Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Miley Cyrus - 2013 MTV EMAs

Following her MTV Music Video Awards performance, I am sure all eyes were on Miley Cyrus as she took to the red carpet at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam this evening for the MTV EMA’s 2013.

The singer arrived wearing a Biggie and Tupac ‘Please Stop The Violence’ graphic dress from the NY Vintage archives, which probably started out life as a simple tee-shirt but it has been hoochiefied for our entertainment.

If you object to my use of the word hoochiefied, please see the back; what little of it there is.

Miley wore this to shock, but to me, this look is very much expected.

Tom Ford boots and a selection of jewels completed her look.

Miley-Cyrus-In-Marc-Jacobs-30th-Annual-Fashion-Group-International-Night-Of-Stars2

Miley Cyrus joined Alexa Chung on the red carpet yesterday evening for the 30th Annual Night Of Stars presented by The Fashion Group International at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The singer presented Marc Jacobs with the year’s Superstar Award, fittingly wearing a full-length, backless halter dress from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection in a majestic colour to covet, I love how the green sparkles catch the light.

I have to say this is the best she’s looked in a long time. Deciding not to make the night all about her, she toned down the theatrics, didn’t go half-naked, and kept her tongue in her mouth.

Slicking back her cropped locks, she accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Saint Laurent sandals, with green eye makeup complementing her gown and making her baby blues pop.

While I have a feeling she toned down for one night only, do you think this look is much improved?

Miley Cyrus In Dolce & Gabbana - 2013 MTV Video Music Awards #VMAs

Miley Cyrus channeled her inner funk-star at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday evening.

The ‘We Can’t Stop’ entertainer is nominated for four Moon Man statues, including ‘Best Song of Summer’, ‘Best Editing’, ‘Best Pop Video’ and ‘Best Female Video’.

And she certainly outfitted herself for the big night in a statement vintage look by Dolce & Gabbana. The bodycon, black long-sleeve crop top and matching high-waisted leggings were dotted with rows of colourful, bonbon-like gemstones.

Talk about a candy crush saga.

Mile-high Giuseppe Zanotti black platform sandals fit right in to the funky-fun spirit, as did her matte-red lip and the twisted mini-buns atop her head.

Lorraine Schwarz jewels always add sparkle to any ensemble, but this look-at-her number had enough without the incongruous diamond necklace.

Miley Cyrus In Saint Laurent - 2013 Teen Choice Awards

Miley Cyrus toned down her look while attending the ‘Paranoia’ premiere with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth last week, but the ‘We Can’t Stop’ songstress was back to her bad-girl style for the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

She wore a Saint Laurent see-through blouse over a leather bra with a black leather buckle-up mini skirt from the Fall 2013 collection.

Opting to wear the same Saint Laurent ‘Janis’ pumps from the premiere, the rest of her look included gold Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

A few months ago this would’ve been quite a shocking look for Miley, but now it has become the norm and perfectly in tune with her new persona. I think she pulls the sexy rock-chick look off really well.

Do any of you disagree? Was she worthy of her Choice Style Icon award?

Miley Cyrus In Proenza Schouler - 'Paranoia' LA Premiere

Miley Cyrus attended the ‘Paranoia’ premiere held at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, California to support her fiancé Liam Hemsworth who stars in the movie.

The singer selected a Proenza Schouler Spring 2013 sleeveless red-black-and-snakeskin patchwork perforated leather dress featuring stud hardware at the straps and a flared skirt.

Even though she opted for an edgy dress, she styled the look with ladylike accessories including white Saint Laurent pumps and a Chanel shoulder bag.

In an attempt to tone down her inner rock goddess, she opted for natural makeup, with nude matte lips and her punk crop left flat and smooth.

The ‘We Can’t Stop’ songstress completed her look with a selection of gold jewels, which were in total contrast to her ladies-who-lunch accessories.
