Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Lily Collins was one of the many celebs who attended the Marni for H&M collection launch party in LA on Friday evening.

Unlike the rest of the event’s celebrity guests, Lily chose to wear a Marni Spring 2012 dress (sans sheer nude slip), rather than the H&M collection.

Whilst I’m surprised not to see her in the Marni for H&M collection, she does look so very charming in this pale blue frock.

It would’ve been a nice touch had she accessorized with the collection’s white sequined Marni for H&M collar to match her white clutch and heels.

Vanity Fair’s March 2012 issue, which is the annual Hollywood Issue, features eleven of the most up-and-coming actresses who were shot by Mario Testino.

The main cover features Rooney Mara, Jennifer Lawrence, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain.

After the fold we have Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins and Brit Marling.

There are always great debates that go on with regards to this cover every year.

I would’ve swapped Mia with Elizabeth and had her on the main cover, and I’m not sure Paula should be considered up-and-coming as she’s been around for a while. Also Shailene is totally unrecognisable.

Each actress wore a pastel-coloured satin dress for the 20s boudoir-themed shoot with screen-siren hairstyles and bold lip colours.

They all look great, but Jennifer steals the cover for me as she’s in full-on bombshell mode. Very Jessica Rabbit.

Here are some extracts from their interviews:

Jessica on her superstar crush:The English Patient. Of course. Those love scenes!”

Jennifer on who else she’s like to work with: “I’d love to work with the Cohen brothers. Tommy Lee Jones. Jack Nicholson. And I’d love to work with Renee Zellweger. I’m a huge Renee Zellweger fan.”

Rooney on her crush growing up: “Thom Yorke.”

Jennifer on her childhood crush: “When I was little, like 90s, era, I had such a big crush on Justin Timberlake from *NSYNC that I almost thew up.”

Lily Collins was in New York City last night for the ‘Seminar’ Broadway opening night.

The young actress is the first to wear a look straight off the runway from the Carven Spring 2012 collection.

This collection is very much aimed as sweet, young girls like her, so it’s no wonder she snapped up this collection quickly.

Her colourful print dress with a signature Peter Pan colour in a contrasting blue colour is styled with beige Mulberry Resort 2012 bow front pointy points.

I quickly gloss over her tights to notice that she’s carrying a Mulberry Lily bags.

You can buy Lily’s Mulberry Lily bag from
Matches Fashion and Luisa via Roma.

The next stop on the ‘Abduction’ promotional tour for Lily Collins and Taylor Lautner was in Paris this week.

Lily hit the red carpet wearing a Chanel taffeta dress.

This dress is yet another change of style following her edgy Versace look and her retro Marc Jacobs look.

Her feminine and chic navy pencil dress with peplum waist has a decorative black, embellished bow.

The young actress wore her hair back into a simple bun and added black Christian Louboutin peep-toes to her look.

This look is too dark, moody and ageing for me so I can’t get excited about it.

I’m missing a stand-out accessory.

Lily Collins was in London last night with co-star Taylor Lautner, for their “Abduction” Premiere which was held at the BFI IMAX Waterloo.

The actress wore a Versace Resort 2012 mini dress, the second look from this collection we have seen this week.

Her chic black cocktail dress with black leather bodice and gold grommet details is an edgier look than we’re used to seeing on the youngster.

In keeping with the dark mood of her dress, she opted for smoky eyes and black nail polish for a slightly gothic look.

Black Christian Louboutin platform peep-toes, David Yurman earrings and a gold and black Alexander McQueen completed her look.

I’m glad to see Lily is experimenting with different styles whilst promoting this movie.

The only thing I don’t favour about this look is her hair.

Her purposely messy tresses just looks unkempt.
