Zoe Saldana In Michael Kors, Tory Burch & Goldsign - 'Infinity Polar Bear' Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Zoe Saldana joined the black-boot-loving parade otherwise known as Sundance Film Festival, attending the premiere of her latest flick ‘Infinity Polar Bear’ held at the Eccles Center Theatre on Saturday (January 18) in Park City, Utah.

Like Diane Kruger, the glamorous Zoe can do dressed-down chic oh so very well.

Opting for an all-black look sans her white Tory Burch ‘Murphy’ shirt, she wore a black Michael Kors sweater from the Fall 2013 collection with Goldsign ‘Virtual’ high-rise skinny black jeans, with my favourite piece of this look being her Robert Clergerie ‘Leonce’ lace-up boots with a fur trim.

Zoe Saldana In Prabal Gurung - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Every gaze must have been directed Zoe Saldana’s way, as she posed on the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday (January 12).

The actress, who is never one to shy away from the edgier side of fashion, debuted a ballet-pink and black frock from Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2014 collection.

The elegantly slim-line, pencil-skirt silhouette was given a provocative, futuristic dash of flair, given all that bold bric-a-brac that laced nearly every inch of the dress.

Punched up with silver flashing at the molded bodice and glittery flowery-like embellishment, it also featured an asymmetrical, sheer lace panel that shot through the bottom half and also showed up again at the slit of the back.

It was a sexy-sassy-quirky moment if there ever was one.

Matching blushing-nude heels and a pink Bottega Veneta clutch corresponded with the dress, while dainty Lorraine Schwarz diamond earrings, a slicked-back bun and red lip (no space-age lavender lipstick here) put a classic tinge on this complicated number.

Zoe has the distinct advantage of looking every bit as good as the runway model in this hyper-designed look. The complexity is what made this dress really tick—or for some, it may be its ultimate downfall. But the more I looked at it, the more I liked it, much to my own surprise.

You may remember that Fashion Critic had this dress picked out for Zoe Saldana on her wish list.

Hair Trend Spotting Braids 2
There’s no easier way to enhance your everyday hairstyle. Whether it’s a ponytail or a quick fix to keeping your tresses out of your face, celebrities are obsessed this season with braids.

Katy Perry pulled off a lengthy braided ponytail at the 15th NRJ Music Awards. For a full braid like hers clip-in extensions are a must.

Solange Knowles loves wearing box plaits, and she should, because they look great on her. To get this side swept style let the ends unravel freely.

Olivia Palermo, the braid connoisseur, wore two braids with her chignon at the 2013 Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Awards. The key to this look is using minimal product to achieve the ladylike softness.

Zoe Saldana’s braid is perfectly (un) done. For the effortless chic look curl hair first and tie a black ribbon on the tip of the loosely braided coils.

Is it just the celebrities, or are you obsessed with braids this season too?

Zoe Saldana In Marni - 2013 amfAR Inspiration Gala Los Angeles

Zoe Saldana attended the 2013 amfAR Inspiration Gala Los Angeles held at Milk Studios on Thursday evening (December 12) in California.

Back to showcasing her sartorial style, she wore a Marni Spring 2014 black belted peplum dress with asymmetrical layered ruffles, an open-back and a V-neckline.

Incorporating ruby elements into her look, she wore David Yurman mandarin-garnet-and-rubellite drop earrings with a black-diamond pinky ring, to which she added red velvet Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps, carrying an olive clutch embellished with ruby stones which matched both her lips and nails.

While I really like this look with the unpredictable accessories, I prefer the runway colour and styling with the sleeves down and beltless.

Which do you prefer?

Zoe Saldana In Sachin + Babi - Golden Globe Awards Nominations Announcement

Zoe Saldana attended the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards Nominations Announcement held at The Beverly Hilton this morning (December 12) in Beverly Hills, California.

Looking radiant, despite the early morning start, the actress wore a Sachin + Babi Spring 2014 ensemble consisting of a colour-block dotted sleeveless open-back top paired with a dotted and striped skirt, opting against the sheer runway skirt – no doubt to your delight.

Zoe has failed to win some of you over recently, with her Lanvin and Michael Kors’ looks receiving “nice, but not up to Zoe standard” mixed reviews.

While I can’t say this is my favourite look, I like the easy wearability of this look and I prefer her styling over both the runway exits.

She made it her own, effortlessly styling the look with Bruno Magli black ‘Bodufushi’ sandals, with a chic chignon and a hot-red lip completing the look.

It’s been a good 24 hours for Sachin + Babi with Zoe, Kristen Bell and Juliette Lewis all wearing the brand.

Zoe Saldana In Michael Kors - '106 & Park'

Prior to hosting the Niche Media party in Miami, Florida on Friday, Zoe Saldana dropped by ’106 & Park’ at BET studios in New York City on Thursday to promote her latest movie ‘Out of the Furnace’, in which she stars alongside Christian Bale, Casey Affleck and Woody Harrelson.

Zoe wore a simple white tee and rolled-up loose-fit boyfriend jeans, with her camel-coloured Michael Kors short-sleeved collarless jacket putting a touch of ‘chic’ into this uber-casual look.

Melinda Maria feather earrings, a selection of gold rings, and black Louboutin pumps styled her look, with a braided bun and bold red lips providing the finishing touches.

Which look do you prefer? The all-white Niche-Media-party Lanvin look or this laidback-chic look?
