Kirsten Dunst In Rodarte – 2012 Met Gala

Kirsten Dunst attended the 2012 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City this evening.

The actress doesn’t surprise us by wearing a custom Rodarte look.

I love that she went for something different. One can get tired of seeing a succession of similar strapless gowns hit the red carpet at these events.

Her pumpkin-and-cream wool crepe double lapel jacket accented with a thick black leather belt was teamed with a pumpkin wool and floral lace gown.

I hope we get to see the look sans jacket at some point, because the lace part looks enticing.

Like many others at this event, Kirsten opted for a retro wavy hairdo.

Who Wore Rodarte Better? Kirsten Dunst or Tory Burch

During Cannes back in May last year, Kirsten Dunst started to really wow us on the red carpet and thankfully she has continued to do so ever since.

For the ‘Melancholia’ premiere she looked stunning wearing a Rodarte Fall 2011 polka-dot haltered mermaid dress with a forest-green wool bodice.

With chic glossy blonde locks she added silver jewels to her look.

Designer Tory Burch wore the same dress to the Vanity Fair party in LA on Sunday evening.

She teamed her dress with stunning Tory Burch earrings and a black clutch.

For those earrings alone, Tory wins for me.

Kirsten Dunst In Dolce & Gabbana – 2012 Independent Spirit Awards

Kirsten Dunst also attended the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards, taking place in Santa Monica tonight.

The ‘Melancholia’ actress chose tailored basics, including a white Dolce & Gabbana blazer and contrasting black mini dress.

The simple look was amped up with quirky accessories – most notably, black-and-white floral wedges plus a yellow clutch which adds a bright pop of colour to this simple look.

Kirsten Dunst In Roland Mouret – ‘Bachelorette’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Kirsten Dunst braved the cold at Sundance to promote her new film, “Bachelorette,” which premiered at the festival on Monday evening.

Kiki took back her title of indie darling, in a glam but completely Sundance-appropriate outfit. The actress paired a black Roland Mouret Spring 2012 dress with a cropped Derek Lam Pre-Fall 2012 fur jacket.

Kirsten accessorized the look with a Chloe gold-trimmed clutch and Chloe lace-up ankle boots.

Balancing lux fur with cool-girl biker shoes looks completely natural on Kirsten, who sported a chic side-braid updo and rosy lips.

Kirsten Dunst In Stella McCartney & Rodarte – Rodarte Dinner

Kirsten Dunst attended a dinner in celebration of Rodarte which was held at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood on Tuesday.

She mixed things up by wearing a yellow Stella McCartney blazer from the Resort 2012 collection with a white shirt and Rodarte Spring 2012 brocade cropped pants.

I adore this combination of vibrant colours, prints and textures.

Jimmy Choo ‘India’ sandals, gold earrings and a black clutch completed the look.

I have mentally Photoshopped the clutch out of the equation so I can say that this is a BDOTW worthy look.
