Miley Cyrus In Calvin Klein Collection – KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball

Miley Cyrus In Calvin Klein - KIIS FM's Jingle Ball

Miley Cyrus attended KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Friday evening.

The singer, whose red carpet style has been questioned on more than one occasion recently, selected a Calvin Klein Collection Resort 2014 black suede halter top with a waist wrap detail and a black skirt.

Demure by her standards, she’s unlikely to offend on this occasion as she manages to find the right balance of looking like a sexy pop star without revealing too much or jumping feet-first into vulgar territory.

Black-and-gold strappy sandals, a red pout and subtle jewels completed the look.

Miley Cyrus In Markus Lupfer – 2013 American Music Awards

Miley Cyrus In Markus Lupfer - 2013 American Music Awards

After surprising us all with a demure Versus Versace white suit on the red carpet, Miley Cyrus changed into something more, well, Miley-esque for her performance at the 2013 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Having just turned 21 this weekend, the singer hit the stage for a performance of her smash hit ‘Wrecking Ball’ wearing a custom Markus Lupfer ‘meow’ top and high-waisted panties featuring a cat print, which she styled with matching platform shoes, PVC oversized earrings and bracelets.

As much as she may believe, there is nothing sexy or appealing about this look.

The bigger question is when did it become mandatory for celebs to perform in their underwear?

Miley Cyrus In Versus Versace – 2013 American Music Awards

2013AMA_MileyCyrus

Miley Cyrus was remarkably reserved on the red carpet of the 2013 American Music Awards, held on Sunday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The boundaries-breaking songstress has lately kept us on our toes, keeping us guessing about which fashion side we’ll see—overtly skin-baring or sophisticatedly dazzling.

She left the daring edge for another occasion—no doubt for her closing performance later in the show—simply parading out a Versus Versace white pantsuit for her more androgynous arrival.

Sure, the jacket was plunging and there was a flicker of punk edge thanks to the oversized gold safety pin accents. But tame was still the name of this game, right down to her standard black Saint Laurent pumps and small dose of Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

She even went for a bare-faced approach (her bleached eyebrows have thankfully been restored) whilst leaving her cropped ’do without its signature voluminous attitude.

Perhaps this look only felt lacklustre because we are used to Miley making such a style scene. Still, there was something refreshing about this safer statement.

Miley Cyrus In The Blonds – Bambi Awards 2013

Miley Cyrus In The Blonds – Bambi Awards 2013

Following her rather demure and well-covered red carpet look, Miley Cyrus was glowing on stage for her performance at the Bambi Awards 2013 held in Germany yesterday evening.

The singer wore a neon-yellow The Blonds crop top and high-waisted shorts from the Spring 2014 collection, which she accented with green Perspex scale-like accents and a metallic trim.

As far as stage outfits go, this is her best one in recent times.

It’s sexy without being too revealing and edgy, which is perfectly in tune with her current persona.

Her hair was pretty much the same from the red carpet, but she swapped out the dark gothic lip for a neutral shade.

Green creepers and a selection of gold jewels completed her look.

Miley also received the Bambi Award for International Pop.

Miley Cyrus In Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier – Bambi Awards 2013

Miley Cyrus In Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier - Bambi Awards 2013Miley Cyrus managed to shock again, this time at the 2013 Bambi Awards, held Thursday night at the Stage Theatre in Berlin, Germany—except this time, it may be a good surprise for those who are fatigued with her public displays of skin.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ songstress, who was honored in the category of International Pop, was also completely covered up from head to toe in a black, vintage Jean Paul Gaultier gown from the ’90s, paired with Fendi heels.

With an exaggerated, collar neckline and exploded, circular sleeve-cuffs, this floor-length creation fused all-out glamour with a sci-fi edge, whilst showing us the oft-missed, sophisticated side of Miss Cyrus.

To go with the gown, she painted on a matte oxblood lip and swept back her short blonde quiff.

Since twerking wasn’t an option, she amped up the funk factor via her accessories, namely Lorraine Schwartz jewels, plus an extremely oversized pearl-and-gold Chanel Spring 2014 choker necklace. It was not exactly a necessary piece, given the neckline of the gown. But why nitpick at such as rare sartorial moment as this.
