Zhang Ziyi In Armani Privé – 56th Asia-Pacific Film Festival Awards Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi In Armani Privé - 56th Asia-Pacific Film Festival Awards Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi attended an awards ceremony during the 56th Asia-Pacific Film Festival held at The Venetian Hotel and Casino on Sunday (December 15) in Macau, China.

The actress wore an Armani Privé Spring 2013 strapless peplum red-and-black embellished gown, which has a narrow skirt before fanning out in a puddle on the floor.

A Charlotte Olympia chain-accented black bag and silver jewels styled the look, with the actress opting for neutral makeup and complementary red nails.

The gown is a work of art and the silhouette is breathtaking, but I would’ve preferred this look without the necklace and bracelet.

Alicia Keys In Cushnie et Ochs & Armani Privé – Keep A Child Alive’s 10th Annual Black Ball

Alicia Keys In Cushnie et Ochs & Armani Privé - Keep A Child Alive's 10th Annual Black Ball

Alicia Keys hosted Keep A Child Alive’s 10th Annual Black Ball held at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City yesterday evening.

The singer wore one of her favourite brands, Cushnie et Ochs, wearing a red-hot sleeveless silk-crepe Resort 2014 gown featuring a bra-style underlay with a keyhole at the bust beneath the bodice and a deep V-neck.

Inside the venue Alicia did a quick change, performing wearing a custom Armani Privé purple beaded cocktail dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and a low-cut open back accented with a large strap.

Usually Alicia’s looks are very hit and miss. I’m pleasantly surprised that I love both looks. However, if I was to nitpick, I would’ve loved the Armani Privé look as a full-length gown.

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé – 51st New York Film Festival Gala Tribute To Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé - 51st New York Film Festival Gala Tribute To Cate Blanchett

The New York Film Festival honoured Cate Blanchett with a gala tribute for her significant artistic contributions to film culture, held at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening.

The Australian actress wore her second nude Armani Prive dress, but this crinoline-lace frock with a plunging neckline was custom-made.

I really love the dress – it’s nice to see Cate do sexy for a change – but I really wish it was in another colour. I know nude was the colour palette of the Fall 2013 collection, but I feel slightly fatigued by it already.

Perhaps the nude shoes are preventing me from totally loving this look.

Claire Danes In Armani Privé – 2013 Emmy Awards

Claire Danes In Armani Privé - 2013 Emmy Awards

Claire Danes turned heads at tonight’s 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The two-time Emmy-winning actress’s daring, nude Armani Privé Fall 2013 gown wasn’t the only hot topic. Claire’s shorter hair, which turned out to be just a faux bob, also got tongues talking.

Her ethereal dress featured a plunging, tulle bodice that was embroidered with shimmering paillettes, which cascaded into a flared, crinoline-lace skirt accented with a woven horizontal ribbon motif.

Her blonde ‘do and matte red lip gave a chic edge to the more romantic, sheer-effect gown that was more heavily lined than the runway version.

Do you like her new bold moves here?

Eva Riccobono In Armani Privé – 2013 Venice Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Eva Riccobono In Armani Privé - 2013 Venice Film Festival Closing Ceremony

The curtain came down on the 70th annual Venice Film Festival this evening with the closing ceremony held at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy.

Eva Riccobono took one last twirl on the red carpet wearing another Armani Prive Fall 2013 gown; her third of the festival.

On this occasion she selected a black lace gown with an illusion yoke to give the appearance of a strapless gown.

Once again I have a few nit-picks.

The gown is decorated with crystal detailing on the illusion panel so I don’t feel like the serpent necklace was needed.

Also my first reaction was to eye-roll the same hair and makeup she has championed throughout this entire festival. This look needed a lovely updo or a wavy faux bob to perfect the look especially since she insisted on wearing that necklace.
