Diesel xXx Rock & Roll Circus, New York

Emma Watson was papped backstage at this event wearing a gold lurex jacquard DKNY Fall 2008 dress, which was gathered at the empire waist.

She completed her look with black pumps.

Another cute fab for Miss Watson.

Taylor Momsen has tried many looks to go with her new hair cut.

She recently tried a rock chick look, which involved too much make-up, but on this occasion, she gets the make-up just right, as we get to see how pretty she really is.

I am loving the whole look from the hair to the dress, but not loving the tights.

When I first saw Lindsay Lohan I was about to give her props. On closer inspection this is a holy hot mess.

The top is asymmetric, but Lindsay still opts for a strapped bra, when a strapless bra would have been less tacky.

The top appears to have a fault, which has been sewn with a thread lighter than the top.

I can see the label through her sheer top.

Finally she appears to have run out of fake tan, because her knees and the space from her ankles to her feet appear to be very white in comparison to the rest of her body.

Michelle Williams would have looked perfect in this outfit, if she was not trying so hard.

The gloves takes this look OTT for me.

“Sex Drive” Premiere, New York

I really dislike this dress on Taylor Momsen. It screams Paris Hilton.

Leighton Meester on the other hand looks gorgeous in her print chiffon Jason Wu Spring 2009 dress, which she wears with black pumps.

The Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation’s 13th Annual Grand Slam For Children, New York

Wow, for once I will not try to defend Mariah Carey style, as she looks stunning in this black one-shouldered Kaufman Franco gown.

The singer arrived with husband Nick Cannon. In their picture she shows of her signature butterfly crystal artwork on her back.

The love match that is Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi are beautifully co-ordinated.

CFDA New Members Party, New York

Leighton Meester’s beautiful electric blue peep-toe shoes, really stand out from her navy halter-neck dress.

Co-star Nicole Fiscella also joined Leighton at this event. She wore a LBD, which had an extra touch of fringe beaded detail on the shoulders.

St. Jude’s 5th Annual Runway For Life Benefit, LA

Selena Gomez struck a pose on the red carpet, dressed in a cute Egyptian-inspired black Robert Ellis dress with a gold embellished neckline.

She swept her hair to the side in a lose ponytail.

Inseparable sisters Haylie Duff and Hilary Duff walked the red carpet hand-in-hand.

Haylie stood out wearing a silver sequined top, with a black ruffled skirt, whilst younger sister Hilary opted for an all black number.

Hilary matched her snake-skin clutch, to her snake-skin shoes.

Much has been made about Jennifer Love Hewitt’s weight, but I think she looks great.

The actress wore a violet halter gown, which had a ruffled detail on one side.

Diesel xXx “The Creative Experiment”, London

Publicity hungry Paris Hilton wore a biker jacket, a pair of Les Chiffoniers sequin leggings and YSL tribute pumps.

This is a very different look for Paris, and I don’t think rock chick really works for her. I think she should stick to her tea dresses.

Fashion forward Roisin Murphy opted for this peach taffeta Luella Fall 2008 long sleeved dress, which she strangely wore with a black fez hat.

Pearl Lowe mother of model Daisy Lowe, proves that it is not only her daughter who can wear big names.

Pearl is on trend wearing a plaid D&G Fall 2008 pussy bow dress, under a black cardigan.

“The House Bunny” Photo Call, Madrid

Anna Faris has not been hitting any high notes on her promotional tour of her new movie.

On this occasion her Roberto Cavalli Fall 2008 black silk dress with printed A-line skirt is just OK.

Victoria’s Secret model Karolina Kurkova arrived at the 43rd Academy of Country Music Awards at The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas back in May, wearing a Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 two-tone playsuit, which had the back cut-out.

Emma Watson attended the Patrick Demarchelier Photo Exhibition Opening Party last week during Fashion Week, and she surprisingly wore the same playsuit.

I would not have thought this was Emma’s style, but I guess the young actress is still experimenting with fashion.

She wore her playsuit with a black blazer and Christian Louboutin Button-Web Strappy Sandals.

I much prefer Karolina’s overall look, so she wins this for me.

Fashionista in training Emma Watson, has been attending many fashion week shows, and appearing in many high profile magazine editorials, so it is not surprisingly that her of exposure to fashion has translated in a positive way onto the red carpet.

The young actress arrived on the red carpet for The National Movie Awards in London last month, wearing an white Alexander McQueen Fall 2008 gown, with a jeweled bodice.

She walked the red carpet like a season veteran wearing matching white jeweled shoes.

Naomi Campbell wore the same dress to the Ralph Lauren dinner in Paris last week.

The supermodel very strangely wore this dress with black suede boots, and for this reason Emma wins by a long mile for me.

Against a backdrop of the first Chanel store at rue Cambon, Chanel’s Spring 2009 presentation attempted to lift any gloom those fashion editors might be having about their clothing allowances possibly being slash during the credit crunch.

As standard the classic bouclé jacket were presented, but they also came in cropped versions of pale pink, and a black and white graphic check.

Also presented were mini sweater dresses, tunic dresses, stylish separates, latex pants, latex swimming costumes, shift dress and a cropped tuxedo suit.

An interesting feature that kept reappearing on the pieces were jeweled brooches, which had chains that were pinned to the hip.

Last season Karl presented two-tone tights, and he did it again this season, but this time the opaque/sheer split was horizontal, and it looked like cropped leggings on some of the models.

Evening gowns were full skirted, some with ruffles and frills, and others were made of sheer and chiffon fabrics.

Karl Lagerfeld produced a wonderful collection.

Claudia Schiffer sure does love her animal print.

The house model wore a long caramel cardigan as a dress, with a leopard print belt and t-bar sandals.

Zoe Kravitz is so darn cool.

The youngster wore a Chanel checked bandeau dress, with an array of Chanel necklaces and grey tipped patent black boots.

Emma Watson went all spacey on us, wearing a sliver dress with matching jacket, teamed with a pair of black leggings and strappy black wedges.

Milla Jovovich FINALLY ditch the Heidi braids.

She wore a military-esqe coat over her cream separates and Chanel black and ivory pearls.

Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring 2009 felt like a homage to the late designer with many tuxedo jackets, kimono jackets and superb tailoring.

The opening jackets were teamed with pants which had a dropped crotch and came in three lengths.

Transparency was another theme of the collection, with sheer blouses, jacket, and top over matching bras.

This was a classic collection with silk shorts suits, high-waisted tulip skirts, and elegant black shift dresses.

What I loved from the show are the leather mesh booties. OK they look incredibly painful to walk in, but they are so well constructed.

Top of my wishlist.

A tired looking Naomi Campbell was of course in the front row as the current face of the brand. She was wearing the celebrity favourite uniform YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps, with a grey YSL Fall 2008 skirt suit, with a black patent belt.

Yikes. Claudia Schiffer might like this animal print, but the print is not loving her.

Classy, classic, tailored. Of course it is Dita von Teese, who is also wearing the YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps.

Natalia Vodianova wore a very androgynous Givenchy Spring 2009 all black ensemble.

Yikes again. This time for Stephanie Seymour. The supermodel wore an Azzedine Alaia high-waisted leather skirt, with a jersey long sleeved top. This was fabulous, but the leggings really ruined this look for me.

Emma Watson has really impressed me this Paris Fashion Week. Some girls her aged would have been intimidated by the event and over dressed, but Emma has kept her looks consistently youthful, light and fresh.

She wears her snake embroidered YSL tee, with black YSL tapered pants, YSL Fall 2008 platform sandals and she carried a silver metallic YSL tote.

Sonia Rikiel Spring 2009 collection showed that the exuberant designer was in typically high spirits, which always translates in a fun show.

Models bounced down the runway wearing berets studded with rhinestones, ruffled blouses, sweaters with butterfly or lip motifs, mannish trouser suits, jumpsuits and candy-coloured ostrich feather gowns.

The second part of the show was a was a tribute to Sonia Rykiel’s 40th Anniversary in fashion. Models in Sonia Rykiel inspired looks took to the runway.

Each one was designed by some of fashion’s biggest names. Martin Margiela made a fur coat of Rykiel’s flame-red mane.

Rodarte produced a sweater dress which read “Obama.”

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac created the printed strapless dress, with the mane of red hair.

Jean Paul Gaultier paid homage to Rykiel’s title of the ‘Queen of Knits’ and he produced a ball-of-wool dress, with giant knitting needles and trailing a ball of yarn, and Jeremy Scott produced a Super(wo)man sweater dress.

Emma Watson was in the front row and attended the after show dinner wearing a metallic knit kimono sleeved dress.

Dita von Teese opted for more elegance, in a navy strapless gown with a mermaid ruffled hem.

Milla Jovovich is killing with that hairstyle. It really ruins her beautiful white beated Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2008 gown.

Christian Dior Spring 2009 collection was all about “Tribal chic” as John Galliano presented many short chiffon dresses and skirts.

Nearly every model walked the runway in a thigh grazing numbers, with six-inch heels and sculptural plaited Nefertiti inspired head-dresses.

Mirco-skirts were teamed with bustiers of python-skin, blazers and bowed blouses. Prints were heavily featured some with animal spots, to tie in the tribal chic reference.

A lot of pieces were see-through, but no doubt they will be lined by the time they hit both the shop floor and the red carpet.

The colour palette consisted of bright yellow, orange, fuchsia, blue, black and grey.

This was a beautiful collection, yet somehow I felt that Galliano held back. There wasn’t any over the top-couture like pieces in this RTW collection as I have come to expect.

The another shocking thing was that Charlize Theron was not in the front row.

Dita von Teese was in the front row, wearing a ivory Dior suit, which has coloured beadwork on the hem of the jacket and the skirt. The lady who usually wears a lot of dark colours has been embracing lighter colours recently, and it has been a refreshing change.

I do not recall seeing much of Marion Cotillard since her spectacular Jean Paul Gaultier gown at the Oscars earlier this year. This grey dress, is a little lacklustre, but her Mary Janes are worthy of drooling over. For me she has lost a bit of her sparkle.

Eva Green who usually goes all out when attending a Dior show is also very sombre wearing this Dior grey belted suit with her Dior Hermitage bag.

For past shows Eva would stand out wearing an amazing Couture piece.

She may have been at the Christian Dior show, but Emma Watson did a Anna Wintour and arrived wearing a Burberry Kentisbury coat.

I love her look, with the lace-up boots and the flawless nude make-up.

Lily Allen who is normally devoted to Chanel arrived wearing a gingham dress, with YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps.

Katy Perry sporting a white strapless flowery knee-length dress with lavender heels.

Faded Youth rightly stated on his blog that there was a time the front row at Dior was exclusive to A-list stars. Now it looks like anyone one-hit wonder can attend.

Zoe Saldana was also in attendance wearing a Christian Dior dot print shirt dress, with white Dior heels.
