Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture – Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture - Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger received the insignia of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters at a ceremony held at the Ministry Of Culture on Monday (September 22) in Paris, France.

Going back into the archives, or perhaps in this case her closet, the German actress selected a look from Chanel’s Fall 2007 Couture collection.

The navy halter tuxedo-inspired frock, which still holds up now with its contemporary peplum, has many more interesting elements such as the black sequin bodice underlay, contrasting black stitch detailing and bow accent.

I love that she selected this dress for such an honourable occasion and setting. Usually she’s all about getting the fresh-off-the-runway look first.

Retro waves and silver jewels including an ear cuff rounded out her chic Parisian look.

Do you love it or should this dress have stayed in the archives?

Kerry Washington In Prabal Gurung & Giles – Good Morning America & The Limited ‘Scandal’ Collection Launch Event

Kerry Washington In Prabal Gurung & Giles - Good Morning America & The Limited 'Scandal' Collection Launch Event

Kerry Washington was on double duty yesterday (September 23). Not only was she promoting the new season of her hit TV show ‘Scandal’, but she was also promoting the limited edition ‘Scandal’-inspired clothing collection.

‘Good Morning America’: Kerry’s morning started bright and early with a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’, where she enlivened the audience with this contemporary offering from Prabal Gurung’s Resort 2015 collection. Used to much simpler styles, this racer front and peplum top paired with a dual-colour circle skirt with a leather flounce is a refreshing break from the norm. I love the silhouette and the simple styling, and despite the fact that there are so many elements to this look, she’s not overwhelmed by it.

The Limited ‘Scandal’ Collection Launch Event: Later that same evening Kerry was working her second peplum look of the day, this time wearing one of her favourite designers, Giles Deacon. I love the strong graphic impact this tie-dye denim-bustier Resort 2015 frock has to offer, but sadly I’m not too enamoured by the navy velvet Roger Vivier ‘Papillon’ bow-accented sandals or the Roger Vivier ‘Pilgrim Carre Orthodoxe’ embellished clutch. Both feel too prissy for this edgy look. A fishtail braid and a subtle selection of jewels completed her look.

Chloe Grace Moretz In Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Equalizer’ New York Premiere

Chloe Grace Moretz In Christian Dior Couture - 'The Equalizer' New York Premiere

Chloe Grace Moretz continued to crank up her efforts to promote her latest movie, ‘The Equalizer’, by attending the movie’s premiere held at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Monday (September 22) in New York City.

The actress wore Dior again, selecting a Spring 2014 Couture dark ink-blue off-the-shoulder frock accented with sequin appliqués.

This dress has all the elements to be a great red carpet look, from the style, the embellishments and the youthful appeal, to the complementary silver sandals; however, the hand-on-the-hip pose is jarring.

Am I nit-picking, or is the pose slightly throwing off the balance of this look?

Wavy tresses and flawless makeup provided the finishing touches.

Jessica Chastain In Michael Kors & Oscar de la Renta – 2014 San Sebastian Film Festival

Jessica Chastain In Michael Kors & Oscar de la Renta - 2014 San Sebastian Film Festival

Moving on from London, Jessica Chastain graced the 62nd San Sebastian Film Festival with her beauty on Monday (September 22) in San Sebastian, Spain with two great looks.

Arrival: Jessica arrived looking fresh and beautiful wearing a Michael Kors Resort 2015 sleeveless printed dress tailored in a flattering, elegant silhouette. Effortless styling with nude accessories, including Michael Kors ‘Doris’ sandals, topped off this ultra-feminine offering.

‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby’ Premiere: For the premiere held at the Victoria Eugenia Theater, Jessica kept the style short while dialling up the glamour, wearing an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2015 black silk faille cocktail dress with bold white taffeta embroidered blooms and a voluminous invert-pleated skirt to create a standout feminine silhouette. It’s really the hair and makeup which inject the glamour, from those glossy screen-siren waves to that glossy red lip.

I think she nailed both looks, even though I would’ve loved a gown for the premiere.

Rosamund Pike In Erdem – ‘What We Did On Our Holiday’ World Premiere

Rosamund Pike In Erdem - 'What We Did On Our Holiday' World Premiere

Rosamund Pike attended the world premiere of ‘What We Did On Our Holiday’ held at Odeon West End on Monday (September 22) in London, England.

The British actress wore a black Erdem Resort 2015 lace and textured frock which has a more relaxed silhouette to make room for her burgeoning baby bump.

This might not be what you expected when you read that this was a world premiere; however, I love the contemporary elegance she is serving up here.

The only thing I would perhaps add is one colour pop, either via a clutch or earrings.
