Fan Bingbing joined her cast mates at the premiere of her new film “Wheat” last week, which opened in cinemas yesterday.

Many of you know I have a massive girl crush on the beautiful Fan.

She always looks so amazing on the red carpet, and admire the fact that she doesn’t stick to the same formula.

As you can see from these two looks she can go from quirky a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 look with YSL heels, to a stunning Valentino gown paired with an exquisite diamond necklace.

You may remember that Rachel Weisz wore this same gown during Cannes Film Festival.

In promoting her new film, Fan has appeared on two major magazine covers.

The first was the September 2009 issue of InStyle China.

She is an absolute knock-out on the cover wearing a embellished wool crepe two-tone dress.

Hair, make-up and accessories are all working together to make this a stunning cover.

Her second cover is the October 2009 issue of L’Officiel China magazine, where she wears a Chanel Fall 2009 look which includes the runway white hat.

She’s back.

Zhang Ziyi it back on top form after being outshone by her co-stars and failing to impress on recent red carpet outings.

Zhang arrived at this event wearing Chanel Couture Spring 2009 dress – rather than her usual Armani – looking absolutely breath-taking.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find a full-length picture, but it’s all about her stunning dress with it’s floral appliqués and black sequin stripes.

Fine silver jewelry complement her delicate look.

Definitely a BDOTW contender.

Fan Bingbing usually wears a lot of girlie colours especially pinks, but on this occasion she wore a dark olive Givenchy Fall 2009 layered floor length Georgette gown.

The one-sleeve gown had a padded shoulder, a draping panel on front, and half a peplum.

A high up ‘do covered with a head wrap or turban, with a long wrap-around leaf detailed necklace, a black bangle and black ankle strap heels completes this edgier look for the beautiful actress.

It’s not often we see two Chanel Couture looks on the red carpet at once, but Zhou Xun also wore a dress from the Chanel Spring 2009 Couture collection.

Her ivory creation was minus the runway collar, but Zhou added a statement necklace to her strapless ensemble.

I love the look both ways, but I like that the actress made the look more interesting for us by modifying from the runway look.

Pearl pumps completed the look.

Shu Qi who you will remember as one of the judges from the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, walked the red carpet wearing a strapless pink Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2009 satin gown.

The gown was gathered above the waist with a circular silver clasp, which complemented her silver necklace.

Walking to the venue we were able to get a glimpse of Shu’s Roger Vivier heels.

I haven’t seen as much Christian Dior on the red carpet as I would have hoped this year, but Carina Lau fulfills my requirement wearing a Christian Dior Fall 2009 fuchsia pink Indian inspired gown covered in exquisite embellishments.

Again this is not a full-length photo, but Carina more than does this gown justice, pairing it with a stand out Dior clutch but keeping jewels to a minimum to let the gown do all the talking.

Chiling Lin showed off her amazing figure wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2009 gown.

She makes this backless plunging gown look like a well crafted piece of art sculptured to her body.

I’m sure she left jaws dropping in her wake of her stunning beauty.

Diamond earrings were all she needed to add to this look.

Leighton Meester’s avant-garde Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 psychedelic paisley print dress, which she wore to the ‘Costume Institute Gala’ had people split 50/50.

50% loved her bold unexpected choice.

50% disliked the look.

I was in the latter group, because I wasn’t keen on the matching leggings with this look.

Fan Bingbing wore the same dress last month to the grand opening of the Louis Vuitton flagship store in Shenzhen, China.

She proved to me that the dress works better without the leggings off the runway, and for that reason she wins for me. Plus I loved her hair and the black patent belt she wore with the dress.

Fan Bingbing was one of the many Asian celebrities to attend the Louis Vuitton Flagship Store Opening in Shenzhen earlier this month, and it looks like Fan has become a fan of the brand.

To the Shanghai Premiere of “Sophie’s Revenge” this week, Fan looked outstanding wearing a pink satin Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 mini dress with fishnet tights and YSL Fall 2008 black heels with a gold platform.

The dress is outstanding.

Aside from the colour I love the way it drapes, and I’m glad she didn’t feel the need to wear all the LV accessory’s.

I love her new rich auburn locks.  She really stands out from the other ladies. It’s a drastic but nice change to her much darker roots.

Co-stars Yao Chen, Peter Ho and Zhang Ziyi also attended the premiere.

Yao wore a stand-out aqua blue sleeveless dress with an silk draping neckline, whilst Zhang opted for a fuschia pink dress with black heels.

There was a time when Zhang would have stood out the most, but I’m instantly drawn to Fan.

Fan Bingbing wore the same avant-garde Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 psychedelic paisley print dress, which Leighton Meester wore to the Met Gala earlier this year.

Leighton ended up on many worst dressed list, but I wouldn’t put Fan on a worst dressed list mostly because she didn’t wear those matching leggings, which were Leighton’s downfall.

I really love this look on Fan, even though she toned it down.

Instead the beautiful actress wore tights, black wedges and carried a simple black clutch to complete her look.

Li Xiaolu also sported a re-run from the Met Gala.

She’s wearing the same dress Madonna wore minus the thigh high boots, fingerless gloves and bunny ears.

It’s easier to appreciate how cute this dress is without all the madness.

I’m glad she opted for a pair of cute peep-toes rather than the expected LV platforms.

Yao Chen gave us something new via her Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 ensemble which included a nude top and a pink skirt with a layered detail on one side and a black pom pom on the other.

I wish she hadn’t decided to bring so much attention to her clutch, so I could see more of her skirt.

She did opt for the LV Fall 2009 platform heels, which matched her bra strap which is poking out of her top.

“Sophie’s Revenge” is a romantic comedy from first-time producer Zhang Ziyi which opens in Chinese cinemas on August 14.

This press conference was held during the Shanghai Film Festival.

Regular reader Davor made a comment that Asian women almost always wear big fashion names such as Valentino, Chanel, Versace, Louis Vuitton, and Christian Dior to events.

Well at this event there was a Louis Vuitton look but everyone else wore a designer outside of those big names.

Chen Yao opted for a feathered Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 top with a bronze mini skirt and Spicy heels.

Ziyi Zhang took some time off wearing Giorgio Armani to wear a bow front Moschino Spring 2009 floral dress which she belted.

Fan Bing bing wore an asymmetrical Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2009 maxi dress with a leopard print which was modified from the runway.

My new girl crush Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin opted for a white and red circle print sleeveless Moschino Cheap & Chic Spring 2008 dress with a ruched skirt, plus red Christian Louboutin pumps.

You may remember that Dita von Teese has also wore this dress recently to the Coachella Music Festival.

All the ladies look really fabulous here, and I’m really glad to see them mix things up a little.

Halle Berry looked breathtakingly beautiful wearing a one-shouldered lilac Marchesa chiffon gown. Does this women ever have a day off not looking gorgeous?

The outstanding gown had silver crystal embroidery details on the bodice, which matched her bangles.

The actress is still working her sexy short do, but will eventually shave it off completely for her new movie “Nappily Ever After”. Brave girl.

It only Monday morning and we have two contenders for Best Dressed Of The Week.

Kelly Lin looks very sexy in her red hot plunging Versace Fall 2009 gown, with paillettes on one side of the bodice.

I love the colour, the gold clutch and matching bracelet.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find a full length picture of Fan Bing Bing wearing this pink Versace Spring 2009 gown.

The dramatic folds and bold colour helps this stunning gown stand out.

You may remember January Jones wore the blue version to the Golden Globes earlier this year.

I much prefer Li Bing Bing’s Chanel Spring 2009 ensemble on the runway.

I prefer the way the skirt sits lower, but I understand that Li wanted to show-off her Louis Vuitton Spicy heels.

Li’s skirt also has too much fou fou, I feel like it needs padding down.

Zhou Xun stepped in the Chanel archives, and picked out this gorgeous Fall 2007 Couture haltered creation.

I’m glad she didn’t try to style her embellished dress with a pink bow and cape, with the boots and gloves like on runway as it would have been overkill.

She kept her look simple opting only for black simple satin pumps and a black embellished clutch.

Zhang Ziyi was gorgeous as always wearing a low slung ivory strapless gown with rosette details on the hip.

Fang Bing Bing’s Salvatore Ferragamo red keyhole strapless gown is gorgeous, but unfortunately she doesn’t carry it as well as the model on the runway.

Its hard to tell if she just need to pull her gown down, or she’s just a wee bit short for the gown.

Betty Huang Yi opted for a quirky Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 ensemble which included a feathered skirt, and Spicy heels.  Her orange necklace, and bangles added some much needed colour to the this look.

Ruby Lin is one of my Best Dressed at this festival wearing a purple one-shouldered Versace Spring 2009 gown.  She’s glowing with gorgeousity.

Sun Li opted for a teal blue Valentino Spring 2009 off-the-shoulder gown. Simple, yet elegant.

After really impressing me at Cannes, Zhao Wei opts for a plunging black gown.

Actress Yu Nan wore an embellished haltered baby blue Valentino Spring 2009 with a draped detail on the skirt.

Charlene Choi also wore a dress from the same collection. She picked a cream one-shouldered mini with a layered skirt and embroidered bodice.

We haven’t seen many of these rise and fall Nina Ricci Spring 2009 gown on the red carpet, and we will still have to wait as Jang Seo-Hee opted to modified hers from the runway.

She still looks amazing though.

Miriam Yeung opted for a Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 high neck black dress, with JPG’s signature cross on the bodice.
