Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor, was a vintage delight in a billowing Elie Saab Couture gown for the screening of ‘The Homesman’ during Cannes Film Festival.

The L’Oréal Paris ambassador walked the red carpet working a faux bob ‘do with flapper girl waves. Mixing the eras, Sonam opted for a 60s makeup inspiration with bold red lips and heavy lush lashes.

Her ‘Great Gatsby’ hairdo help pulled the vintage look together. So take your hairstyle cues from the star and master her vintage updo in just a few steps.

Step 1: First section the crown into a triangular shape with a defined side part. Next, wrap this section around a small-barrelled curling iron, holding it a forward angle and securing each curl with a pin.

Step 2: Curl the remainder of your hair into loose curls. There’s no need to pin down these curls.

Step 3: Remove the hair clips from the top and brush out the curls into an S-wave pattern.

Step 4: For long hair, gather strands into a low ponytail and twist into a faux bob.

Step 5: For a finishing touch, spritz on some hairspray for extra hold and accessorize with a jewelled hairband just above the eyebrows for the flapper girl look.

There you have it. Sonam’s vintage ‘do right at your fingertips. To complete this look add a pop of red to your lips and a generous coat of mascara for a touch of extra drama.

Sonam Kapoor In Elie Saab Couture - Chopard Dinner

Sonam Kapoor was back on the red carpet this evening (May 19) for the Chopard Dinner held at the Cannes-Mandelieu Aerodrome during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

Cast in a romantic shade of powder blue, the gown – her second Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture look of the festival – features a structured bodice with cascades of sumptuous silk falling from the waist, creating an ethereal statement.

Adding yet another stunning necklace, this time by Chopard, she styled the look with a matching gold clutch, and a slick ponytail.

She’s well on her way to being crowned Queen of Cannes, however she has stiff competition from Cate Blanchett and Blake Lively.

Sonam Kapoor In Annamika Khanna - 'Foxcatcher' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Sonam Kapoor attended the ‘Foxcatcher’ premiere on a very windy evening during Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 19) in Cannes, France.

After blowing us away yesterday evening, the actress selected an Anamika Khanna look which was a modern interpretation of the Indian saree on this occasion, as she did last year.

The flesh-coloured sheer ensemble embroidered with gold was accented with a pearl and gold choker designed by her mother; Sunita Kapoor, which looks like it could be part of the outfit.

Opting to go matchy matchy, both her sandals and clutch colour coordinated with her stunning look.

"The Homesman" Premiere - The 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Sonam Kapoor made her first appearance on the red carpet during the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for ‘The Homesman’ premiere this evening (May 18) as the representative for L’Oreal India.

Working her magic, Old Hollywood style, the actress was breath-taking in an Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture gown with Chopard jewels.

As gorgeous as it was, I wish she had brought some colour to the red carpet. The weather is beautiful, so why not celebrate it with one of the coral, mustard or lavender gowns from the same collection?

Mini rant aside, she did make me swoon. Perfect from head to toe.

Sonam Kapoor In Prabal Gurung - Tata Medical Center Fundraiser

Sonam Kapoor attended the Tata Medical Center fundraiser in Mumbai on Saturday evening.

Opting for a sleek look, she wore a Prabal Gurung Resort 2014 black-and-white ensemble featuring a tuxedo jacket in a wrap-style silhouette with a notched lapel, styled with wide-leg tuxedo pants with contrast stripes and waistband.

As you know I rarely love Sonam’s shoe choice, so I’m not surprised to be disappointed by her choice once again on this occasion.

With the pants being so long, the heavy shoes just weigh down the look.

I do love everything north of her ankles, with a chic updo, red pout and black clutch providing the finishing touches.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Jessica Alba In Juan Carlos Obando & Sonam Kapoor In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture

Jessica Alba was your best dressed, wearing a Juan Carlos Obando white blouse tucked into a sequined floor-grazing skirt to the 2013 ALMA Awards which was both a sexy and refreshing look from the actress.

I went for Sonam Kapoor in Jean Paul Gaultier Couture, not just because I am a fan of animal print, but mostly because it was a difficult look to pull off and she mastered it – much to my surprise, I have to add.
