Red Carpet Fashion Awards

After going for a masculine look for her last red carpet appearance, Sophia Bush opted for something more feminine for the 11th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree, held at The London Hotel in West Hollywood, California, last night.

I hate to say it, as she’s one of my faves, but I’m not crazy about the look.

The actress teamed a Ted Baker ‘Margi’ mustard detailed collar blouse with a Ted Baker ‘Larinda Decoupage’ skirt, which has a beautiful floral print with a contrasting waistband, but the styling doesn’t work for me.

The black pumps are too heavy, not only for this look but for any event with the words ‘summer soiree’ on the invitation.

I’m also not a fan of the lacquered and loose hairstyle.

A heavy, dark lip colour, a selection of jewels which brighten up the look somewhat and a striped Edie Parker clutch completed the look.

With Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale donning dramatic feminine looks on the red carpet last night for the ‘Total Recall’ LA premiere, Sophia Bush opted for a more boyish look.

The actress looked sensational wearing an IRO ivory blazer with black lapels and zipper pocket details which she paired with slick black leather leggings and a slouchy white tee with a black lace lining.

Her uber-cool look is a huge departure from what we’ve come to expect from her, but this is a risk that paid off.

Simple yet effective accessories included a black Chanel clutch, onyx earrings and Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps.

Smoky eyes, a rouge lip colour and a neat ponytail completed her look.

She was the second best of the night behind Kate Beckinsale.

Back in May Sophia Bush hosted the launch of the Apolis Defend Tomorrow Campaign with owners and brothers Shea and Raan Parton at the Apolis boutique in LA.

The event also celebrated the exclusive launch of a market bag personally designed by Sophia.

She was spotted carrying the bag in West Hollywood, California, yesterday.

Dressed in a very casual look she sported a white tee, denim shorts, shades, a beautiful Dannijo statement necklace and Cole Haan loafers to complete her look.

Sophia Bush attended the discussion panel for ‘Partners’ during the 2012 TCA Summer Press Tour on Sunday held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California.

Even while seated it was easy to pick out Stella McCartney’s signature fitted dress.

The chic jersey dress with striking tonal jacquard panels to accentuate an elegant hourglass silhouette was styled with black Casadei blade pumps.

Statement jewels, wavy curls and flawless makeup completed her fabulous look.

Actress and lifelong activist Sophia Bush is a strong voice for human rights, environmental initiatives and women’s development.

Last year she came across the Apolis Market Bag and became a fast friend and the charity’s first advocate for the Defend Tomorrow Initiative.

Looking as beautiful as ever Sophia wore wheat Apolis ‘Civilian’ chinos with an Enza Costa ‘Fisherman’s stripe tank and a chic navy Stella McCartney blazer.

She accessorized with a Falling Whistle necklace and Christian Louboutin heels.

Beautiful and charitable. I love her just that little bit more now.

The always-lovely Sophia Bush graced the red carpet at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday evening, held at the Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

Sophia stood out in a draped David Meister Signature dress.

The bright-orange hue is especially on-trend, as ‘Tangerine Tango’ was named the 2012 Pantone Colour of the Year.

I love that Sophia chose to add an extra pop of colour via her Christian Louboutin ‘Echasse’ blue-and-orange sandals, rather than a pair of more expected gold heels.

A Daniel Swarovski gold crystal ‘Lana’ clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels adds some sparkle to the ensemble.

Beachy waves and skin-kissed makeup finish the summery look.
