Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Fan Bingbing had a busy night, as she also attended the L’Oreal Paris 15th Anniversary dinner, held at Plage Orange during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

On this occasion she wore a Valentino Spring 2012 Couture gown.

Her floral chiffon dress is so heavenly with the pretty floral print and bow accent.

Some of you say she does pretty too often and free from imperfection, but I say what is wrong with that?

This look is one of my favourites from Fan. But I have a feeling I may say that again before the festival is out.

A top knot, coral lip colour and Ferragamo clutch completed her look.

Which gown did you prefer?

The Elie Saab or the Valentino Couture?

Fan Bingbing gave us high-octane glamour at the Chopard Trophy event held at the Martinez Terrace during Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening.

She stunned wearing an Elie Saab gown.

Her forest-green fully embellished gown with a plunging neckline appears to be from the Fall 2010 collection.

I recognize those sequins as they are similar to the ones which adorned Scarlett Johansson’s Tony Awards gownreminisces about ScarJo’s glory days.

Her gown is perfectly complemented by emerald Chopard jewels and a black Ferragamo clutch.

Once again her hair is swept up into a top knot and she applies a coral lip colour.

Elie Saab and Fan Bingbing, as always, is a winning combination.

Fan Bingbing glided down the red carpet like an elegant swan whilst attending the ‘De Rouille et D’Os’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening.

The Asian actress wore her first Elie Saab Couture dress of this festival; one of many, I’m sure.

Her nude lace gown from the Spring 2012 collection also featured a matching cape.

This on-trend caped look was styled with dazzling Chopard jewels and an embellished Ferragamo box clutch.

The gimmick-free actress kept her hair and makeup simple on this occasion, styling her hair into a top knot and opting for a neutral lip colour.

I wasn’t crazy about yesterday’s look, but this is more like it.

Fan Bingbing opened up her 2012 Cannes Film Festival account in typical traditional fashion this evening at the opening ceremony.

She glided down the red carpet like an elegant swan wearing an ivory embroidered Christopher Bu strapless gown.

The green accents on her gown were complemented with emerald Chopard jewels and a green-and-gold Elie Saab clutch.

An orangey-red lip colour and a traditional hairstyle completed her look.

Thanks to those who shared that Fan’s hair is a symbol of the Tang dynasty’s noble women and the gown has embroideries which tells the stories of the four beauties of ancient China.

Even though I received few complaints about a gown taking the lead in this poll the whole weekend, Angelababy’s Barney Cheng gown still won best dressed this week.

My favourite was Fan Bingbing. After a few disappointing samey gowns, my girl was back to her best in Tadashi Shoji.

Her themed look with a dash of Hollywood glamour gave me goosebumps.

She’s back. Fan Bingbing is back to giving me goosebumps after a succession of so-so red-carpet looks.

The Asian actress looked sensational at the 2nd Beijing International Film Festival opening ceremony, held at the China National Convention Center this evening wearing a Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 gown.

Her blood-red velvet gown with a black lace beaded bodice is a classic case of East meets West.

Asian influences including a crystallized Judith Leiber ‘Pagoda’ bag are mixed with old Hollywood styling featuring marcel waves.

Bold red matte lips and emerald Cartier jewels completed her look.
