armani in Rome, Italy on Wednesday evening.

Sadly, I find myself once again very disappointed by her effort as I not only dislike the orange halter-neck Armani Privé Spring 2013 dress with that barrel accent, but I also dislike the styling, with the focus of my disdain starting with her mumsy hair.

The only plus regarding this look is that she didn’t opt for the runway styling.
