Rooney Mara In Donna Karan – The Late Show With David Letterman

Before Rooney Mara headed over to the Ziegfeld Theater for the premiere of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the actress dropped by ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ to promote her new movie.

She also talked about her football background, getting drunk before her audition and how much she was paid for the movie (apparently not a lot).

Rooney is the second person after Coco Rocha to wear a look from the Pre-Fall 2012 collections, as she donned a Donna Karan jumpsuit.

Her strapless jumpsuit with a white bustier top and black wide-legged pants was teamed with the same Christian Louboutin Mary Jane heels she wore to the premiere.

Blunt bangs and barely there makeup completed her look on this occasion.

Rooney Mara In Prabal Gurung – ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ New York Premiere

Rooney Mara took to the red carpet again last night to promote her latest movie, ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, with the New York premiere at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

She was back on form wearing a Prabal Gurung Spring 2012 dress.

The black silk-crepe dress with graphic inserts and flutter sleeves also has a completely sheer back.

This look couldn’t be more perfect for Rooney. It’s gothic with a girlie twist, but it’s a shame some of the details are lost against the black background.

The Nicholas Kirkwood for Prabal Gurung heels would’ve been the perfect choice, but Rooney opted for black Christian Louboutin Mary Jane patent peep-toes instead.

With her hair smoothly lacquered, the actress completed her look with red lippie.

This look has become my favourite out of the three she’s sported this week.

Following Rooney Mara’s amazing Givenchy Couture look on the red carpet for the London premiere of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, I expected her to turn things up a notch.

Sadly I was left a tad disappointed by her Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2012 jumpsuit.

The pants are killing this look for me. They are too long and the creases are bothersome, plus the overall fit appears to be too big for the petite star.

It’s ironic how her lacquered hairstyle is almost exactly the same as that of Keira Knightley who was the last person to wear this collection on the red carpet.

Rooney Mara In Givenchy Couture – ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ World Premiere

Rooney Mara has just taken to the red carpet with co-star Daniel Craig for the world premiere of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ at the Odeon Leicester Square in London this evening.

The actress wore a Givenchy Fall 2011 Couture gown.

Her white embroidered gown has been considerably lined from the version that was worn by the model, but it still has the cold shoulders, open back and cut-out details at the waist.

I love that Rooney has finally got the styling right.

The ‘death-warmed-up’ look was so unappealing.

Even with the raven black hair and blunt bangs, I still feel a warmth and softness from this look.

In fact I think she looks quite angelic whilst staying true to the Gothic persona she’s adapted for this movie.

Rooney Mara joined several other stars on the red carpet for the 2011 CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund Awards which were held at the Skylight SoHo in New York City last night.

The actress who stars in ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ wore a Calvin Klein Spring 2012 slip dress.

I find the contrast between her nude silk dress, her jet black hair and her black cherry lipstick too stark and unappealing.

My mother would call this death warmed up and she would be right.

White strappy sandals completed her look.

Rooney Mara For Vogue US November 2011

‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ actress Rooney Mara graces the November 2011 issue of Vogue US wearing a Ralph Lauren gown which has an embroidered dragon motif on the back.

She doesn’t let that crazy haircut hinder her as she looks stunning in the rest of her editorial, which was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

We see her wearing Alexander Wang, Marchesa, Calvin Klein Collection, Bottega Veneta and a Vera Wang gown which took my breath away.

It will be interesting to see what style direction she takes during the promotional tour of this movie, as she has the edgy haircut to contend with.

The first time I featured her, she looked very pretty wearing a blush Alberta Ferretti dress. Somehow I think her look will be a lot darker for this movie.

In her interview, Rooney Mara, younger sister to Kate Mara discusses losing weight for the role, how her aesthetic has changed, and the media frenzy surrounding the movie.

The issue hits newsstands on October 23.
