Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Katie Holmes joined guests at the ‘Rendez Vous with Alber Elbaz’ at Carondelet House on Friday in LA.

The actress wore a Lanvin Resort 2012 ensemble.

A gold Lanvin Chinese lamé T-shirt was teamed with silk white pants.

The actress, who loves Lanvin pointy pumps, this time opted for strappy sandals.

I love the cute braided Heidi-esque do.

Katie opted for a fresh face and no jewels.

Katie Holmes took to the red carpet last night for the LA premiere of her latest movie, ‘Jack & Jill’.

The actress/designer wore an ensemble from her own Holmes & Yang collection.

Her silk-chiffon sleeveless v-neck dress has a crisscross purple top half and a black pleated skirt.

I was going to give her ill-fitting, bra revealing, self designed dress a mercy thumbs up until I saw the Lanvin pumps.

The colour isn’t the issue; it’s those grey ankle straps.

I fail to see what look she was trying to achieve by adding them as they cut her off at the ankles.

Katie Holmes attended the 2011 Emmy Awards tonight.

The actress chose a blue Calvin Klein Collection dress with a very sporty silhouette.

Her minimalist dress is cinched at the waist with a thin silver belt.

Katie added only a pair of Pierre Hardy shoes to her look.

She styled her hair in a casual top bun and wore gorgeous dewy makeup including silver shadow and pink lips.

The colour is pretty on Katie but the fit looks off around the neckline and bust.

She gets major points on the hair and makeup though. Flawless.

Worst Shoes Award
Katie Holmes attended the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre in LA tonight.

The beautiful actress wore an Azzedine Alaia halter dress.

Her ultra-feminine dress would’ve been perfect with a pair of striking heels, but instead she opted for tan Proenza Schouler suede ‘Snub-Nose’ ankle noots.

I don’t think an Alaia dress has ever been this close to horrific shoes.

This is such a shame because everything else (excluding that pose) is perfect from her glossy waves to her flawless make-up.

Taylor Swift picked this pretty Contrarian ‘Barbara Bibb’ dress to attend Brooke and Dunn’s ‘The Last Rodeo’ in Las Vegas back in May.

The cute lavender dress features a deep V-neck, silk sash belt and ruffled trim around the hem.

Taylor kept her look simple, accessorizing with her trademark ringlet curls and metallic silver peep-toe Christian Louboutin heels.

Katie Holmes chose the same dress to wear to the 2011 LA Film Festival “Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark” Premiere.

The actress chose a navy blue version of the dress and paired the look with Lanvin tan T-strap pumps, a gold Jennifer Meyer “S” pendant necklace, a horseshoe charm bracelet and pearl stud earrings.

Katie finished her look with lightly smoky eyes, pink lipstick and glossy straight hair.

I’m slightly torn on this one as I love the lavender version on Taylor but adore Katie’s chic, sophisticated look – especially her gorgeous heels and pretty jewelry.

My vote is going to Katie as I much prefer her accessories and the elegant look she went for, plus I think this look is nothing new or exciting on Taylor.

There was yet another LBD on the red carpet last night, this time courtesy of Katie Holmes.

She was in New York City for the premiere of her latest movie, “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.”

Katie wore a simple black halter dress from her own Holmes & Yang collection.

Whilst Katie looks beautiful…blah, blah, blah…the dress is identical to the dress she wore to the LA Film Festival back in June.

Katie has always been incredibly bland to me, but this sinks to a new low.

I thought Cameron Diaz had the most uninspiring promo tour, but that prize now goes to Katie.

The v-neck dress black dress was teamed with nude Alexandre Birman heels.

On the plus side I do like her curly hair.
