Florence Welch In Alexander McQueen – 2012 Brit Awards Performance

Following her red carpet appearance at the 2012 Brit Awards in Alexander McQueen, Florence Welch also performed her hit single ‘No Light, No Light’, wearing a different McQueen gown.

Whilst her gown isn’t a runway piece, you can see it was clearly inspired by Look 31 as it has the same gold embroidered detail on the bodice.

The significant difference is the beaded chiffon sheer skirt and the sleeves, which makes for a more wearable performance look.

Florence is fast becoming the perfect brand ambassador for Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen.

It’s a beautiful working relationship, and I’m keen to see how this develops in the future.

I’m unable to pick a favourite of the two gowns, as both have exquisite details and Florence wears them equally well.

Florence Welch In Alexander McQueen – 2012 Brit Awards

The Awards ceremonies just keep on rolling.

Tonight in London, the 2012 Brit Awards are being held at the O2 Arena.

First to hit the red carpet was Florence Welch who will be performing with her band, Florence and the Machine, at the lavish ceremony.

The singer opted to wear her second look from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 collection.

Her ethearal nude gown with a rise-and-fall skirt and Couture-like detailing has been modified to include sleeves – wisely considering is mid February. Sleeves were also added to her previous McQueen Spring 2012 look.

Whilst the singer didn’t opt for the gold harness detail, she did wear the Alexander McQueen wedges sans frou frou.

I know many of you are o.v.e.r. seeing Florence stick to this colour palette, so what do you think of her in McQueen on this occasion?

The Brit Awards will be shown on ITV1 at 8pm this evening.

Florence Welch In Erdem – 2012 Style Awards

Florence Welch also attended the 2012 Style Awards held in London this evening.

The singer wore a fitted Erdem Spring 2012 dress with three-quarter-length sleeves and a shirt-like collar in a muted blue floral print.

The dress was paired with matching ankle-strap heels by Nicholas Kirkwood.

This fitted look for the singer is a refreshing change as we’re used to seeing her mostly in flowing garments.

The granny-chic print is very Florence and very appropriate for the UK event.

Shiny red locks and collections of rings complete the look.

Florence Welch In Kenzo – BBC Radio 1

Florence Welch was spotted leaving BBC Radio 1 last week.

The singer, who we are used to seeing wearing floaty chiffon gowns on stage, opted for a very different look on this occasion.

She wore a Kenzo Fall 2011 suit.

Whilst the paisley suit looks like the handy work of Maria for ‘The Von Trapp Children’, I have to say Florence kinda makes it work for her.

She teamed the look with Ralph Lauren purple suede loafers, a beaded necklace and a tan Jason Wu ‘Jourdan’ bag.

Florence Welch In Gucci – ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve’

Florence Welch was a busy girl over the holidays. Not only did she open the Harrods sale, she also performed on ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve’ hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

The singer belted out her hit single ‘Shake It Out’ wearing a Gucci Spring 2012 dress.

Her black art-deco dress with gold details including a fringed skirt was modified from the runway version we have seen on Evan Rachel Wood, as Florence’s dress has ¾-length sleeves with gold draped chain details.

Black-and-gold Gucci heels from the same collection and red lippie completed her look.

If this is feeling a tad déjà vu, that’s because Florence wore a dress similar in style on ‘Jools Holland’ last year.

Florence Welch In Chanel – Harrods Winter Sale

Florence Welch opened the Harrods sale on Wednesday, much to the delight of her fans and bargain hunters.

The flame-haired star arrived on a vintage double-decker bus, rather than the traditional horse-drawn carriage, before performing ‘What the Water Gave Me’ from her acclaimed album, ‘Ceremonials’.

The singer donned a black Chanel Fall 2012 gown with a wool cape.

I don’t know about you, but I find this look too sombre and very depressing.

It looks like she’s going to a funeral, not celebrating the opening of the most anticipated sale in the UK.
