Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Nicole Kidman showed her support for the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards on Friday evening in West Hollywood, California.

She wore a Collette Dinnigan Spring 2012 ‘Mirabella’ dress.

Does this blush dress with black embroidered details and a black bow accented grosgrain belt look familiar to you?

That’s because Rachel McAdams wore the same dress just last week.

This is a major faux pas for her stylist. How can she dress Nicole in a look worn as recently as last week?

Faux pas aside, this is a great look for Nicole especially as she’s sporting a glowing tan for the first time in her life.

A sparkling hair clip, gold criss-cross sandals, statement earrings, and a diamond bracelet completed her look.

Nicole Kidman presented the award for ‘Best Original Screenplay’ at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday

The Australian actress wore a sexy Versace Spring 2012 studded gown.

Her body-hugging silver gown featured a gold-embellished thin halter top and intricate shirred detailing.

This classic Versace look was a surprising choice for Nicole, as we’re not used to seeing her in something so revealing.

It’s great she’s willing to try something new, but Nicole is too vanilla for me to consider her as a Versace girl.

Nicole Kidman once again accompanied her husband Keith Urban on the red carpet at the 2011 CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee last night.

The actress looked sensational wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2011 Couture gown.

Her gunmetal-grey beaded column gown was a great choice for Nicole with her slender, statuesque frame, but I’m left perplexed by the styling.

Whilst the matching clutch poses no problems, together the silver Fred Leighton floral choker and black pointy pumps do.

Surely silver or gunmetal-grey strappy sandals would’ve been more appropriate with that choker and her gown?

My eyes keep darting between the choker and the pumps in utter confusion.

Nicole never has problems in the shoe department, as she’s a fan of Pierre Hardy, so this makes her choice all the more confusing.

Her hair has vastly improved on this occasion. She has either had a relaxer or Brazilian blow-out since Wednesday night as her tresses are less frizzy and more smoothed out.

I guess she read your comments.

Pink lippy and metallic eye shadow completed her look.

Nicole Kidman fulfilled her wifely duties by escorting her husband down the red carpet for the 59th Annual BMI Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee yesterday evening.

The Australian actress wore a Stella McCartney Spring 2012 one-sleeve gown.

Her printed gown with an embroidered detail from the neckline to the waist was teamed with matching red and white bow front heels.

This look would’ve been outstanding if she had just done something with her hair.

It’s so limp and lacklustre in comparison to the gown.

Emerald Fred Leighton earrings and a sweet pink lip colour completed her look.

Do you like Nicole’s gown, or would you have preferred her to wear one of the original runway looks?

Nicole Kidman arrived at the “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” New York screening last night wearing her second Elie Saab dress in a row.

Like me she’s hooked.

Her red structured cocktail dress with a peplum detail is our first look from Elie Saab Resort 2012 collection on the red carpet.

I’m not surprised she picked this dress as it’s doing wonders for her by giving her curves which we never knew existed.

Whilst she looks fabulous, her accessories let her down.

I can live with the nude Jimmy Choo ‘India’ sandals, but I find the L’Wren Scott bordeaux “Lula” pochette a tad confusing.

Tousled waves and red lippie to match her dress completed her look.

Best Embellishments/Best Couture Award
Nicole Kidman sparkled on the red carpet at the BAFTA Brits To Watch Event, which was held at the Belasco Theatre in LA yesterday evening.

The Australian actress wore a custom Elie Saab gown.

Ice blue is a fabulous colour for Nicole, as it brings out the colour in her eyes.

The embellished gown with structured shoulders also has a drape detailing at the back.

Whilst I like the Manolo Blahnik heels, I’m not too crazy about the satin Ferragamo clutch.

The colour matches, yet it feels so out of place for me.

I would’ve preferred a box shaped minaudière which wasn’t so in the way.

Many of you have tagged Nicole as being boring on the red carpet for the past few years, so what do you think about this look?
