Kerry Washington In Tanya Taylor – ‘Good Morning America’

Kerry Washington In Tanya Taylor

Kerry Washington was all smiles as she made her way to a studio in New York City on Monday (May 4) for her guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’.

I love the vibrancy of her Tanya Taylor Spring 2015 look featuring a pinwheel motif for an attention-grabbing, playful effect, which was further enhanced with a pair of tric-colour Christian Louboutin ‘True Blue’ sandals.

Her ultra feminine look was complete with a pair of cool shades and a Jason Wu ‘Daphne’ bag.

Kerry Washington In Prada – Met Gala After Party

Kerry Washington In Prada - Met Gala After Party

Kerry Washington attended the ‘China: Through The Looking Glass’ Costume Institute Benefit Gala After Party in New York City on Monday (May 4).

It’s fair to say that you didn’t like the over-worked pink Prada gown she wore on the red carpet – some immediately adding the look to their WDOTY list – but I have a feeling you will like this light grey silk Prada dress enriched with beads and Swarovski crystals composing the ‘molecule’ pattern from Prada’s Fall 2015 collection.

On this occasion the green Prada pumps and an emerald green Prada clutch work well with her frock giving me the feeling that perhaps this should’ve been her red carpet look.

What are your thoughts?

Kerry Washington In Prada – 2015 Met Gala

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

Kerry Washington made a grand entrance at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).

Sweeping onto the red carpet in a flourish of pink satin, the actress wore a Prada high-low gown with sparkling tonal embellishment that was also reflected in her Harry Winston jewels.

I actually fell in love with this voluminous confection from the back, where the vast proportions of the train provided an enchanted silhouette. But I wasn’t as captivated by the front, as the bodice translated as a bit constricting and cumbersome.

Jewel-toned green accessories provided another element of quirk that’s always part of a Prada look.

Kerry Washington In Timo Weiland – ‘Scandal’ ATAS Event

Kerry Washington In Timo Weiland - 'Scandal' ATAS Event

Kerry Washington attended the ‘Scandal’ ATAS event at Directors Guild of America on Friday (May 1) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress was at her best in a Timo Weiland Fall 2015 ensemble that was infused with the bold, graphic punch of an all-over abstracted print.

The cropped top put a modern spin on the matchy separates with the pencil skirt adding figure-defining sophistication.

Styled beautifully with the pop of pink Tamara Mellon python-patterned shoes, a complementary Lee Savage ‘Large Space’ clutch, and loose waves, the look was strikingly fresh and eye-catching.

Her chic streak lives on.

Who Wore Oscar de la Renta Better…Kerry Washington or Michelle Jenner?

Who Wore Oscar de la Renta Better..

Kerry Washington wore a graphic floral print Oscar de la Renta frock cut with feminine fullness, with a rise-and-fall hemline, to the Baby2Baby Gala back in November, styling the look with Christian Louboutin ‘Justinodo’ sandals.

A few months later, Michelle Jenner wore the same dress to the Fotogramas Awards.

Kerry wins this for her shoe choice alone. A dainty dress needs a dainty shoe, so she mastered the styling of this look.

Kerry Washington In Giambattista Valli – Variety’s Actors on Actors: Emmy Edition

Kerry Washington In Giambattista Valli - Variety's Actors on Actors Emmy Edition
Kerry Washington attended Variety Studio’s Actors on Actors, presented by Autograph Collection Hotels, on Sunday (March 29) in Los Angeles, California.

Once again in fine form, the ‘Scandal’ star was lovely in a Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2015 frock that featured the kaleidoscopic, lacy floral motif seen throughout the collection.

Even though the cameras caught her with arms crossed, the stance does nothing to take away from the whimsical chicness of the embroidered bodice and skirt.

Thankfully, she highlighted the pink-coral hue from the dress with her matching lace-look Bionda Castana pumps, rather than opting for the easy way out in a black pair.

The rest of her styling was also spot-on with a beautiful side updo and rich berry-red lip finishing the look.
