Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2009 presentation a truly feminine collection. Several of the dresses were very seductive by their bright floral prints and slinky silhouettes.

The red carpet dresses, were was by far the best pieces of the collection, with stunning shapes, embroidery and bead work. I especially love the metallic taupe strapless dress with embroidered leaf detail.

Ready to take in another show after attending Marc Jacobs show earlier in the week, Jennifer Lopez arrived wearing a strapless black Oscar de la Renta dress, with a pair of open-toed black heels to match.

Michael Kors presented his Spring 2009 collection with the theme being Triple A: Architectural, Athletic and American.

The collection has a colour palette mostly made up of red, white and blue, with some yellow and black thrown into the mix.

Polka dots of different variety’s were presented in this collection, as well as mixed prints, and block colours.

Sheath dresses, capri pants, sweaters, 50s style volumous skirts, and cotton tees were presented alongside accessories including oversized handbags, white wayfarer sunglasses, capri pants to complete the nautical look.

Blake Lively wore a black and white Michael Kors Lattice A-line dress, with double ankle strap Michael Kors sandals.

I would have expected to have seen more of Lively this fashion week.

Jennifer Lopez attend Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2009 show in New York this week, wearing the same dress, with YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps and a black bag.

This panel detailed dress looks amazing on both women, but I have to give this one to Jennifer, as her delicious curves hug the dress so well.

We finally get to see Jennifer in that coral and white Oscar de la Renta dress, which we saw in candids back in July.

We saw Jessica Biel in a similar editorial for Harper’s Bazaar for their August 2008 edition, but it did not nearly have as much spark and personality as Jennifer’s editorial for Elle.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On Dolce and Gabbana: “My babies! I love them, I love them, I love them.”

On Donatella Versace: “We’ve always had a very sweet relationship. I really got to know her more after her brother had died.”

On Georgina Chapman: “She could be a model-but meanwhile she’s down there pinning and sewing all these things all over you!”

On shooting in Washington Heights with Oscar de la Renta: “We were in the hoody! All kinds of locals hanging around, eating out of paper bags, thinking, what’s going on here? It was crazy.”

On being pregnant and commissioning a book of photos of herself for Marc two weeks before giving birth: “I was like, How am I going to rock this moment of my life?… I felt very womanly. Marc was in a dream. He loved it.”

On not being able to get pregnant right away: “We knew nothing was wrong with either one of us-I had been checked, and he had kids already. I knew Something’s not ready here, in my head or in my life, and when it is, I know it’s going to happen.”

On first realizing she was pregnant: “I was sitting down doing hair and makeup and I felt a flutter. The weirdest little…flourish. My makeup artist said ‘What’s the matter?’ I didn’t say anything, but in my head, I was like, I have life inside me!”

On her pregnancy: “We came off tour and I said ‘I did the superwoman thing, I finished the tour-now I need you to take care of me. I love doing things for you; if I’m not cooking, then I’m picking out a shirt. But this is the first time in my life where I’m just going to be a little bit selfish. I don’t know if I’m going to have kids again, so I want it to be a beautiful experience. I don’t want to have any drama. I want to just be smiling every day.’”

Even without make-up, the actress is still beautiful.
