Emma Watson In Vera Wang – Oscars 2014

Emma Watson In Vera Wang - Oscars 2014

Emma Watson was also among the stars at the Oscars 2014, hosted Sunday night (March 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Taking the evening’s light shimmery, metallic trend into moodier territory, the young actress donned a Vera Wang Fall 2014 pewter gown.

The fine gauge ribbed knit tan-and-black stretch lamé dress featured a crew-neck bodice and godet mermaid skirt, providing a sportier look on top mixed with a more dramatic spin on bottom.

The edgy-contemporary vibe was complemented by a Chanel Fine Jewelry ring and Anita Ko ear cuff, along with her pulled-back, mussed-up ’do and vampy red lip.

An Anya Hindmarch ‘Crisp Packet’ clutch completed her look.

Emma Watson In Giambattista Valli Couture – Elle Style Awards 2014

Emma Watson In Giambattista Valli Couture - Elle Style Awards 2014

Actress Emma Watson was one of the first guests on the red carpet of the ELLE Style Awards 2014 (February 18) held at One Embankment, London this evening.

Wearing a Spring 2014 Couture dress by certified red carpet favourite Giambattista Valli, Emma encapsulated modern glamour.

With a daring the mini length, contrasting texture and bold cut, this was a strong choice.

I love the architectural shape and think Emma styled it perfectly as anything more would have over-complicated it and distracted from this wonderfully crafted dress.

A pair of classic pointed Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps, a Sophie Bille Brah ear cuff, rings by Bouchoron and Catbird and a chic red lip added just enough polish.

Emma Watson For Wonderland Magazine February-March 2014

Emma Watson For Wonderland Magazine February-March 2014

Emma Watson not only graced two covers for the February-March edition of Wonderland Magazine, but she was also guest editor.

The British actress donned a yellow crystal-embellished Prada dress with a pompadour ‘do on one cover and a Dolce & Gabbana dress on the other, this time sporting tousled tresses with a tiara.

Emma’s interpretations of the covers are “Afro Prada Bruiser or Elf Alien Queen. Your pick”, which she tweeted to her followers last week.

The publication hits stores on February 7th in the UK. Which one would you pick up? I think I will go with ‘Afro Prada Bruiser’.

Golden Globes Hair Trend Spotting: Deep Side Parts

Golden Globes Hair Trend Spotting Deep Side Parts

While plenty of different beauty looks were seen on the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globe awards, there was one major trend we spotted on the stars: deep side parts. Whether the hair was left down or pulled into a ponytail or updo, the deep side part was definitely the look to have.

Sandra Bullock’s hair was given a deep side part before being pulled into a relaxed side ponytail, and Emma Watson’s hair was sleeked into a side part before being wrapped into a messy-but-chic chignon.

A deep part was the foundation of Cate Blanchett’s retro-inspired faux-bob, and Kerry Washington’s hair was given a side part before being coiffed into shiny, loose waves.

Other stars who wore the trend include Reese Witherspoon, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Margot Robbie, Kaley Cuoco and Sarah Paulson.

To get the look at home, use a rat tail comb to get a precise line. Then, if you want a voluminous final look, apply a soft hold mousse, like Oscar Blandi Hair Lift Mousse and for a sleek final ‘do, go for a shine serum like Alterna’s Caviar Anti-Aging Polishing Serum.

Emma Watson In Theory – InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards Party

Emma Watson In Theory - InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards Party

Emma Watson added feminine sparkle to the red carpet as she attended the InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes post-party held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday evening (January 12).

Changing out of her strikingly modern Christian Dior Couture gown she had won for the awards ceremony, Emma channelled an altogether more feminine look in a sheer Theory by Olivier Theyskens Pre-Fall 2014 with swirling floral embellishment for the after-party.

Admittedly this was a bit of a surprise, but a welcome switch from her previous directional look, and I love the contrast between Emma’s two looks for the night. She really is proving to be one of the most versatile red carpet stars.

And she didn’t disappoint in the accessories department either. A cool Repossi ear cuff hinted at her love of directional pieces and added a contemporary spin to the pretty look. A classic pair of Christian Loubotuin ‘So Kate’ pumps and a tonal Edie Parker clutch were all she needed to finish this amazingly beautiful look.
