Get The Look: Jessica Alba’s Luminous People’s Choice Awards Makeup

Jessica Alba People Choice Awards MakeupThough her white, form-fitting Jason Wu dress was definitely a stunner, Jessica Alba’s gorgeous, bright skin and subtle smoky eye was definitely swoon-worthy. The unpretentious look paired with sleek hair parted down the middle, Jessica’s look gives minimalistic a totally new meaning.

Makeup artist Monika Blunder was inspired by Jason Wu’s Spring 2014 runway show, which featured clean, understated makeup looks.

For Jessica’s look, Monika started with Lancome Teint Visionnaire, smoothing out the canvas for flawless skin. She then followed up with Naked Flushed by Urban Decay and created dimension along the cheekbones and outer perimeters of the face. Next was a dusting of Lancome Blush Subtil Palette in Menage A Trois Glow, a rosy mauve coupled with a pale pink highlighter for extra radiance.

For Jessica’s eyes, Monika kept the look neutral with Lancome Color Design Eye Brightening All-In-On 5 Shadow and Liner Palette in Taupe Crauze. She blended a bit of the soft peach all over the lids to really brighten the eyes and added a hint of glitter to amp up the glam factor. Jessica’s eyes were lined with the Lancome Artliner 24H Eyeliner in Black Diamond for definition.

Her lashes were then sculpted with generous coats of Lancome Definicils Mascara.

Monika finished off the look with a swipe of Lancome Rouge in Love Lipcolor in Fall in Rose, a dazzling pink to really make her lips pop.

The end factor? A beautiful, dewy face and immaculately defined eyes–the perfect compliment to the perfect dress!

Jessica Alba In Jason Wu – 2014 People’s Choice Awards

Jessica Alba In Jason Wu - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Jessica Alba was nothing if not white-haute, as she made her way down the red carpet at the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night (January 8) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The actress smoldered in a Jason Wu Spring 2014 design that was anything but plain-white or ordinary.

The true drama was in the details here, as the strapless, front-zipper dress visibly traced the subtle, yet sexy lines of its corset structure and boning. It also laced up the sides for added sultry appeal.

Proving, once again, that white pumps aren’t disappearing anytime soon, her Casadei ‘Blade’ heels were actually just the right fit for this frock.

Adding even more spark to the look, Jessica carried a shiny metallic Rodo clutch and piled on the gold rings—nearly one for every finger—by Eva Fehren, Jennifer Meyer and Dionea Orcini, which only highlighted her lacquered, dark-green manicure. She also wore Jennifer Meyer earrings and an Eva Fehren bracelet.

Of course, her bronzed glow was also a major accessory—that and her super-sleek locks and a frosty pink lip that contributed a fun pop of colour.

Celebrities Love…Coach’s ‘The Borough’ Bag

Celebrities Love Coach's 'The Borough' BagThe latest accessory on the celebrity set’s arms has big shoes to fill. Inspired by New York City and its five boroughs, Coach’s ‘The Borough’ bag delivers on its lofty Big Apple-influenced name. As iconic as the place it represents, the sleekly versatile tote is hot yet oh-so-cool, downtown and uptown, and subtle but sharp.

Jessica Alba recently topped off her sidewalk-chic ensemble with the oxblood-coloured ‘Borough.’ Of course, Sarah Jessica Parker has been carrying this NYC-inspired bag, putting an elegant edge on her modish-mommy, jeans-and-tee look with one in jade green. Lea Michele went for the classic black ‘Borough,’ which only added more punch to her hat, shades and combat boots.

Also making the Coach bag a must-have of the moment is a laundry list of trendsetters, including Karlie Kloss, Poppy Delevingne, Liu Wen, Drew Barrymore and Freida Pinto.

Effortlessly transitioning from day to night, the bag can pump up any street-style look with its richly hued polished calfskin, pebbled leather and leopard varieties, along with large and mini versions.

No wonder everyone’s boasting ‘The Borough’ by their side.

Jessica Alba In Current Elliott x REVOLVE & Isabel Marant pour H&M - Out In Santa Monica

Jessica Alba showed off her impeccable street style while heading to her offices in Santa Monica, CA this week.

While you can’t miss her bright-red Saint Laurent ‘Sac de Jour’ holdall, it’s the rest of her look which grabs my attention, especially her festive ‘The Crew Neck’ black jewelled tee from the Current/Elliott x REVOLVE collection, which she styled with gold-printed Isabel Marant pour H&M loose-fit pants.

The mother of two worked a rocker vibe into her look, adding a gold-zipper biker jacket and mod Jimmy Choo ‘Dart’ buckle booties, with a collection of gold jewels and House of Harlow sunglasses rounding out her look.

Do all the elements of the look work together for you or should she have left one thing at home? The bag, perhaps?

Jessica Alba In Reem Acra – 2nd Annual Baby2Baby Gala

Jessica Alba In Reem Acra - 2nd Annual Baby2Baby GalaYou couldn’t miss Jessica Alba, as she swept into the 2nd Annual Baby2Baby Gala at The Book Bindery in Culver City, California on Saturday evening, where she joined a host of other star moms.

Donning an intensely hot-fuchsia-pink number, the actress had me at hello in her Reem Acra Spring 2014 design that probably glowed in the dark, as well.

While the princess, ball-gown silhouette could have been too saccharine, the brilliant, edgy colour is what saved the look from standard-issue and sealed the deal on this dress.

Add to that a ravishing pair of turquoise and sapphire earrings, and a wispy, messy updo that certainly didn’t take itself too seriously, and you have a look-at-me statement that is far from try-hard territory.

A navy Rodo clutch completed her look.
