Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The Face

I couldn’t be more excited that the UK version of The Face will air on September 30 on Living. Mostly because of Naomi Campbell, who is the only judge who also appears on the US version.

Naomi was joined at the screening of the show by fellow mentors Erin O’Connor and Caroline Winberg at the Royal Opera House in London yesterday evening.

Naomi Campbell: Like I said yesterday, if she’s not wearing Alaïa, she’s wearing McQueen. This time she went for the latter, donning an Alexander McQueen Resort 2014 embossed jacket and pencil skirt. While I’m not surprised by her choice of designer, I am surprised by two things: 1. that the look is not black; and 2. that she opted to style this chic look with those heinous black booties. What a letdown.

Erin O’Connor: The statuesque beauty looks great in just about anything, but as this is the fourth run out of this blue-striped Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 look I’m too fatigued by it to give it a second glance. Like Naomi, her footwear choice is a head scratcher.

Caroline Winberg: By default Caroline is the best of the bunch – I never thought I would say that about a Herve Leger frock: her flirty bandage dress with a scooped neckline and electric-blue hue styled with sexy sandals is much more appealing to the eye than her fellow supers.

Naomi Campbell In Azzedine Alaia - Azzedine Alaia Spring 2014 Presentation

Naomi Campbell stood head and shoulders above Azzedine Alaïa while attending a party for the designer’s Spring 2014 collection during Paris Fashion Week yesterday evening.

Most supermodels of her generation wear Alaïa often on the red carpet, but none more so than Ms Campbell herself. In fact, if she’s not wearing McQueen, she’s wearing Alaïa.

On this occasion she took a rare night off from wearing a black Alaïa dress in order to model this beautiful blue turtleneck dress embroidered with green sequins.

After sporting wavy tresses just two days ago, the super wore a banging bob this time out.

An emerald ring, which sparkled more brightly than her frock, and black heels completed her look.

Naomi Campbell In Alexander McQueen - 2013 South-South Awards

Naomi Campbell attended the 2013 South-South Awards at The Waldorf Astoria in New York City on Sunday evening.

The supermodel wore a few of her favourite things: black and Alexander McQueen.

With her black flared-leg trousers and patent-leather black pumps she donned an Alexander McQueen jacket with an exaggerated wave ruffle-neck collar jacket.

As if she wasn’t slender enough, the nipped-in waist gives her an amazing silhouette.

Naomi Campbell In Atelier Versace - 2013 Novak Djokovic Benefit Dinner

Naomi Campbell worked a temporary short black bobbed wig while attending The 2013 Novak Djokovic Benefit Dinner at Capitale on Tuesday in New York City.

There has been a mini revival of Gianni Versace looks on the red carpet thanks to the likes of Miley Cyrus and Kat Graham, who have worn pieces from the brand’s 1992 bondage collection on the red carpet recently.

Back in 1992 the starlets were just born and two years old respectively when a fresh-faced 22-year-old Naomi was featured in the Atelier Versace Fall 1992 ad campaign wearing this black strap-detailed dress sans the signature Medusa buttons.

Cut to 21 years later and Naomi looks better than ever wearing the same black gown, this time with black sandals with gold trim from Fendi and silver earrings.

This is the very reason we dub them supermodels. Their special powers are to not age, or in most cases to get better with age.

Naomi Campbell In Azzedine Alaia - Novak Djokovic Foundation London Gala Dinner

Naomi Campbell attended the Novak Djokovic Foundation London gala dinner at The Roundhouse in London yesterday evening.

No prizes for guessing that she was wearing an Alaïa dress, as that is pretty much all she wears both on and off the red carpet.

As stunning as she looks, I have a been-there-done-that déjà vu vibe about this look, plus it was so hot in London yesterday something other than the predictable black from Naomi would’ve been appreciated.

I’m sure she is aware that Mr Alaïa creates dresses in other colours.

Silver and emerald jewels completed her look.

Naomi Campbell In David Koma - The Serpentine Gallery Summer Party

Naomi Campbell joined Sarah Jessica Parker on the red carpet for the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London yesterday evening.

After a brief flirtation with colour, it was back to black for Nay Nay, who wore an LBD from David Koma’s Spring 2013 collection.

Her black frock with sheer sleeves and leather vinyl-like trims on her skirt was styled with Alaia winged studded ankle boots, which are similar to the ones we saw on Kate Moss yesterday.

In addition to her wavy locks with long bangs – summer’s current hair trend – the model opted for her signature dark lip colour and a selection of rings.

The Evian 'Live Young' Suite At Wimbledon

It’s the first day of the Wimbledon Championships and, despite there not being a single ray of sunshine in SW19, these lovely ladies dressed for the summer season.

Mollie King: I know many of you have asked me to blacklist The Saturdays, but I couldn’t help but feel inspired by Mollie King’s outfit. The singer wore a pretty Oasis Botanical Iris jacket and matching Oasis Botanical Iris shorts with a solid white shirt, accessorizing with nude pumps. I love how even her Evian lanyard works with her look.

Laura Carmichael: The ‘Downton Abbey’ star swapped her ‘20s garb for this charming Erdem button-down printed dress with an electrifying pink-and-blue floral print styled with black sandals.

Naomi Campbell: Who knew Nay Nay liked tennis? The supermodel was in very good spirits, shunning her usual all-black for a light-blue fitted frock styled with a black suede studded jacket.
