Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jessica Chastain had an early wake-up call on Tuesday morning filming a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ in New York City.

The beautiful actress wore head-to-toe Yves Saint Laurent, pairing a classic teal dress with blush-tone pumps and an oversized leather bag.

Jessica is, of course, the current face of YSL, and based on how perfectly she wears this look, it’s easy to see why.

I love how the jewel-toned dress complements her fair skin and red hair.

Jessica Chastain made a return to the red carpet last night for The Weinstein Company screening of her latest movie ‘Lawless’, hosted by Yves Saint Laurent on Monday evening.

It’s a no-brainer that the face of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté wore a head-to-toe YSL look.

Her black vintage Yves Saint Laurent frock from Decades features a ruffled asymmetrical hem and a large bow on one side which is a rather adventurous flamenco-style look for the reserved actress.

Black YSL Tribute Mary Jane pumps, on-trend blue nails plus a selection of vibrant multi-coloured Tom Binns bracelets added a tropical pop of colour to her look.

Side-swept waves and a hot pink lip colour provided the finishing touches.

With this being the second black YSL dress Jessica has worn in her last three red-carpet appearances, do you wish to see more of her in YSL, or do you hope she mixes things up in future?

Actress Jessica Chastain has been wowing us on the red carpet for some time and it seems she has also caught the eye of the folks over at YSL as she has just been named the face of Yves Saint Laurent’s new fragrance, Manifesto.

‘We were won over by the very subtle strength of Jessica Chastain, her solar charm, her free mind,” said Stephan Bezy, international general manager of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté at L’Oréal. “Jessica embodies the quintessence of Saint Laurent’s femininity, a woman of her day and age, independent, determined, never where you expect her to be.”

How does she pull it off? The alabaster-skinned red head is a devout vegan and yogi, but make-up artist Mary Greenwell also knows what beauty products it takes to achieve her stunning red-carpet looks.

Jessica gets her flawless complexion with the help of Suqqu primer, Chanel Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup and Crème de la Mer concealer under the eyes.

For her old-school Hollywood glamour look at the Cannes premiere of ‘Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted’: smoky black eyes using Bourjois Ombre Strech Eyeshadow in Glitter Black and lots of Tom Ford Beauty Extreme Mascara in Raven for thick, long lashes with Chanel Le Crayon Khol in Noir in the roots of the lashes. Chanel Espiegle blusher mixed with a bronzing powder called Soleil Tan de Chanel Moisturizing Bronzing Powder and lips painted with the classic Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in Gabrielle.

For her daytime look on Kelly! Live (top left): a mix of Chanel Illusion d’Ombre Epatant #84 and Chanel Ombre Essentielle Blazing Gold #407 eyeshadows to warm up the eye and layers of Chanel Sublime de Chanel Mascara in black to open it up. Guerlain Brow Pencil in Blonde to fill in the brows, Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Espiegle, and for the lips, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Empreinte lined with Bobbi Brown Lip liner in Ballet Pink.

I was just about to call it a night until Jessica Chastain caught my eye.

The actress dazzled on the red carpet in New York City this evening for the 66th Annual Tony Awards, held at the Beacon Theatre.

Dressed in a nude sheer Marios Schwab Fall 2012 long-sleeve dress, I’m sure this look is going to bring up much debate.

Enriched with Swarovski Elements, this embellished frock could’ve gone two ways:

Jessica could’ve lined the dress losing all the mystery, intrigue and possibly even the details.

Or, she could’ve worn the dress as presented on the runway with the built-in corset for support.

I’m glad she chose the latter.

It may not be to be to everyone’s liking, but I find that Jessica doesn’t take enough risks on the red carpet.

This one paid off for me.

Silver satin Giuseppe Zanotti ankle strap peep-toes completed the look.

Love or loathe?

Jessica Chastain took to the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted’ yesterday evening in New York City.

The actress donned a vintage Yves Saint Laurent strapless dress from Decades.

This is the thing I find frustrating about Jessica. I don’t find this strapless sheath dress with a sweetheart neckline exciting.

I think the cute Carven ensemble she wore to ‘Live! With Kelly’ was much more fun and appropriate for an animated movie premiere. This is a photocall look at best.

A vintage Yves Saint Laurent belt nipped in her waist. The rest of her accessories included YSL pumps, an Aurelie Bidermann cuff and matching studded earrings.

She styled her hair into a pretty updo and a rose pink lip colour completed her look.

Sharing promotional duties with Jada Pinkett-Smith for ‘Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted’, Jessica Chastain made a guest appearance on ‘Live! with Kelly’ in New York City this morning.

The actress can be a tad inconsistent, but I love this Carven Fall 2012 look she wore today.

A lightweight black lamb suede peplum top featuring a white collar, short sleeves and cutout details at front was paired with the same tailored blue satin shorts we saw on the runway.

Nude Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps, a coral lip colour and glossy, wavy tresses completed her look.
