Refinery29 29Rooms Los Angeles: Turn It Into Art Opening Night

The Refinery29 ’29Rooms Los Angeles: Turn It Into Art’ opening night party saw a host of lovely ladies in attendance on Wednesday (December 6) in California.

Gabrielle Union: The ‘Being Mary Jane’ actress wore a TOME Fall 2017 bomber jacket and corseted shirt, plus some check trousers. I’m usually a big fan of Gabrielle’s style, but I couldn’t get on board with this look. I think the shirt is really the chink in her armor here.

Margot Robbie: With those power shoulders, it’s quite clear that Margot was paying homage to the 80s in this sleek Saint Laurent Spring 2018 look which she styled with Pierre Hardy ‘Laser’ pumps.

Janelle Monae: Did Janelle’s invite say come as art? That can be the only explanation for this Kaimin leather dress and Nange Magro // Dead Lotus Couture latex headpiece. You gotta admire her for committing to the look if nothing else.

The Hollywood Reporter’s 2017 Women In Entertainment Breakfast Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more fashionable femmes in attendance at The Hollywood Reporter’s 2017 Women In Entertainment Breakfast on Wednesday (December 6) in Hollywood, California, joining Zoey Deutch and Jennifer Lawrence.

Amandla Stenberg: With a bold play on colour-blocking, this Solace London Resort 2018 ensemble celebrated the feminine form—even with menswear-inspired trousers. I like the vivid curve of the red-orange halter in contrast with the white waistband piece. Nicholas Kirkwood embellished pumps completed the look.

Lea Michele: The actress opted for the elegant-girly aesthetic of designer Lela Rose with this floral-embroidered frock.

Isla Fisher: The suiting trend got a punchy, graphic boost in this Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 matching jacket and pants, styled with a coordinating navy blouse.

Lily Collins In Prada – 2018 Breakthrough Prize

Lily Collins joined Kerry Washington at the 2018 Breakthrough Prize event on Sunday (December 3) in Mountain View, California.

The actress charmed in a Prada dress crafted in the softest ballet pink.

Some might be craving something more impactful, but I loved the diagonal fringing with the loose bow at the neckline.

The textural detail continued in the back, yet the look still had a streamlined modernity.

Her champagne shoes echoed the softness of the dress, but the injection of the red lipstick added some drama.

Lily Collins In Zimmermann – Film Independent 2018 Spirit Awards Press Conference

Lily Collins stepped out at the Film Independent 2018 Spirit Awards press conference on Tuesday (November 21) in West Hollywood, California.

There is an ethereal prettiness to the Zimmermann Spring 2018 dress with the soft pastel blue print and the lacy hem.

What makes the frock truly memorable for me is the alluring undertone the slits give it.

There are many who are fatigued with the mere suggestion of a cut-out, but these ones feel fresh, especially with the addition of the crisscross detail.

The placement might not be perfect, but I appreciate the innovation, and find they work well with the rest of the dress.

White pointed-toe pumps completed the whimsical style.

Lily Collins In Ralph & Russo – 2017 GO Campaign Gala

Lily Collins is someone I’m intrigued with as she isn’t afraid to play with new styles or fashion-forward looks. At the 2017 GO Campaign Gala on Saturday (November 18) in Hollywood, California she channeled spring romance.

The actress donned a Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 dress. It had an undeniable sweetness courtesy of the pleated mini skirt and gathered asymmetrical neckline.

However, it was trendy rather than twee thanks to the white belt and the injection of bright yellow in the watercolour floral print.

Silver ankle-strap sandals allowed the flirty dress to be fully appreciated.

Front Row @ Givenchy Spring 2018

Paris Fashion Week saw a host of pretties on the front row at the Givenchy Spring 2018 show on Sunday (October 1) to witness designer Clare Waight Keller’s first collection for the label.

Lily Collins: Angelic with an edge. That’s exactly how I’d describe Lily’s diaphanous white lace dress punctuated by the black under-straps and mod white booties. I did find myself wishing for a more streamlined, barely-there black sandal here.

Cate Blanchett: Queen Cate was back in all her glory in this impossibly chic suiting ensemble. I love how the cropped proportions and the midnight-blue lip motif on the jacket—coupled with her pendant necklaces—brought a sense of unconventional yet effortless sophistication to the look.

Fan Bingbing: Despite its all-white palette, there was a dramatic allure that permeated this trench dress that saw Fan continuing to step across the line of her go-to, princess-and-platform styles. She balanced the subtle mystique of the sheer sleeves, which was echoed in the sheer gloves and sheer pants, with her sleek bun and bold red lip.
