Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Reese Witherspoon attended the 10th Anniversary Avon Foundation for Women Gala in New York City last night as an ambassador for the brand.

We haven’t seen Reese on the red carpet for a long while.

It would’ve been amazing had she returned with an amazing hair transformation, but I guess that is just wishful thinking on my part.

She did however more than make up for it by looking very glam wearing a stunning Jason Wu Spring 2011 dress.

If you had money on Diane Kruger being the first to wear a look from this collection, you just lost your money.

Her strapless nude dress has a cacade skirt, black belt and a black tulle overlay on the bodice.

This tulle detail is complemented by her Christian Louboutin Chi Chi peep toe heels.

With her smoky eyes and blown out hair she’s as gorgeous as always.

You may not recognise her straight away, but that’s Reese Witherspoon under the hat and sunglasses.

She spotted at in Brentwood last month wearing a Madewell floaty floral dress.

The V-neck floral chiffon dress has a smocked elastic banding at the waist and draping at the sides.

Reese paired her look with a khaki jacket and nude ankle strap heels.

Jessica Alba wore this same dress a few days later on vacation in Paris.

Despite the look being a lot less busy on Jessica, I much prefer Reese’s footwear so she wins for me.

Reese Witherspoon celebrated Avon’s launch of her new fragrance “In Bloom by Reese Witherspoon” back in October last year.

Jessica Simpson wore the same dress recently when she visited “Late Show With David Letterman” in New York City last month.

Both girls paired the look with black pumps.

The major difference – apart from Jessica black sash – is that Reese opted to shorten her dress.

Reese made a smart move to shorten the hemline, making the dress much more flattering so she wins for me.

It was a 3-way tie for Best Dressed this week, which is very rare.

You guys couldn’t pick a clear winner between Gwyneth Paltrow in her stunning Elie Saab Couture gown and Reese Witherspoon in a cute Jason Wu strapless mini dress.

Two different styles, but two great looks.

I opted for Leighton Meester in Herve Leger.

It’s been a long time since Leighton has looked this good and although many didn’t like her footwear choice, I think the dress and her flawless make-up more than made up for it.

Reese Witherspoon attended the “Vital Voices 2010 Global Leadership Awards” last night.

The actress is the Honorary Chairperson of the Avon Foundation who held this event at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

With her hair pulled back Reese wore a cobalt blue Jason Wu ‘Kristie’ mini dress’ with a peplum at the waist.

I love the splattered black beaded details which cascade down the strapless mini which gives the look texture.

Black peep-toes complete the look.

I like that she didn’t add too much bling to this look.
