Nicole Kidman In Christian Dior - 2013 CMT Music Awards

Country’s biggest stars hit the purple carpet at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee for the 2013 CMT Music Awards.

Nicole Kidman had an amazing run during Cannes Film Festival, so I can almost forgive this subdued effort, especially considering she was a plus one at the event; however, I’m totally underwhelmed.

The actress wore a Christian Dior drop-waist LBD with a flounced hem, which she styled with white snakeskin Dior pumps with a black asymmetrical strap.

Her Fred Leighton jewels almost lifted me out of my sleepy slumber.

BDOTW Nicole & Jessica

Nicole Kidman was your clear winner for Best Dressed this week, wearing a Valentino Couture gown during Cannes Film Festival.

It was just one of many gowns worn by the Australian actress which swept us off our feet during the 12-day festival.

My pick was Jessica Chastain in Givenchy Couture. It was such an unexpected, bold choice for the usually reserved star. On a post of mostly neutral-coloured gowns, she really stood out.

BDOTW Men Tom & Jeremy

When it comes to men, our choices also greatly differed. You opted for the charming Tom Hiddleston in Alexander McQueen, while I selected Jeremy Renner in Lanvin.

While there isn’t much between them, for me the satin lapels and white pocket square added that much more refinement to Jeremy’s look to help me with my choice.

Nicole Kidman In Giorgio Armani - 'Zulu' Cannes Film Festival Premiere and Closing Ceremony

Channelling her inner Grace Kelly, Nicole Kidman was perfection personified on the red carpet this evening at the Palais des Festivals in France for the ‘Zulu’ premiere and Closing Ceremony for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

The actress looked ever so regal wearing a Giorgio Armani custom made bustier white silk cady gown with a v-neckline and gold Swarovski crystal bow detail sweeping across the bodice, which she styled with Harry Winston jewels.

Just when we thought we’d picked her best gown from the festival, this one sends us back to the drawing board to rearrange the order.

Last night she sported a cinnamon bun swirling braided updo, tonight the look almost resembled a matted dreadlocks with a red lip colour completing her look.

Do you have your order sorted? Where does this look rank for Nicole’s 2013 Cannes Film Festival red carpet looks?

Nicole Kidman In Chanel - 'La Venus a La Fourrure' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Nicole Kidman made her fourth red carpet appearance as a juror of Cannes Film Festival this evening, attending the ‘La Venus a la Fourrure’ premiere.

She’s had many BDOTY worthy moments from this festival, in fact each of the first three looks will battle for a place in my end of year list; however, this one will not be joining them.

The actress joins Tilda Swinton in selecting a look from the Chanel Resort 2014 collection.

While I don’t hate her white sequined dress with a silk tulle black-and-white ruffle hemline styled with a bejewelled belt, it didn’t leave me gasping for air like the other three.

Had it been longer, possibly. Or had it been sans ruffles, also possibly, but then the dress would have nothing dramatic to speak of. It would just be a white sequined dress, and lord knows we’ve seen plenty of those.

The red Christian Louboutin ‘Decollete 554′ pumps however really enhance the overall look.

Light make up, a rolled, braided messy updo and Fred Leighton black enamel and gold cuff bracelets provided the finishing touches.

Nicole Kidman In Valentino Couture - 'Nebraska' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Asked and answered.

Nicole Kidman made a long awaited return to the red carpet this evening for the ‘Nebraska’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival at Grand Théâtre Lumière in Cannes, France.

The actress wore a Valentino Spring 2013 Couture off-white sleeveless gown featuring a high-neck and floral overlay.

You may remember that this gown was supposed to take to the red carpet at the Oscars on the back of Anne Hathaway before the last minute switcheroo.

As the saying goes, one woman’s trash is another women’s treasure.

And what a delightful treasure it is. Elegant styling, including a sweeping updo and Cathy Waterman jewels, is why I’m constantly wishing she is on the red carpet every evening.

The night is still young, but this look is the one to beat.
