Who Wore Louis Vuitton Better…Kirsten Dunst, Huo Siyan or Alice Englert?

Who Wore Louis Vuitton Better Kirsten Dunst, Huo Siyan or Alice Englert

Back in July, Kirsten Dunst hit the opening of Louis Vuitton’s latest boutique in Paris in a look from – what else? – Louis Vuitton’s 2013 resort collection. The actress paired the slightly casual maxi dress with a gold LV clutch, light makeup, and soft blonde waves.

The retro look of this dress is a tough one to pull off, but Kirsten got everything right with the accessory and styling choices.

Fellow actresses Alice Englert and Huo Siyan, however, didn’t show Kirsten’s flare for rocking the flower-child maxi look when they both donned the same dress this past fall.

Huo Siyan overshot her ensemble by copying the runway version of the look to the letter with a LV cardigan and blazer, which she wore to the L’Officiel 2012 China Elegance Awards in Beijing back in October.

She let the dress and layered pieces overwhelm her small frame. The result was too matchy-matchy and lacking any real sense of sophistication or high style.

Alice took to the red carpet in LA during early November for the screening of ‘Ginger and Rosa’ at AFI FEST 2012 and simply went too minimal. The dress looked too casual without any luxe touches or sense of sparkle.

The clear winner in this battle of the patterned maxi dresses is Kirsten Dunst.

Kirsten Dunst In Christian Dior – ‘On The Road’ New York Premiere

Showing a lot more class and decorum in comparison to her co-star Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst also attended the ‘On The Road’ New York premiere held at the SVA Theater in New York City yesterday evening.

The blonde actress kept her look simple, wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2013 coat-dress.

Her long-sleeve navy look with a single-button fastening was styled with black fishnet tights and the same navy satin Dior runway sandals with a pink metallic strap.

Silver statement earrings, wavy tresses and a pop of fuchsia pink to the lips completed her look.

Kirsten Dunst In Christian Dior – ‘On The Road’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Kirsten Dunst attended the premiere of ‘On The Road’ at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this week.

The actress chose a blush Christian Dior gown for the event.

Both Kirsten and the gown are beautiful, but I’m not convinced they go together.

Although the dress is a great shape and fit on Kirsten, the hue seems to make her fair skin look far pinker than it actually is.

The hairstyle also looks a tad little-girlish, though the Swarovski hair pin is a nice touch – as is the Van Cleef & Arpels Lotus ring, but I’m not feeling that dark lip either.

Kirsten Dunst In Stella McCartney – ‘Bachelorette’ New York Premiere

Kirsten Dunst looked as cute as a high-end designer button at the premiere of her film ‘Bachelorette’ in New York City yesterday.

For her second appearance on RCFA today (we fell in lust with her in Lanvin earlier), the actress chose a matching short and top concoction from British designer Stella McCartney’s Resort 2013 collection.

I love this look on Kirsten. It channels her kooky charm and it’s so great to see something other than a dress on a celebrity making a public appearance.

The under-styled hair and red lip are a sweet accompaniment, but I would’ve preferred a more delicate shoe than the mustard Chloe heels.

Kirsten Dunst In Lanvin – ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’

Kirsten Dunst was all smiles for her appearance on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ in New York City last night.

The actress chose a cream and black dress from the Lanvin Resort 2012 collection for the show.

It’s a great look on Kirsten. The cross-over bust helps accentuate her bust, while the on-trend peplum gathers in her waist. The length is perfect too – allowing her to show off her fabulous pins.

The ever-so-slightly retro curls nod to the 20s trend that we’re seeing so much of lately, while the black stiletto heels and orange lip keep things modern.
