Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Julie Bowen In Carolina Herrera - 2014 SAG Awards

Julie Bowen mixed it up on the red carpet Saturday evening (January 18) in Los Angeles at the 2014 SAG Awards.

The ‘Modern Family’ actress, who isn’t known for being sartorially adventurous, made one of her boldest choices to date in a dress from Carolina Herrera Spring 2014 and dramatic drop earrings. She finished the look off with a Rauwolf clutch and Jerome C. Rousseau shoes.

The burnt orange, brown and white dress featured a color-blocked bodice and graphic skirt. Everything about the dress from the color combination to the graphic is unusual yet it somehow all works.

A Brigitte Bardot-inspired ponytail was another fashion-forward choice executed to perfection.

It’s exciting to see Julie having fun with fashion and even more exciting to see her pull it off.

Julie Bowen In Carolina Herrera – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Julie Bowen made a colorful splash on the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

The ‘Modern Family’ star wore a rich, color-blocked Carolina Herrera Fall 2013 gown paired with Jimmy Choo shoes.

This is a very strong look, but Julie pulls it off flawlessly. The rich textures and bold structuring of the gown are dramatic and fun, and she made an excellent choice keeping the jewelry to a minimum.

Her relaxed updo and flawless makeup complete this winning look.

Modern Family Fan Appreciation Day

In honor of yesterday’s ‘Modern Family’ Fan Appreciation Day, hosted by the USA Network in Los Angeles, the TV show’s leading ladies stepped out in support.

Ariel Winter: Usually one for shorter fit-and-flare dresses, the young actress went with the tuxedo-inspired Alice + Olivia ‘Arrow’ two-tone boned jumpsuit instead. To finish, she styled her cocktail look with black patent-leather peep-toe pumps and two embellished cuffs.

Julie Bowen: The star chose a paisley print-heavy dress from Etro’s Fall 2012 runway. Aside from the dress’s colorful print, it featured other standout details as well, including a drop-waist silhouette and a flirty black ruffled hem. To complete the look, Julie wore black Jimmy Choo ‘Myth’ sandals, a large cocktail ring, and a bright Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch.

2013 Environmental Media Awards

The 2013 Environmental Media Awards were held at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California on Saturday evening.

Malin Akerman: The blonde beauty wore a Christian Siriano white-and-black dress with an asymmetrical skirt. She styled it with a black Prada clutch and Walter Steiger ankle boots, which would pull down the look for me.

Hayden Panettiere: The ‘Nashville’ actress wore a fitted long-sleeved Georges Hobeika Fall 2012 dress which featured a racy lace top with banded panels and an orange skirt. Sadly, her nude bra wasn’t close enough to her skin tone.

Julie Bowen: When I see Julie in this pale pink gown I ask myself, “is she over-dressed, or are Malin and Hayden underdressed?”

Julie Bowen In Zac Posen - 2013 Emmy Awards

Julie Bowen doesn’t always catch my eye, but you couldn’t miss her on the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Sunday.

Joining co-stars Sofia Vergara and Sarah Hyland, Julie looked breathtaking wearing a pale-pink Zac Posen Resort 2014 mermaid gown with a wonderfully dramatic hemline.

I have always wondered how one walks in a gown like this, but Julie carried off the look with elegance and poise.

Nude satin Christian Louboutin ‘Hyper Prive’ peep-toes and Jacobs and Co jewels accessorized her look, with a chic updo with side-swept bangs completing her best-ever-yet look.
