Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jamie Winstone hit the red carpet in Leicester Square last night for the London premiere of her latest movie ‘Elfie Hopkins’.

The actress, who has shaved her head to play a soldier in the new series of ‘Mad Dogs’, wore a Giles Spring 2012 dress on the red carpet.

Her red-and-beige short-sleeve floor-length dress was styled with a large statement ring and complemented with a matte red lip colour.

When you go for such a bold cut like this your makeup needs to be flawless, which it is in this case.

I just wish she’d smoothed out the dress before having the photo taken as the crease around the waist cuts her in the middle, preventing her from having an elongated figure.

In short, I find this dress very unflattering for her.

In London last night Net-A-Porter.com and Mr Porter.com hosted a party to celebrate Dolce & Gabbana joining the forever expanding list of brands on their virtual shelves.

Celebs donned in their finest Dolce & Gabbana treads to join in the celebrations at Net-A-Porter HQ.

Naomi Campbell: The supermodel and long-term friend of Mr Dolce and Mr Gabbana wore an animal print chiffon halter dress with black Alaia cut-out suede sandals.

Alexandra Burke: The British singer opted to wear a dark pink Dolce & Gabbana strapless lace bustier which she teamed with black lace Dolce & Gabbana peep-toes and a gold clutch. The clutch is really not working for me. Like really really not working for me.

Jamie Winstone: As you know I have a soft spot for Jamie. The British actress is never boring on the red carpet. She opted to wear a colourful Dolce & Gabbana floral print satin dress which she paired with Michael van der Ham blue devore wedges, which were worn over black socks. I was going to say that her shoe choice is shocking, but everyone else opted for black heels so I should be grateful she did something different. Read more…

Jamie Winstone has decided to go back to being blonde after previously experimenting with pink and purple.

The actress attended The Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition Preview Party in London yesterday wearing a Vivienne Westwood Fall 2011 printed floor-length bustier dress.

On anyone else I would’ve hated the blue glittered Dr. Martens, but Jamie very much pulls them off being a fashion rebel who never plays by the rules.

Also you can’t get a more iconic British look than pairing Westwood with Dr. Martens.

I’m sure Vivienne loves Jamie’s interpretation of this look which was originally presented on the runway as a skirt.

Jamie Winstone showcased a new hair colour or should I say colours, on the red carpet at the Esquire June 2011 Launch Party in London last night.

The fun-loving actress, who’s usually blonde, opted for a pink fringed do with blue streaks for a fresh summery/punk look.

She rolled up the sleeves on her white House of Holland Spring 2011 cropped top which has a purple tropical tree leaf print.

The top was paired with white pants from the Lacoste Spring 2011 collection.

I loved the sporty vibe I get from this look, but I wish she’d pulled down the pants an inch or two.

The pants could be either high-waisted or quite long on her as she’s rolled them up.

An oversized Pauric Sweeney clutch and Nicholas Kirkwood platform sandals completed her look.

I find it interesting that she contrasted the light look summery look with metallic accessories.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how well turned out our British celebs (we’ve adopted Kylie) were on the red carpet for the “Sex And The City 2″ London Premiere tonight.

Kylie Minogue took a rare night off wearing Pucci to wear a Gucci Spring 2010 gown.

Her black gown has the trademark harness details on the bodice.

Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton paid her own tribute to BFF Victoria Beckham, as she wore a colourful dress from VB’s Spring 2010 collection.

Victoria wore the strapless version of this dress earlier this year.

Peaches Geldof  opted for a colourful Matthew Williamson Spring 2010 dress which has been modified from the runway.

Her version is sans the glass fringe shoulder details.

Jamie Winstone wore the same Vivienne Westwood dress which Thandie Newton wore to the Met Gala.

I didn’t like it on Thandie and I dislike it even more on Jamie as she doesn’t have the height to pull this look off.

She carried a Pauric Sweeney Ball bag.

I love all these look minus Jamie’s.

The best thing about this picture, is the woman in the background who is literally wetting herself with laughter at the ridiculousness of Amanda Holden’s ballerina tutu dress.

What is she like 5 years old?

This looks like something I would’ve worn to ballerina classes as a child.

Not a good look for a 39 year old woman.

YES 39.

Her look was paired with Louise Goldin for Topshop studded pumps.

We’re used to seeing stars don the same dresses within weeks or months months of each other, but rarely do we see stars wearing looks six years apart.

That was the case with Claire Danes and Jamie Winstone who both wore this Alexander McQueen Fall 2004 gown.

Claire Danes wore the nude gown with the contrasting criss-cross stripes to the Costume Institute Gala back in April 2004.

The blonde actress teamed her gown with a softly curled updo, delicate drop earrings, fresh-faced make-up and a simple gold clutch.

Jamie wore the dress to the 2010 BAFTAs.

She sported a Marilyn Monroe ‘do and a ruby red pout.

I love that Jamie had fun with this look.

Her ‘do and red lips gave her look character and personality so she wins for me.

Jamie Winstone arrived on the red carpet for the “Boogie Woogie” Gala Screening at the Prince Charles Cinema in London last night.

The British actress is over the old Hollywood marcel waves she was sporting recently, and is now giving us an edgier Debbie Harry ‘just got out of bed’ ‘do which is really working with her wild child image.

I love her Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010 dress. I love how she didn’t get seduced by the pretty floral print as she still kept her look edgy.

The stunning spaghetti strapped dress has lace accent on the dress, and a sexy lace frill at hem.

Her look is paired with a black peep-toe heels and a black clutch.

I hope I can squeeze this onto the BDOTW poll, as I LOVE this look.
